Cedar Hill Starbucks, how do you get it so right when so many others get it so wrong? I u.
I am not one to leave one star reviews, but this place is rapidly headed toward rock bottom. We used to be regulars at this restaurant through a combination of factors (lack of alternative food choices in Cedar Hill, we like the food, good prices and specials, etc.), but we haven't visited here in well over a month--it has gotten that bad. The staff are always rude and unsanitary when we come in here these days. Today, we were greeted with clear disdain by the cashier who acted like she resented having to work, at all. She sniped at us about the special, when all my sister said was she'd like to get the taco special. Then, she proceeded to play with the zipper pull on her jacket sticking it in her mouth, while taking our order.
As if that wasn't disgusting enough, when I picked up our order, there was a [blond] hair on the tray. The dining room wasn't much better. There was dried food on the table where we ate. (Not a first time occurrence.) "Ew. Gross." doesn't even begin to account for my reaction to this place these days. The one saving grace was the one employee who came through the dining room and swept up a bit of food/trash on the floor.
The food is okay--sometimes. Other times, it is downright disgusting. For example, they might have great tacos, but they have started watering the "queso" and barely putting any in the nachos. (What??? Who sells nachos with no cheese on it?!?!?!) Nothing like eating dry chips with lettuce and tomatoes on them. Yum! Not.
As much as I love Bueno, I honestly don't know if I can bring myself to visit this location again.
Would give this location a zero if it was possible. They are regularly short of necessary items (like cups!!!!) and the staff is the absolute slowest I have had the displeasure of encountering in any Starbucks. They have absolutely abysmal service and the cashiers are CONSTANTLY surly. They need training and an attitude adjustment.
Trying this location for the first time. We have been going to the Cedar Hill location, but their food and service seem to have taken a dive lately and we just couldn't be bothered to go back. So far, so good for this location. Maybe they've had a management and staff change since previous reviewers. (I do know the gal at the counter who helped us said she'd been there a month, so that may be it.) Our experience was really good. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. The food tasted good, as we expected.
We'll be back and I'll update again based on that experience.
I really wanted to like this place. The soup we started with tasted good, but that was as far as we got before I saw a roach crawling up the wall. Sorry. No can do. We made our apologies and got out of there fast.
Maybe if they clear out the pest problem we might try again.

I completely understand where you're coming from, Sara, and I'm so sorry that you had this experience. I can assure you that we take the cleanliness of our restaurant very seriously and follow all health and safety guidelines to the letter. Although this is an extremely rare occurrence, I'll be sure to investigate the situation to make sure it never happens again.
Can you tell me when you were in so I can start looking into this further for you?
