They say that first impressions are everything!
This was the vibe at Yasu on 2nd, when the hostess greeted us and had a very kind, genuine personality along with having a sweet sense of humor.
We had some great recommendations from her from the menu. Our waitress came and we ordered the Rockin' Shrimp with crispy rice noodles and the King Salmon with Broccolini and my husband ordered the Pork Chop along with our side of Mac and Cheese.

These dishes from the menu did not disappoint, everything so fresh and delicious!

The experience will take us back again and again! Looking forward to it! Great vibes!

I was able to edit my original post from my first visit thankfully. My first visit two years ago was good as to be expected with a grand opening. I recently returned with a gift certificate from my husband. The work done looked beautiful but took way too long, almost two hours. I had to return due to peeling of the dipping gel polish and my pedicure was changing color as well. They were very kind to fix my manicure with some filing and top coat polish. I didn't bother with the pedicure fix. I was unable to return immediately with traveling and my busy work schedule. I scheduled another appointment for a manicure and pedicure but, when I called to reschedule I was only rescheduled for a pedicure. I thought I was waiting for the manicure and was told that I only scheduled a pedicure. Not sure if I was rescheduling why only for a pedicure and not both?The miscommunication of the rescheduled appointment and an argumentative owner and employee saying that I only scheduled a pedicure which was untrue has lead me to no longer return. I didn't appreciate the embarrassment of the disagreement in front of customers. I felt it was so unprofessional. I kindly let them know of the miscommunication and was not expecting to have such an argument at a place you're "supposed to relax and enjoy," why call it Corner Joy? Unfortunately, this small business is too busy for their own good and doesn't value all of their customers like they used to. I do not recommend.

My two stars is based on the waiting time in line for food, the seating arrangement and then waiting an additional thirty minutes just to get your plate. Even the wait time for "food to go," takes a long time. We went with our family a party of eight and none of us were able to sit together, let alone eat together. The food slowly came out and others were done before we received our order. They also forgot one of our appetizers. The food is good here, but have some reservations due to lack of service with getting your order correct along waiting an exceptional amount of time. I don't recommend this place for larger parties, or at peak hours for dinner. I write this today since I went last evening with my sister in law. Once again we waited a very long time to have our dinner. We heard the couple next to us get upset with the server, why it takes so long? The server could only apologize with no reason. We love to support small businesses but to me I feel this place needs some attention.

My favorite nursery in Long Beach by far! If you're in need of some great customer service and some healthy and very well taken care of plants then this the place! A large variety of succulents, plants, cactus, Aloe, euphorbia will have your head spinning and you won't go broke with their great prices! I highly recommend Mezcala Nursery! It's my go to of all time!
