7/17/2016A sister restaurant of the Yami Sushi house - a bistro which serves standard sushi combos as well, but whose main concept is custom sushi rolls. What an epic idea. You sit down, grab a little pencil and begin the box-ticking build-your-own-roll exercise. You can choose a) the type of wrap, b)type of protein (up to two), including: salmon, spicy salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, eel and some further cooked proteins (such as fried shrimp), then up to four fillings (I went with delicious avocado, mango and seaweed salad), two sauces and two toppings. Finally, you pick whether for some extra money, you like your roll fried or with a slight touch of fire, you sign the paper with your ordered creation and wait excitedly.
Seeing all the possible sauces and filling options, I was actually a tiny bit intimidated and skeptical of my own ability not to pick some kind of Franken-sushi concoction, as there are seemingly endless possibilities. But there is no need to fret - I ended up absolutely loving my sushi (as gigantic of a monster as it was with all the generous filling) and every member of my party of five was happy with theirs as well. For one of our friends, the kitchen ended up swiftly sending their order back and recommending a better combination of sauces, as apparently the spicy mayonnaise would lose its bang with the frying. So if you do end up picking something that might be an issue, you can rest assured that the staff will direct you so the final product is to your liking.
The custom sushi roll comes in eight pieces and boy, do you end up going home pleasantly full. I complemented my sushi with a delicious and very gentle miso soup and by the end of the meal, my appetite was pleasantly satiated. All together for a good price of a little over 300 crowns. I will definitely be coming back. - 353279151
2/14/2020This is likely the best sushi place in Prague. Stop looking. This place serves up classic sushi as well as their own signature rolls, and there's an option to make your own roll! Its a great value at about 300 krouns, and you can choose a protein, 4 fillings, a topping, and a sauce. My friend got it and it was huge! It's probably big enough to just get one roll. All of the portion sizes were quite large as well. I ordered salmon avocado, BBQ eel, and a California roll. I'd skip the California roll, only because the others were so impressive. BBQ eel really surprised me; I'm not usually a barbecue fan and it was so flavorful. The fish is fresh and the sushi is well done and well presented. The prices are comparable to suburban American joints, but the quality is higher. The interior is cute and clean. I'm looking forward to my next visit and ordering a custom roll.

7/31/2018A sister restaurant of the famous Yami sushi. It's located in the Gourmet passage Dlouha. Love to be coming here for customzided rolls when you can simply style them up in the way you like the most. The service is nice and the ambiance is also very pleasant. Great place for all sushi lovers but you can also find other Asian meals and starters like ramen etc

8/18/2016Yami Sushi Bistro attempts to bring quality sushi to the younger demographics with its young 'hip' interior, but the prices are still borderline high.
{Food and Drinks - 8/10}
We got the Sunkissed Roll and B-Bibim (bibimbap with beef). Both tasted great and the portion was very good. The only complaint is that they charge extra for egg on bibimbap; as a Korean, that made me roll my eyes.
{Interior/Atmosphere - 8/10}
This is no 5-star luxury date night location, but its clean and minimal interior design creates a very pleasant atmosphere to eat and chat.
{Service - 7/10}
The staff speaks decent English.
I recommended this place and will definitely go there again when I crave good sushi. - Cara Shea K.Baltimore, MD03
7/4/2017Delicious sushi in a quiet corner of the Old Town Square neighborhood - about a 10 minute walk from the square and well worth it. Bright, clean, attentive and delicious sushi (including custom rolls) and bimibap, A wonderful change from heavy Czech food and reasonably priced.
