They fit me in as a walk-in for my eyebrows and C'Yenna did an amazing job! She waxed, trimmed, plucked, and filled in and they've never looked better! The front desk girl was so sweet too. Love this place!
No frills good Italian food and quick service. Pricing is fair but bread is extra which is a bit rare for an Italian restaraunt. The pasta was Al dente and the shrimp was cooked really well. The arrabiata was light and not too spicy. If you want good Italian without a over-the-top Scottsdale boujeeness, this is perfect! Reminded me of home (east coast Italian restaraunts).
A great casual/dive pool and darts bar with plenty of patio space and TVs. They're chicken burger is INSANELY good!! Highly reccomend. The bartender Chanel is so nice and personable (and super quick with drinks) to everyone! Overall experience here was 10/10!
I still love Zu frequently dine there or get takeout. Their salmon sushi and sashimi is INCREDIBLE. The reason for the 4 star is because I have felt their quality of tuna has gone down a bit. The past few times I got it, it was super fishy. I've had tuna from other sushi spots around here and did not get a fishy flavor so it's pretty specific to them. Also, I ordered a house salad...granted it's like $3 but usually it's like spring mix and carrots maybe a little cherry tomato...no this is AWFUL! It's just shredded iceberg and WHOLE sliced tomatoes (see picture). I can't believe they have the audacity to sell this item. I've had many sushi house salads and it's safe to say this is the worst one I've ever had. The dressing was much more of a slightly ginger vinagarerte but overall I'm not eating these burger toppings in a takeout container.
Anyways, stick to their salmon sushi...it's FIRE! They also do good happy hour but not as good as Sushiholic lol
The food is some of the best Japanese in Scottsdale. This is a hidden gem but with COVID, they need to open up the other half of the restaraunt. They are short staffed and a lot of people want to go there for their reverse happy hour and they don't have the space for it right now. I don't mind waiting but I'm sure some people don't want to wait 40 minutes on a Friday night. Overall, best sushi, best Japanese. If you're worried about waiting call right before you go or get their takeout! So so sooo good.
I love this place! It feels very clean and elegant but still casual enough for a fun lunch. I love how they have their extensive wine selection with food pairings and they offer tastings. Our waiter Jason was an absolute doll and was very helpful choosing wine and entrees. I ordered the lunch sized pretzel crusted pork chop and it was HUGE! The pork was so tender and flavorful, the mashed potatoes were to die for, and the broccolini was cooked to perfection. I also tried their crispy brussel sprouts which were the perfect crunch to soft ratio. All around 10/10 experience and need to return since their menu is huge and I need to try everything!
