poor care, unprofessional staff top to bottom, hands on caregivers hate their job and demonstrate this by their rudeness and the poor care they provided. Protect yourself and love one. Run to find another facility.

Visited family member there only a week. I would hope with what I see from reviews that they work at all the poor areas. Or close.
Inspections are necessary. Fines are necessary where needed.
God help them! Let's see improvement and now. You take the funds we trust you with loved ones.
Make a humanitarian efford to do the best for our family and friend.
Ring the bell and some one comes pretty quick for bathroom visit etc. Improve food. Clean up the surrounding area outdoors. Put some nice spreads on the beds. All good ideas. Make it top ranked place. No tiny tiny rooms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A decent double or single room. Have someone advocate for clients. Check out how you are doing!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amy B.Burlington, MA8361Oct 22, 2017
Glori, one of the nurses on the first floor is a wretched human being. She is rude, uncaring, and dismissive. I'm terribly sad to leave my grandmother in her care. I asked her to call my grandmother's physician and she just walked away. We need higher standards to care for our elderly.

Horrible place....should be called Shitgate at Reading. My mother is here and the level of care is terrible. If you have a loved one sent here you must advocate for them. There is definitely a lack of communication with the staff. I wouldn't serve the food here to my worst enemy. God forbid you ring your buzzer.....someone might come if you are lucky. There is definitely a lack of professionalism. I gave one star because it makes you in order to post your review.

Never send a loved one here. My family was appalled at the lack of care, professionalism, and communication among staff. As a nursing student I was appalled at how my grandmother was treated during her stay here while recovering from knee replacement surgery.

Not enough staff to care for the patients. Plenty of nurses, who gather at the nursing stations and gab. But, they're above the daily care of washing, transferring, etc. And they won't pitch in when short staffed, which is all the time these days. There are a few caring, hardworking staff. But even they accept that patients get shoddy care, because they have to. The food is very poor. Patients often not showered for weeks at a time. Men growing beards because no one shaves them. Uncut fingernails and toenails. Call lights that go unanswered for extended periods. The nursing home was just acquired by an out of state company and things have gone downhill. No more flowers in the planters, but that's the least of the problems...

I worked in the kitchen briefly. The food was appalling. The kitchen manager didn't care if they ordered decaf coffee. He would put regular coffee on their tray. I quit because the kitchen help worked with NO break. There was no time. Some of the kitchen help was also very unfriendly. Worst place ever.

My father has been at this facility for one week. The absolute worst place. The aides that are hired to sit with patients are rude and lazy. We have witnessed at least two of them sleeping while on the job. They are unresponsive when asked for assistance. One even told us that one of the patients she was sitting with was crazy. This is appalling. Thank god we will be moving him out of this facility this week.

I wish I could rate them a negative star. It is an inhumane place. The staff there are horrible. My aunt was there two month's and is now in the hospital dying due to neglect. I am beyond disgusted. This poor woman has dementia and they would just leave her food next to her, knowing she can't feed herself. They would give her drinks knowing, she can't drink herself. They would dress her in other peoples clothes. Her teeth were stolen by her roommate and it was reported and we were told those were her teeth and not my aunt's when we clearly saw them in her roommates mouth. The owner's of this facility should be ashamed of themselves.
