Q:
Anyone know if they are open during this pandemic?

As of April 26th, I know they were closed with a sign on their door saying that. I doubt they’ve reopened.

Definitely was excited that Winsor decided to open a branch in Quincy around my neck of the woods. During first week of operation, looks like others felt the same way...the place was full house on Sunday evening. Love being able to order dim all day long and not just during brunch hours.
Quality is up to par to the Chinatown location. They offer $10 every day special dishes which is a pretty good deal if you want to try a bunch of stuff without breaking the piggy bank. Service is prompt overall.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Damao L.East Weymouth, MA0101Feb 24, 2024
I don't know why so many people go there. Today was my first time going there for breakfast with my partner. The utensils on my side were dirty, the tea cup looks like never washed, there was a dead ant in my plate. The color of the jasmine was the same color as the urine, and did not taste like tea. The water tasted funny, I am luck I got a bottle of water my bag. The food we ordered did not taste good. We called this is our one-time-pass place.
There is another dim sum place near 99, at least the food tastes much better than this place. Very disappointing visit!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 30, 2023Updated review
As inflation keeps on getting worse, prices of food is still going up... for $100, I remember you can get so much dim sum that can feed 4 people . Recently went and spent $100, can barely feed 3 people....
Winsor here in Quincy will always be my go to spot for dimsum.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Mar 28, 2022Previous reviewBeen a few months since I had dim sum at Winsor so I made sure I got some today on my day off. It was a perfect decision right after the gym. Everything is fresh as always. If I could, I would eat here once a week. I just love dim sum in general. From the chicken claws to shu Mai to shrimp noodles. I love the shrimp noodles here at Winsor because you can add scallions and cilantro . It's so good with it!
Mar 23, 2021Previous reviewAnd I'm back LOL always my go to spot when I crave for dim sum . Everything is so FRESH. Must get the clams/scallops with vermicelli noodles. Item #SP 33!
Jan 31, 2021Previous reviewMy favorite dim sum spot to go to hands down! Even during these covid days, I still come to show support. Everything you get here is fresh and cooked to order. I know they're handling the food with care and follow safety protocols. Definitely would recommend this place to everyone who wants fresh and good dim sum.

Sad to give a negative review here, because I do like this place. The Boston Location is better in my opinion.
Location: I would say it's convenient around other Asian offering available in south shore, Street Parking is plenty, I haven't experience much trouble finding parking.
Food: definitely leaning toward the good ones i have as I'm very into Dim Sum.
Service: My issue with dim sum in many places is the tea/water charge which this place has well. My 15% on total which is like 18% before tax goes toward just ordering food and taking over food. Dim Sum often do not offer any service due to nature of the business. A dining restaurant often have server checking up on their customers, refill drinks, ask about dessert, etc. Dim Sum is where you check off what you need and ask for a server yourself. Tipping in Dim Sum has been my biggest pain point for decades but it's not the icebreaker for me.
Now my reason behind the negative review. I had a meal there last year, and I found a hair inside a roll. I asked the server to bring a new empty plate because i found a hair in a roll. Of course the server did, but nothing after that. It was like it's a casual thing here, he walked over, took away the plate, brought me a clean plate, and walked away. Normally under the circumstances at elsewhere, I would likely see the server apologizing, possibly follow up by a store manager with an explanation and promise to do better in the future. Imagine a server killed a cockroach on your table, then proceed to walk away with it like nothing happened. that's how i felt when i walked out and vow to never return again. I wouldn't mind going to the one in the city, but never again in the quincy location.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Aunquilla T.Taunton, MA01813Mar 25, 2024

I love dim sum and I'm so glad I got to come here. The food was delicious!! The pricing was reasonable and the portion sizes were good.
That being said, I came on a Sunday morning with a party of 2 and the wait was at least 30 minutes. It was crowded inside and loud (which is how you know the food is good) and it was interesting the way the tables were split up for different parties using dividers. I also felt like the service was slow after we were seated especially because I don't speak Chinese. As to be expected from an authentic restaurant, I suppose.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 591334820May 16, 2023
Everything was so good! Two dishes that I thought were particularly good were the congee and the fried sesame ball with the salty egg yolk(?). Generous filling in the red bean buns. Authentic, tasty, and great value.
- No carts, you order everything on a piece of paper. There is a menu with pictures that can be helpful!
- Most tables don't have a lazy susan
- They give you a pitcher of hot water to refill your tea, which is quite convenient
- Efficient service. Our food came out pretty quickly.
- Cash only sign on the door but per other reviews it seems you can pay with card over a certain minimum. We paid $20 pp and were able to try a bunch of dishes!
- They try to be as fast as they can about seating people, although sometimes you have to share a table with another partyHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris C.South End, Boston, MA1801559Mar 15, 2024
I wouldn't get the spareribs again as it was plain as well as the rice rolls, or the radish cake as it tasted too similar to another type of dry fried flat noodle dish. I would come back again if needed.

We went in around 4/5 on a weekday and it was empty. It is a cash-only establishment, but there's an ATM up front. As far as food, we ordered five dim sum and a noodle dish. The noodle dish never arrived, even though the server wrote it on our dimsum sheet, which was fine since they didn't charge for it and we weren't really hungry for more anyways. The dimsum itself was not bad, but not the best I've had. The Har kau was 7/10, the pork dumplings were 10/10, the spring rolls were 10/10, the pork and peanut dumplings were maybe 2/10 (weird textures and flavors), and the fried pork buns were 11/10, with an incredible flavor of sweet and salty. Id recommend the fried buns and pork dumplings for sure. The dipping sauce was too vinegary/sweet and did not really go with the other flavors on our table. Overall it is just an okay dim sum place, especially for the price.

Two times I have been here, there was a wait and need to share the table woth strangers. I am fine with both as long as the food is good. And it was !!! Small place but lots of return customers tend to come here. Must say something...
