I'm one of the teachers here at the Yoga Center. I absolutely love this center! It's been here, in this same place for 46 years. How many places in Costa Mesa can say that?! I've been teaching here for over 20 years. I love this place and wouldn't go anywhere else! There is carpet on the floor, with a double layer of padding. So, you can be comfortable using a rubber mat, or a cotton mat either one. This center teaches true yoga, both postures and meditation. The word "yoga" means harmony of body, mind and inner spirit, and that's what yoga helps bring into your life, not just stretching and ease of movement, but relaxation, harmony and joy! We have classes available for all levels of yoga student... chair classes for people with mobility issues, classes that help you relax and go farther, and classes that help you challenge yourself and your body. We also teach many different types of meditation throughout the year. So, you can find that one meditation practice that works best for you, that helps you re-connect with your inner spirit. I've been 3 times now for free meditations and what can I say, how do u beat free? I was looking for a place to learn meditation and have tried other types and locations, and they're all good, but the practice offered through yoga center is more in line with what I was looking for. They also offer all kinds of yoga classes. I haven't tried yet but the costs seem reasonable. The meditations are offered almost every day with different instructors that walk you through different techniques. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming there. And after the meditations people stick around and maybe have a snack or some tea and get to know each other. I can't say anything bad about the place and I'm surprised that having lived in OC my entire life I had no idea this gem of a place existed. I need to get Alicia to join me. With her crazy workload she could use it.

I love everything about this place. I haven't felt this good for years. I used to have chronic neck and back pain which is now completely gone. I sleep better as well. All the instructors are amazing, in fact everyone associated with the center are great. The classes are varied and beneficial.

I purchased a discounted month membership through Living Social; I get yoga for free at 24 Hour Fitness, but as I'm pregnant, I wanted to do prenatal yoga. This place is great! The instructors were fun and before class started, they gave us all sorts of parenting tips. The class obviously isn't very strenous, given our physical condition, but, it was still nice to relax and stretch.
PS - don't forget to take off your shoes before entering the yoga room!

I absolutely LOVE this Yoga Center. The fee is reasonable. The teachers are all very kind and knowledgeable, and the place has great energy plus the fact that they have a store where one can purchase self development books, CDs, beautiful shawls and yoga mats, and more. I highly recommend anyone to try it. They also have one free week offer!!

I saw a flier in Mother's Market and thought I would give it a try. I have been attending consistently for over 3 years now. This place has been a wonderful place to expand my yoga practice, learn and practice meditation and grow spiritually. The instructors are great and always make me feel welcome. This is not the "harder, faster, stronger" approach and I very much appreciate the peace and serenity I find at the end of each class.

There's nothing more gratifying than to walk into a place after 29 years and find 4 people there from 29 years ago. The success of this yoga studio is rooted in all the main yogas, not just Hatha. The purpose of postures comes full cycle with your choice of dozens of meditation practices, visualization, and whatever spiritual practice you happen to walk in the door with. This little room (and retreat center on Palomar Mountain) has made my life so much easier and fulfilling. And thank you Yoga Center of CA for helping raise my daughter. She now teaches yoga in Vermont. We always talk about the base we laid here years ago. It's going to be a great 2018/19 now that I'm back.

I purchased the livingsocial deal for this Yoga Studio and went for the full month. The staff and regular's were all very friendly and helpful when I didn't understand the terms they used. The instructor even pulled me outside for a private session to teach me how to do effective meditation. I recommend this place!!!

A great place to practice postures and meditation. Small classes, great teachers, good energy.
