I'm so excited they came to town! The chef is from New Orleans and specializes in Cajun treats, primarily from yeasted doughs. The doughnuts are a long-time favorite - made fresh every day and they usually run out long before closing time, and not as cloyingly sweet as most. But what always brings me back is that he makes all kinds of other stuff, and it's always fantastic. From the elephant ears to the biscotti to the pies and sticky buns, it's all good! They do it because they love it, and you can tell (they're SO good this retirement venture isn't nearly as slow or leisurely as they'd imagined). Thank goodness I live a few miles away, or I'd be there even more!
