Fresno Yellow Cab

Read reviews about Bulldog Taxi, decided to try Yellow (559-495-1234), the Lady that answered was super nice & professional, she even called me 20 min later (as she first mentioned, 20 min, spot on!!!) to let me know the taxi was waiting for me on the street outside!

The Yellow Cab driver was also courteous/nice, and professional, even asking me to look on the floor of cab before I got out at drop off (quick store run, from home to to store and back) just in case my phone dropped, or something fell out of grocery bag, AWESOME!!!!

I'm human, and over 50 years old, something might have happened and my dumba-- wouldn't know it! LOL

Apparently Bulldog & Yellow are one in the same. Regardless, I had a PERFECT experience, VERY reasonable fare!!! Thank you!!!!! :)

BEWARE! UNRELIABLE! I called to schedule an airport pick up for an early flight and they never showed up. When I called to find out where they were, it sounded like they forgot, and the nearest driver was across town. I ended up having to drive myself to the airport and faced a large fee when I picked up my car 2 weeks later.

The guy drove fast...and then asks me 'how much do you want to pay" when the total was clearly $20...and because he's using Square, it let's you, the customer decide how much to tip rather than being pressured to tip right off the bat...ugh

Zero stars! I called for a cab, waited 45 minutes for it, only for me to call them back and have them tell me to wait another 35 minutes AT LEAST. (For the cab that I had ordered almost an hour ago!) I realize that they only had a single driver on staff on this Sunday, however the dispatch straight up lied to me. Not cool. Ten out of ten, DO NOT recommend.

I have worked for the owner Al Makki for two years he pays $7.00 an hour to us dispatcher's under the table,cash and cheats the drivers every day all day!
It's been hell , a very hostile work environment, one of his dispatcher's who worked for him 30 years and when she quit he was still paying her $7.00.
When COVID happened he fired all but two of us and asked us to work with him until this is all over and we would still have a job, he cut my hours to one day a week and $20.00 a shift and that's anywhere from 8 to 13 hours a shift. Business only slowed down for about a month but not too bad and when it picked back up I asked for my regular pay back he refused!
I've since quit a couple of weeks ago so this is my review for this company , it takes 2-3 hours for a taxi to get to you also the taxies are dirty and are not safely cleaned and sanitized for the next customer during this time of the Covid-19 crisis, the owner only cares about the money not his customer's so be very careful when using his company, oh and yes he has multiple business names which are Yellow cab, Bulldog cab, Checker cab, and City cab and he also uses his own car a white Prius we'll have a good day and be wise and don't use this cab service it really is a death trap!

So I tried once again to call for a taxi from this company (Out of sheer desperation) Don the a**hole dispatcher answered the phone. I let him know that I was in front of the Valero gas station. He confirmed and said it would be 15min. Exactly 15min later their shows up but speeds off. I called the dispatcher and told him what happened. This f***ng IDIOT tells me that I should of waived my hands at him. Obviously him and his drivers are incompetent and allergic to money. Needless to say A-1 taxi randomly passed by and I hailed him over and received a decent ride.
BEWARE: DONT USE YELLOW CAB IF A MAN ANSWERS. ITS DON who will make sure you DO NOT have a ride when needed.

I called in about 5 hours before I actually needed a cab for work at 12:20 am I spoke to a man and he assured me I would be picked up on time, however I wasn't I called at 12:25 and he said we showed up at 12 and no one was there. I know for a fact no one came out at 12 because if your not out there they call you and I never received a call. Definitely wouldn't recommend this cab company!!!

I would not recommend this cab service. We needed a ride to the airport in August 2018, and the driver did not show up. We were given various excuses when we called the cab dispatcher, and were told he would soon be there. We had no time to wait, and had no confidence he would ever show up, so had to take our car to the airport. There are other cab services. Do not take a chance with Yellow Cab.

UNRELIABLE AND UNCONCERNED.
Telephoned this morning at approx. 8:20 a.m. for a cab and was told it would be "15-20 min." I inhaled deeply and said "i must be at my doctor appt. at 9..." At 8:43 i called back and the same dispatcher informed me she "was still looking for someone to pick me up."

Looked up Taxis and called Scrip Taxi [had never heard of them]. Was told they'd be here in 5 minutes--and they were. Arrived at the physical therapy appt. 15 min late so received only half treatment. But at least Scrip got me there.

Looking over the numerous negative reviews of Yellow Cab i've got to ask "how do these A-holes stay in business"? They don't deserve it!

Awful spurge on the community and giving Fresno a bad name. If #CityOfFresno would revoke their license, I'm sure no one would protest. I watched as a Yellow Cab stopped at a Vallarta to pick up a couple who had gone grocery shopping. Would it have been courteous if the driver had gotten out to help them load groceries? Yes, instead he popped the trunk and sat waiting while they loaded. Ok not his job, but still would have been nice and got them on the road that much sooner. But the worst was while they were loading he proceeds to roll down the passenger window and throw out his garbage into the parking lot...really??! I thought the days of litter bugs ended at age 6. How rude, unprofessional, and illegal according to city code. This company and its behavior should not be tolerated or supported. Shame on you Yellow Cab.
