I was greeted warmly upon entering.
I was hopping to rescue a western Jacket or vintage Western shirt from Clearance Rack. That didn't happen this trip. I did see several belt buckles that I liked but we're priced out of my budget. They have a great supply of boots but none in my size that I liked. An employee did check on me. But I was basically killing a little time while I was in the neighborhood. I have in the past got some good deals on boots, belts, bolas, vests and hats. They also did a great job on cleaning and shaping a hat for me at a reasonable cost. Looking forward to my next visit.

Well this summer is shaping up to be hot as balls and sunny. I'm a hat person and I spend a lot of time outdoors. I wanted to up my SPF game. The cowboy hat runs in my family and I figured now was the time to invest.

I had no idea where to start. I googled hats to get an idea of prices and selection. Then I yelped local stores and checked out websites.

Boy am I glad I found this place. Selection was great and the older gentleman took great care to pick out dozens of hats for me to try on. He was fantastic. The other lady working was also great.

Gotta say I will recommend this place to my friends and will return in the future. 10% discount for military and first responders.

If you want the BEST service and selection of authentic western wear, you must get to Wild Bill's Western in El Cajon! 38 years of success says it all! If you want boots, jeans, cowboy hats like Stetson or Resistol you will find it there! Great selection of belts too! We had so much fun trying on clothes for the little cowpokes too! This is a full service western clothing store! No wonder they have been selling quality products and services for 38 years in San Diego!

I love this store. It is always great to walk into a place where the owner is working the floor. Howard and his staff always go the extra mile to make sure you get exactly what you're looking for, and if by chance they don't have your size in stock, they'll special order it for you.
Do yourself a favor and stop in and say howdy, you'll be glad you did.

I couldn't agree more with the other positive reviews here. I swung by yesterday to look at my first real cowboy hat. I've had many cheap plastic or straw hats in the past, but thought it was time to try a real one.

A very nice woman measured my head, showed me a variety of styles, and answered all my questions about fit, wear, things to look for, etc. and patiently waited for me to try dozens of them on. The prices were great and I found the perfect one.

I was concerned about the fit and they were able to steam and fit it on-site. It took about 10 mins and it the fit was perfect. I couldn't be happier! Thanks Wild Bill's!

By far the best place to buy boots! I placed an order online and got a call from Hope saying there would be a back order, after talking more she ordered a different size and additional boots for me to try. I got a call that the shipment came in so I tired on both. I'm so glad I talked to Hope she ordered the right size for me. I ordered a full size bigger because my wide feet but those would have been way to loose.
Overall Hope was very friendly and knowledgeable. She helped me purchase my first boots and informed me that anytime I want to try some boots to call in and if they don't have it stocked they can order it for me to try. She even gave me a card that with every tenth purchase (or something like that) I get a discount on my next purchase.
So basically forget boot barn, go see Hope!

I've been going to Bill's on and off for a long time. One thing I can say is these people know what the hell they are talking about when it comes to anything that has to do with western clothing and accessories! They have some high quality clothing here, I still have shirts I purchased there 10 years ago and they still look like they are in great condition! I'll always recommend this place for western clothing. The only thing is, the prices are up there. But you get what you pay for.

Fantastic place for all your western needs! All of the staff is extremely friendly, great help and are open to conversation shall it arise! If they somehow don't have something you're looking for in their wide selection they can order it in no problem! They play a variety of eras of country music in the store and that's always nice to hear! I would reccomend this place to my friends in a heartbeat!

I Love this store, I have been shopping here for more than 20 years. same American family owns it. they have a great selection of western wear and home décor, if they don't have what you want, they will order it.
Very helpful staff, even the owner is there helping customers. :).
I prefer to shop at a small business instead of a large corporate store, keep it local and family !!!
