Me and my dad always wanted to check this place out since our favorite boxer Manny Pacquiao was trained by the legendary hall of famer Freddie Roach! At best just wanted to see the outside and a glimpse of the inside. When we went just outside the door to our surprise was greeted by Freddie himself! I told him it was our first time visiting this place and he gave us a tour of the gym! My dad was in awe of his stories and myself too seeing where many great boxers got to train. And nice to know you can also box here if you wanted! Everyone was pretty awesome in the gym. Was so great meeting Freddie and actually getting to talk to him. Very down to Earth and humble. I know it meant the world to my dad so. Thank you Wild card gym and Freddie! Hope to come back again!

Put your f@ckin' phone away and punch.
This is a place for self-disciplined people who want to get good at boxing, not gawk, showboat, or try to get a photo for your social media.
There are several in-house trainers here who are retired pros, former Olympians, and all that jazz. Otherwise, work solo on the bags.
It's busiest in the AMs (you may need to share a bag), before 1 PM.
Proof of double vaccination required. Keep your mask on inside.
Check your ego at the door. Parking in the back half of the lot. Turn left before you see the Hampton Inn. It's the yellow, unassuming strip mall. - Billy S.Los Angeles, CA1318312/27/2021
Best gym ever, REAL BOXING GYM .. world famous Hall of Famer Freddie Roach and company are the best boxing trainers in the world, and best fighters in the world. Come to train hard, and even spar if your up to it. This is not a cucumber towel, look at yourself in the mirror kind of gym. Posers stay out ! "Locals Only" ..and we love all the dogs hanging out.

I haven't been back to this gym based solely on the fact that this gym is very sexist. I left a review on the conduct of this gym and it's trainers. Still no female trainers and the men of this gym laughed at my review. Best example of sexism in this gym. Do better guys, you suck for women.
12/14/2021Previous reviewThis gym just doesn't seem like a place for women. Not one of the coaches was an actual woman. This gym just seems like a sausage fest. Also I know that this gym is a dog friendly gym but isn't it unsanitary to have dogs in the gym? I even tried to say hello to some of the coaches and they were extremely rude and snobby. And the coaches seem to only focus on the men and not the women. From my understanding this gym is only for men. And I suggest you guys move sleeping dogs out of the gym. This is a gym not a hotel for dogs. And maybe train your coaches to not be sexist. Taking my business elsewhere thanks. Ladies watch out!

Down to earth, disciplined, and truly professional. I've always wanted to go to Wild Card and finally made it this week. It was an honor to meet the Jefe Freddie Roach, the most humble and professional trainer/boxing gym owner I've met.
Ladies - it can be intimidating walking into a gym full of male fighters that know what they're doing. And we've all experienced the gym bros that get too close. But there's absolutely none of that here. Freddie and the coaches keep everyone focused. They are friendly and and helpful but everyone is there for one thing, and that's the work. Just walk in, go through the steps and get to punching. The place is clean and full of top notch equipment and everyone gives you the space you need.
I'm looking forward to adding Wild Card to my training regimen and coming back again very soon. - Jose H.Westchester, Los Angeles, CA027/12/2022
It was a great environment to train as everyone there was really focused and it ended up being free for military. Would recommend to anyone into boxing.

This gym is amazing! You have everything you'll find in a traditional boxing gym- full ring, speed bags, heavy bags, and reaction bags. Although the gym is limited in size, there is designated space for shadow boxing and skipping. The day pass is at a reasonable price (less than $10), so I highly recommend anyone to stop by to get a nice training/workout session here! And of course, this is home to one of the greatest to do it- PacMan.
