Unfortunately I do not have a positive update. Still more delays, still more poor attention to detail and customer service from the team managing this for us. We're now on month nine for this project while we've had friends build entire homes in shorter periods of time.
**RESPONSE TO WINE CELLAR INNOVATIONS**
I am not surprised that this company is not taking any accountability. We have a signed proposal sent in on October 5th and Wine Cellar Pro was managing the entire project, including construction.

We understand you are currently unhappy your cellar is not complete, but the timelines you are stating are incorrect. You placed your deposit for your order on 12/31/20 and you were informed production would take 10-12 weeks and we installed your order on 3/29/21. One of your pieces of glass was bowed so we processed a replacement for it. Upon arrival the replacement part was not the piece needing replaced so a second replacement was ordered and shipped this week and will be replaced in the near future. The additional time you are referencing is related to the actual construction of your cellar, which is a service we do not provide. You asked for a reference for someone who could handle both the remodel and the cooling for your space, which we provided to you names of people we have used in the past for those services. You are unhappy they took longer than you wanted to build the room out, but you were under no obligation to utilize those referenced sources if you had someone else who could have completed your space quicker. Those companies are not employed by Wine Cellar Innovations, nor did you send any payment to our company relating to their services. We are sorry they took longer than you wanted to complete your remodel, but as for our production time we produced the product within the timeline stated to you with the exception of the replacement piece of glass.Apr 23, 2021Previous reviewI would be very wary of signing any contracts with Wine Cellar Innovations if you are hoping to have your project completed this year. We signed with them in September with an assurance the project would be done by Christmas. We are now nearing May and no end in sight. We have experienced poor customer service, lack of proactive updates on delays, lack of any follow up when promised, no calls only texts, and just a poor experience overall. We hope to amend this review once our cellar is finished but at the 8 month mark we're still waiting.

After placing an order for two wine racks on January 31st, we've made multiple calls to the company asking for updates on when we can expect to receive them. Having to wait is not the issue, but they have done nothing to provide us with estimated days of delivery.
Instead, we've been given various tracking numbers after calling. These tracking numbers only ever show "label created", often at the very time and date we called. Not only is it incredibly frustrating to be put off by their customer service team (often having to call us back or promising to send an email later instead of handling it on the phone), but it is beginning to feel like we have been scammed for pieces that will never arrive.

Designed a room for my house with their help, just by sending them dimensions and pictures, they sent me this! Now everyone that sees this in our house for the first time says something like "holy crap!" Or "that is amazing!"
The kit is very straightforward, just grab some wine and take your time with it. Wait, actually... You're dealing with power tools, so skip the wine until you're done. As I had been building a wine collection stored mostly in boxes in a cool room in my basement, I decided my quarantine project at home to keep me busy would be to make a full-on wine cellar with one of my rooms. Wine Cellar Innovations has tons of information on their site on how to start on the project, and it was a lot of fun to clear out the space, insulate it, and get it ready for their racks. The racks themselves were great quality mahogany, and largely assembled. It takes a bit to get the hang of the way they go together, but once you build your first rack, the others go together super easy. They even included an air nailer setup which made it a breeze - I couldn't imagine doing it any other way! They also offer a free design service which I tried (because hey, it's free, why not?), but I wanted to add a bit more complexity to my design, and as you can probably already tell I'm more of a DIY person in that regard anyway, I took on measuring and fitting in components they have available.
Everyone I dealt with was excellent, and the only reason it's not 5 stars is that despite them including multiple spare pieces in the racking kits, there were a few pieces that came incorrectly cut from the factory. I contacted them and they sent replacements no questions asked, so it was only a bit of delay in completing the project.

Frustrating. Waste of Time. Non-Functioning Systems. I just needed price tags, that's it. I tried to place an online order. The response was that "The transaction was denied." Knowing that there wasn't an issue with my account, I re-entered the order assuming that I made a typo. The system response was "A duplicate transaction was submitted." The 2 messages can't both be true.
I called Sales. The person stated that there wasn't a transaction but it takes 30 minutes for it to show on his end. I called back an hour later to place the order over the phone. The online total was $39.83 yet the over the phone total was $53.08. I didn't place the order.
It's shouldn't be hard to place an order.
(2/24 Update) Alex from WCI called me today about the review above. The systems issues should be resolved with new software developers and a system design error was the reason for 2 different prices for the same product. On our website we price by how many tags you buy, we do this to save customers money if they are buying in bulk. There is an option at checkout asking how many packs you are buying to adjust the price for you and as our system shows you had selected the 10 pack discounted price even though you were only ordering four. This accounted for the price difference you saw after calling us, our sales person used the correct discount for 4 packs.
Furthermore, we reached out via phone call to discuss options on correcting the frustrations you felt using our online ordering system, but even though we offered to send the tags for free during the call you were not satisfied with that option either and felt the offer was a bribe.
We are sorry that there was nothing we could do to satisfy you.

I was looking for a high quality solution to store my collection of vintage red wines. I found the perfect solution at Wine Cellar Innovations. I made my purchase online not really knowing what the quality of the product might be but hoping for the best. My product arrived packaged well and with no damage. The assembly was straightforward and easy with the available tools I already had. The color of stain was a perfect match to what I saw online and I now have a beautiful wine rack in my basement which all my guests compliment.

I think they are out of business. Nobody answers the phone. Web Site is down. Calling names of employees shown on LinkedIn in any department (sales, support, etc.) using dial by name directory results in "name not found" or for the two names that did connect, the voicemail was full. I am not optimistic that I will get the $2,000 order I placed in April. No communication from company other than email acknowledging initial order. No Status, no updates - NOTHING - unless I called them. After first month of frustration I called and reached someone who was clearly off-shore and was told I'd get product in early June (would have been nice to know when I placed the order that nothing was in stock). Now its mid June and I haven't received anything, I can't reach anyone online or otherwise. In an era of Amazon-like service levels, modern eCommerce technology, these guys just don't get it. Thankfully I have protection from my credit card company. My next call I guess I have to reverse the charge and start over.
UPDATE 6/15/22
After posting my review a now former employee sent me a note on Yelp. She said:
Hello, I read your review and yes the company closed down yesterday. He let go of all the employees including myself without a notice. I received information that he will be filing for bankruptcy and that all the customers who had orders placed will get their money back but I'm not sure how the timeline for that will look.
I wanted to message you to confirm that the company is closed. I'm sorry you had this experience.
I'm not an office employee, just a regular factory worker so there isn't any more information that I know or can give you.

They have gone bankrupt. The only way to get your money back is to file a dispute with your credit card company. No communication, no update. Some sketchy guy answers the phone and offers to place a new order for you with a new company...run!
