These guys are a treasure and culinary artists.
The art of the poke bowl is something I only understood by eating here-and boy did I eat here often when I lived in GR. I think the majority of places that let you choose your own toppings do you a disservice in a way because it takes skill to balance the different flavors. The guys here have set bowls of perfect balance and also variety of unique flavor/texture profiles that will keep you coming back for more. They used to have special dining nights where they would feature other foods and if they have any of those, try to go-you won't regret it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 3, 2021
Okay, what is NOT to love about Wikiwiki?! Not only do they have AMAZING poke (like, the best.) and awesome snacks and drinks (hello, rap chips!), BUT their social media is... genius! Do yourself and follow them on social media. It brightens my day! They are huge T-Swift fans with a rap aesthetic.
My first visit to Wiki was through a YELP Elite event, and I've been a fan ever since. Their dedication to fresh, sustainable, and quality food is apparent. The unique ingredients and combinations, the tastes, the visual appeal... all 100%.
Last time here I ordered a Freakier Friday with seaweed salad instead of rice (small upcharge but worth it!). It was SO good. Like, I can't even begin to tell you... I could eat it everyday! It's delicious!
They are taking all the right precautions with COVID and my pickup was smooth and very safe.
HIGHLY recommend!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - 122619335758Feb 21, 2020
Came here with for a great dinner with Katy C. and her boyfriend! I haven't had poke since I've been back from my honeymoon in Hawaii so my bar was very high and Wikiwiki was able to meet it!
The person working was super patient with me as I peppered him with ALL the questions.
I ended up going with the DEBOWL (ahi tuna, sambal-marinated shrimp, spicy scallops, avocado, seaweed salad, yuzu, jalapeno, cucumber, asparagus, wasabi aioli, sriracha, red and yellow tobiko with added Octopus). This bowl had an awesome amount of heat to it! But, it wasn't just heat for the sake of heat, there was good flavor too! I also appreciate the finesse in the cuts of fish. Everything was cut into small pieces.
Overall solid! I also love Wikiwiki's swag overall. Inspired by hip hop and so fun!
The only thing I was surprised by is the pricing! Maybe I'm too used to pricing in Hawaii or just not used to GR pricing yet.Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Jul 28, 2021
Came here with my friends for poke thinking it would take a lot to mess up poke, boi was I wrong! First and foremost, you can't order inside at the restaurant, you can only order online or by phone so beware. Also, they seriously don't like dogs, we didn't know and walked in with our doodle and the cashier/worker immediately looked at us angrily and told us that dogs aren't allow. So then we went outside of the shop, called and got hang up before we finally got our orders in. They really making us earn our food. Sad to say the service was not even the worst part. We got 3 poke bowls, 2 of which had so much mayo, you can clearly see the layer. The worst part came a few hours after we ate, I will just let you interpret that.
Anyways, I would not recommend this place, and would just advise you to go elsewhere. I have no idea how they have 4.5 stars here, but please beware.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mar 5, 2021
Finally I was able to check out Wiki Wiki Poke Shop. Signage for the restaurant was difficult to find. When we did, upon opening the door, we were greeted by a long table a couple of feet inside! The menu is on the wall is at an angle that makes reading it from the table side difficult. The server was informative and friendly. It is recommended to call your order ahead, but being new, he gladly took ours. I chose the Wiki Minaj which was loaded with fresh pieces of sashimi , vegetables, mango and tobiko. It was delightful. Our other choice was the O.G. another tasty bowl. Definitely a great menu full of choices, but it could be so much better if eating in were provided. Looking forwarded to opening up to approved capacity.

What to say about Wiki Wiki other than, you're my-my-my Lover! Try that Gucci or Wiki Manaj, dare to toss it up with a Freaky Friday and you'll find your friends and family telling you YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN because they're eating some random boring other food while you're experiencing fresh eats nirvana .... This fish is incredibly fresh, and if you love sushi this may well become your End Game, too. Style, clean and worthy of its reputation, Wiki Wiki is the place of my Wildest Dreams and I'm just ecstatic we get this lil gem in the GRap. Grab your cardigan, hop in that getaway car and go treat yourself to that delicate bowl of delight or some oysters on the half shell -- call it what you what, you'll also become a fan for evermore.
Also, their T-Swifty adoration is no hoax. It's the real deal. Just like their entire kitchen's offerings. I. Heart. This. Place.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Xu A.Grand Rapids, MI14117380Nov 23, 2020Updated review
I still love this place, but would like to leave a tip: Caution when ordering because many of their menu items are similarly named!
I wanted BOWLROCK
tuna, salmon, wasabi aioli, wasabi peas, wasabi tobiko, avocado, cucumber, wakame, asparagus, edamame, cucumber, furikake $15 (per their website: https://www.wikiwikipokeshop.com).
But I accidentally ordered BOWL'D UP
vegan kimchi, miso ranch, spicy mayo, avocado, rap snacks, mango, seaweed salad, asparagus, edamame, cucumber (Vegetarian) $13 (per their website: https://www.wikiwikipokeshop.com).
My bowl was still delicious but my stomach is still giving me grief for not satisfying its poke craving...give me all the raw fish! :) Thanks again through.
Also, due to COVID, they're not taking walk up orders, so don't forget to call ahead to put in your order: (616) 288-5646. We didn't know that, but it was a quick 8 minute wait for our bowl!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Dec 16, 2019Previous reviewYum! I've been following Wikiwiki on Facebook since they opened and haven't stopped in til now! Viewing their poke bowls everyday just added to the excitement of finally being able to try them out! I actually RSVP'ed for the Yelp event Katy held last year but had to cancel due to a emergency, so they've been on my mind for a long time now!
It must've been one of their posts about celebrating their 2 year anniversary that finally got me to Wealthy street. We got there around 2pm on a Friday and there were 2 people at the bar and 2 tables waiting on their lunch (wow, that's a lot of 2s). It's counter service with a really helpful cashier. I asked for something with a lot of salmon for my sister: Man-O-War was suggested. I got one of their anniversary specials that had the most ingredients because you know, go big or go somewhere else! I totally would've gotten a hot bowl of ramen on that cold day, but alas, they'd sold out! And for my baby, I was asked if he liked shrimp (yes), edamame (yes, sometimes), and mango (definitely!). And then the dude proceeded to concoct a baby 'poke' bowl! How nice!
I loved how bright and open their dining space was: lots of balloons for their anniversary, a Christmas tree decorated with fishy ornaments (love the jellyfish one), and a mostly black and white palette. There were about 6 tables, 3 bar seats next to their oyster selection and 6 bar seats by the front windows.
My poke bowl was packed to the brim - see picture. I loved the small cubes of fresh tuna and salmon - not slimy and not doused with sauce. Loved the soft wasabi - easy to mix in. The only downside was the wait for my meal (about 20 minutes). Compared to Poke Toki (the only other poke place I've been to in GR, this took a lot longer).
Overall, loved this place. Love Taylor Swift also, so I wasn't annoyed that she was being honored on her birthday by playing every song in her repertoire :) - Dec 8, 2018
I'm ashamed that I haven't written a review for Wikiwiki yet! I've only been here three times but considering that I live in NC, I think that's pretty impressive!
I absolutely LOVE Wikiwiki. I talk about it more than makes sense but it is just sooo delicious! We have a local Poke spot where I live and it's pretty tasty but it doesn't even touch the thoughtful combinations of flavor presented by Wikiwiki!
I tend to order the specials when I come here and am always happy that I did. It's obvious how much thought they put into these. Their fish and seafood always tastes super fresh, as do the vegetables and other ingredients. I can't get enough of this place.
Last time I visited, I brought my husband and my mom. My mom is definitely a meat and potatoes eater and she loved her dish she ordered! That felt like a win to me!
This place is seriously amazing and if I lived in GR, I would eat there at least once a week!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Sergio C.Grand Rapids, MI02430Feb 8, 2022Updated review
Called and made an order over the phone. Quick and painless. Got the OG. I recommend
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Feb 2, 2018Previous reviewI've gotta say, I haven't been this impressed with a new restaurant & new concept in a while.
These bowls were sooo good. I had -let's just say you go to a sushi place & ask for the most expensive roll on the menu and they serve you two of those in a bowl. The ménage à trois was so fresh and crisp, with all the flavors of about 4 sushi rolls combined in one bowl. They all come out at different times, like a good wine (so I hear). And, and, it combined the spiciness of peppers and wasabi .
The other bowls were almost as delicious, but even then, better than 80 % of the sushi I've had this year.
I give it - Dec 25, 2018
This is the best place to get poke in Grand Rapids. Being an indecisive person, I didn't have any issues with their pre-made options. I ordered the Gucci Sushi bowl - for those weak to spicy (me), this bowl did have heavy sriracha and jalapeño flavors. The prices seem steep, but you get a LOT of raw fish.
- The staff was super polite and friendly.
- The atmosphere is a little sparse - chairs and tables are a bit uncomfortable and wobbly.
- Has an additional entrance leading to their private parking lot out back.
- Great salad selection!!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
