Fun immersive experience with wonderful hosts!

I've now been to two evening tea events & both were such a great time! The stories told, interesting facts about the history of the theme (everything from Krampus to Victorian burial practices to the origin of Valentine's Day), gorgeous home, & final setting of tea in the dining room were more than I'd imagined. It's easy to lose track of time & I found myself lingering at the end of night- not wanting the stories & conversations to end.

Dan & Diana are lovely humans. You can tell that they work hard to make this experience unique for their guests. While the tea almost became an afterthought for me, I'm sure there will be some people that want fancier finger foods or a broader tea selection. I was pleased with the food & tea both times. One thing of note, you don't get a full teapot for yourself (as I've had with other teas). You get to choose your tea flavor & it's an individual portion in your tea cup, but you can ask for more tea if you'd like!

Overall, I'd recommend the experience- not just for the spooks, decor, & tea - but for the people you'll meet & the wonderful hosts.

I always have a great experience here. I've been stopping in sporadically over the past few years & have found the selection to be plentiful (& updated regulator enough to always find new goodies). Lenora is wonderful & very knowledgeable about the different stones, where they are sourced, their properties, etc.

I'm always able to find some wonderful gifts for friends & I find new additions for myself. They have very competitive prices & I genuinely enjoy popping by for some conversation & shopping. Lenora is also very sweet with my pup when I bring him in with me.

Found this place by doing a search of speakeasies in the area. While technically it may not be a speakeasy, it definitely has an intimate & slightly secretive vibe. It's tucked inside the Marriott & looks like it might seat about a dozen people.

They had just updated their menu to be Prohibition era (they said they update the menu frequently). I had the Momoe & my friend had the Midnight Oil- both were fantastic (mine was served two ways- hot & cold).

Our mixologist was great & it was fun to watch him make drinks. Ambiance was dim, cozy, & nicely decorated. We were only able to stay for one drink but will definitely be back (& stay longer)!

This was such a great experience. My friend & I shared the Kashk Bademjan (eggplant delight) & the shirazi salad to start. The eggplant was amazing - savory with a delicious blend of seasoning & a yummy creamy texture. The salad was refreshing & light. I had the veggie ghormeh sabzi & my friend got the veggie gheymeh bademjan. Both were excellent & the crispy rice was perfect. We shared a Sophia (light chocolate with creme brulee middle, hazelnuts, & cherries soaked in liquer) for dessert & we left very full & very happy.

The service was very quick & attentive. There was live music which was the perfect addition to the ambiance. Would love to know the name of the band bc they were fantastic.

Will definitely be coming back!
