The stitching on my Ariats and the soles on my Durangos were shot. But Cascade Shoe Repair totally transformed them. I thought the Durangos were going to be a lost cause. Nope! I was proven wrong. Both pairs are very comfortable even after they were shored up.

Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job on the new soles and the stitching! If anyone needs to give their leather shoes new life, this is the place!

      Where do I start?

For an affordable hotel, the rooms are so cute and fun. They are clean and the turndown service is lightening quick. We went out for 1/2 hour and when we got back our room was brand new!

They have a good continental breakfast. It's the same very morning, but it is hot. It's not an amazing breakfast, just your carton eggs, patty sausage, potatoes, fruit, cereal, coffee etc... but it fills you up. They have happy hour with free drink vouchers, free nachos and free soda in the evening. 3 drinks per night for each day you stay! Say what?!!!! It's not top shelf, but it's "free". The good four letter word.

Their pool was refreshing. We went earlier in the day to avoid the midday crowds. The NW girl got a great tan poolside. Thank you Texas Sunshine!

Warning::: If your 1st floor room shares a wall with an outside entrance, immediately request a new room. All exit doors SLAMMMM!!! You will be woken all night long. We asked them for a new room the next day and they quickly arranged it for us. They even held our bags in their storage while we were out since they had to get the room ready for us. VERY KIND of the staff.

For that, I gave them 5 stars. Their staff are so hospitable.

Take heart my friends, 6th street may be full of bums and sketchy bar/cafes, but Old Pecan Steet Cafe off 6th street is a winner.

My sister and I stopped here for a bite while waiting in town for someone. I am glad we did. The food was delicious, iced tea was refreshing, ambiance charming, and staff was kind and helpful.

I forget exactly what I had, but it was an avocado benedict and it was SCRUMPTIOUS! So delicious. Need I say more? If you are a benedict fan, this is a must. My sister loved her meal as well.

My one complaint, which kept this from 5 stars, getting the ticket took some serious time. The restaurant had some bike cops and maybe one other couple and the staff were talking instead of making rounds.

No one will be put off if you cut the bill and place it on our table 10 min after food reaches the table.

      Food: WOW! GREAT!
      Portion: Huge. Worth it.
Price: Average. Not too much for how much you're getting.
Coffee: Seriously fresh and best in town (I don't say this lightly)
Service: Generally good. Sometimes awesome. Sometimes mehhh.
Atmosphere: Low key. Down home. Clean.
Wait time for food: Snappy. Fast.
Wait time for seat: This is my frustration. It's not so much how long anyone has to wait for a seat as much as it is how long people must wait before one of the staff realizes that a crowd has been waiting forever to be seated (with a bunch of open tables and booths no less). They see you waiting there, but they don't come to help you. What the heck? This is a serious short coming. It never fails that I have to flag down staff who are chit chatting at the pay counter. Seriously though, like 5 of the last 6 times we've went.

It seems like the number one complaint is seating time and waiting forever for clearly open seats. Easy fix guys!!!

Tip: Train staff to pay better attention to the waiting area and to seat customers before they head back to the kitchen with recent requests. You've got food and coffee down! Now focus on getting butts in seats.

Oh yeah, and a "Seat Yourself" sign works just fine in cafes and breakfast joints. Just a thought.

Looking to give you more stars.

I have went here three or four times to get Deluxe Spa french pedis. They always do such a great job. They also give great calf massages. This is my go-to girl's day out location.

They have really nice massage chairs and tanks. They also get you in pretty quickly even if you don't have an appointment. Although, I recommend one.

I love coffee and always get a hot Vietnamese coffee. So tasty. With drink and pedi combined, I pay an even $40 not including tip. Not a bad way to spoil myself.
