I tried Joe Schmoes Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and OMG it is HOT!! I love spicy things, and can definitely handle a lot of heat. But the spicy and cluckin hot level cross over that point from good tingle to painful one. So make sure you can handle that if you order those spice levels. The flavor and the chicken itself are delicious, next time I will just get a step down in heat level, and Schmoe's will have my new favorite spicy chicken sandwich! Their custard and fries are also still super delicious!

Love Joe Schmoe's! Best dogs around, great sandwiches. Poutine fries are amazing. Check Yelp menu for secret menu items. Frozen custard is a must try also. Always a make a point to stop herwhen in the area.

Update: Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich
I always want to try a NHCS wherever I go if available. I got the medium heat, which was plenty hot, almost broke a sweat, and I can handle heat. In my opinion medium was perfect. I'm sure I could handle hot, but cluckin hot might ruin it. I got the slaw on the side to keep it traditional. As with everything Joes Schmoe's does, it too was great. Perfect fry on the chicken, heat, flavor all traditional of NHC. I didn't see the poutine fries on the menu anymore, but I also didn't ask. Might have gone to secret menu status. Thanks again for great food!

Coldest beer in town.  Best fries ever....yep better than in-n-out.  Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

All the food is made fresh daily and is very consistent.

Traditional Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich is number 1.   Medium hot is good enough...tried the HOT...and was too much for me.

Custard is outstanding and unique.

Wow. Best chili cheese fries ever. No joke, I think they're the best I've had. Their Nashville hot chicken sandwich was impressive as well, not quite Howlin' Rays but still puts up decent competition for being in the suburbs.  Impressive that these guys have managed to create a relatively new hot dog/burger joint and still have all the honesty and simplicity as if it were in business 50 years.   Most new places, especially in your hipster areas, try too hard to make wacky overpriced menu items. Not here. Prices are very reasonable as, chicken sandwich is like $7 (compared with $12 for howlin rays in dtla!). Good place to come watch sports too, they have sleek wall TVs and serve booze

I really love the atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food! I recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with tots and a drink!

PHENOMENAL. There's really no other words to explain it. Got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and it was amazing! I was just in Nashville two months ago, and this is right up there with the real deal. And PABST BLUE RIBBON on tap! Lots of tv's. SWEET TEA. New favorite place by far. And extremely inexpensive. I'm going here again today, and tomorrow, and forever.

I almost always have the Blue Cheese Slaw Dog or the Chili Slaw Dog as I find them fantastic.  However, today the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was listed as the special so I gave it a try.  It had some kick and a very unique flavor that probably comes from the sauce on the sandwich. I highly recommend it and want all to try so that it becomes a regular menu item.   Thanks to Mike and the crew for always delivering a great customer experience.
