First let me mention the fresh smell of 420 all through the air, up and down Melrose, and floating amongst these guys sitting in front of the shop...people stoned out of their minds coming in for chicken wings...too hilarious!

Just the positive, happy vibes from the staff alone make this one of the coolest places in town. "Mike", who took my order was so nice, and very thorough in making sure I understood everything on the menu. Then there was the owner "Mike" who was also very cool. Just awesome vibes all over the place...they even called me by name a few times, making sure I knew everything there is to know about Love Baked Wings.

The wings were so good, and I'm not even a wing eater, but those were the best tasting wings I've ever had...from the seasonings to the sauces, everything was excellent.

I didn't try the Burning Jerk seasoning, but whatever is in that is no joke, because when the guys in the kitchen sprinkled it on whatever, the whole shop started coughing, myself included. Then we all started laughing when we realized it was the seasoning in the back that was making us cough.

The LBW Infamous was great (Yelpers got a free sample for checking in), and I can't wait to have more. My fav was the Sesame Ginger, sticky and tasty.

This is one of those places that should stay open really late, because I could definitely see myself coming in here at 2AM. An everyday spot, but definitely a weekend spot to stop by and enjoy some WINGS.

At first, I did not think much about the event because I was thinking, shit, I don't want to drive into a busy part of LA, deal with the traffic and parking just to get a free chicken drumstick, so I just looked over this event... but then I ended up here after all!! LOL.

My friends and I ended up being in the area was we were going to another TV taping, so my bestie looked up some events in the area. First off, I would like to say that this was a very clever event, from the name to the date it occurred on. First off, 4/20 for those who do not know is a day to smoke pot i.e get baked. This place is called Love Baked Wings... it was a Yelp pop up event... Yelp Gets Baked... on 4/20... but referring to food!! Great play on names and the meanings. Simple but clever and catchy.

Anyways, I'm glad my friends and I ended up here! It turned out to be a great deal and a great event.

First, it just was not one chicken drumstick that you could get gratis, but also a whole order of wedge fries, which alone with already $4! We each also ordered a half pound of wings each, except for one who ordered a salad. In the end, I got a full meal of half a pound of wings, an order of wedge fries, and a drumstick for less than $8! Each of us were allowed to redeem for our drumstick and wedge fries.

Second, the owner and workers were super friendly and nice. Service was great!! My order was taken by the owner. For your drumstick, the flavor given is the LBW special... but if you really really did not want that, they were willing to give you another flavor. I decided to go with that flavor and get my chicken wings in garlic parmesan.

The chicken was really good, juicy and flavorful. LBW flavor had a hint of spice to it. I liked my garlic parmeasan wings better though. I thought it was more flavorful. Wedges were good as well and really crispy. Fountain drinks are outside and self serve. What I really liked was seeing a handwashing sink!! I think many places should have that because most of the time, I just want to wash my hands before eating without using the bathroom!! This keeps the bathroom open for someone who needs it and I can just do a quick handwashing without a long wait!

Great event!! I also loved that they had complimentary Yelp mints on hand. After eating all the garlic wings, mints do come in handy!! I hope to see and go to more pop up events like this!!

This is the kind of small events I love! You get a small sample to try and then can decide if it's worth coming back for a full meal.
Is it the case here? Yes! Absolutely. I don't know what you are doing to the chicken in the US but it tastes so delicious: Moist and tender and full of flavour.
I'm so going back to try the rest of the menu!
Oh and the team is uber friendly!

This is a lovely place. With lovely people, serving lovely baked goods. But this is a review of the event... And this event is a tiny, little, adorable, rather silly ordeal. Don't get me wrong! Don't wrong me! Don't order me wrong and serve it to me! Don't obtain "wrong" and deliver it to me in a beautiful package! I love Yelp and this is fun! I'm having fun! But ONE wing? I need two to fly! Let's be symbolically logical! And the lady at the cash register, the... Cashier, if you will (I won't), please, (no), well anyway she didn't seem too aware of this event... Even with the Yelp mints right in front of her, she asked my date and I questions that seemed counterintuitive to "baked event" awareness. Like, even though I had the offer up in big red beautiful HD wonder on my phone, she asked to see me check in. I assured her I had already, and could not be shoving 'said' offer in her face if I had not have already checked in. She was quick to trust me; which sounds like something an asshole says. But, I digress: back into what I was talking about, which is what I'm currently talking about. Wings!

The wings are REALLY good! Quality, delicious, succulent, refined, coal mined, wine and dined, sexy, sexy wings. So I hope this event brought a bunch of people in. New consumers, as they say. Fresh fish, as they say. Jade pumpkins, as no one has ever said to me.

We were scared for a bit we wouldn't get to eat because there was too much technology, and it was taking a while because, we dunno... Maybe the iPads gained sentience and decided to form an uprising and decline humans of their chicken wings. You, uh - FORM, an uprising, right? Can you... Bake... An uprising?

Questions best left for church I suppose.

The wings are good enough to eat!

I love these smallish Yelp events when I get a chance to interact with the owner and talk about food. Baked Wings is healthy, delicious, and a convenient spot for those who work around Melrose looking for something fast casual that's reasonably affordable and quick.

The staff was great about explaining everything on their menu and their story. I can't wait to come back again soon!

      Thanks Yelp LA!

This was an awesome experience. I found out about the place via a yelp event for 4/20. I walked in and the cashier could tell it was my first time I how confused I was looking as I looked at the menu. She assured me that she would be with me shortly and she was. She explained every aspect of the menu for me so I could understand it more clearly. I decided to try a couple of menu items since this was a new place for me altogether. I chose one baked wing, one baked drumstick, and baked carrots.
While waiting on my food to be prepared I was greeted and met one of Yelps LA managers (she's awesome by the way). When my food came it looked pretty amazing. It also smell pretty awesome. I took one bite and loved the flavor of a baked wings. I felt like I had been misled my whole life with only having fried wings and never baked wings like this. I ate every piece of food I ordered and was ecstatic that I had a new place to eat on Melrose. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a different type of food in LA. You cannot go wrong with baked wings. Correction, you cannot go wrong with "Love Baked Wings"!!

Super friendly service. Tables outside and inside. The chicken's baked (no frying), tender and tastes delicious. They have other items like baked potato wedges and carrot fries that are worth checking out. The music and atmosphere are fun too.
