After much anticipation after looking at Widow Fletchers web site we dined there with friends last night, what a disappointment.
Started out with over fried calamari, then over fried fish sandwich which we were told after tasting and asking waiter what fish was found out to be tilapia which had no flavor, fries were good and gumbo was spicy but delicious. My wife had a combo of shrimp, small clams and scallops over pasta for $28.00 but it had very little flavor and she also ordered a expresso martini which tasted like watered down coffee syrup with no alcohol. Waiter was nice, but surroundings where we were seated were more like a cafeteria, with cracked floors. Sorry for the bad review, but place needs allot of improvement.

We visited on a Saturday evening. It was busy, even in "winter", and parking was tough. It appears this place may be blast in the summer heat, but we experienced a crowd of primarily older folks. Service was good, not great, staff a bit overwhelmed. Food was actually a bit below average, as my wife liked nothing, and I tossed out the leftovers as unappetizing.

Did see the dopest Too $hort drop top in the parking lot though!

As we entered the place the host was not there and we waited almost 10 minutes to be seated. Once seated no servers were paying attention to us, mind you we were seated for over 25 minutes and the servers were getting other people's orders and when we realize they had got all the people that had walked in after us's orders before ours that's when we decided to tell them and their response was that we weren't put on the sheet list.
      VERY poor customer service.
On the other hand we ordered the bacon wrapped scallops and those were surprisingly good, also ordered the Grilled grouper + rice and broccoli that also was very good but doesn't make up for that terrible customer service.
I ordered one of their seasonal cocktails "Pumpkin pie martini" and according to the ingredients list it would have 2oz of pumpkin purée it did NOT have that in it. It was probably the worst false advertisement drink i have ever tasted. I will not be back

My dad loved coming here and he wasn't wrong.
I haven't ordered a single food item that I wasn't fond of from this place. The grouper is fantastic, the bacon wrapped scallops aren't the super tiny ones, heck, even the chicken wings (for the land lovers) was still a solid choice. I've had a few different dishes and have brought a few different people here and honestly, all good! I don't have a single complaint.
      Pricing isn't absurd.
The tables of the views by the water are always the first to go, but once you sit at one, you understand why.
Service is always pretty reliant. Great bar area as well!
      Plenty of parking.

We tried Widow Fletchers one night, on a whim. I guess it used to be something else, but it was ok.
Not great, very plain decor, not much decorating on the walls, very , kind of, almost cafeteria-ish .
The fish was good, not great. I think we'll have to give it a second chance, as I was underwhelmed on our first visit.
      Service was adequate.

Loved your steak Quesadilla Monday. When I was there Monday, 3/4 of the way through I had to stop. Our excellent wait staff provided a to go box so I could have the leftovers for breakfast this morning. OMG! They were just as good as Monday night. I wanted more. Unfortunately Husband could not enjoy any shrimp leftovers because he ate EVERYTHING Monday night. Thanks for excellent food and staff. We'll be back.

The Widow's has become one of our "go to" restaurants. Upstairs is enclosed with a view of the marina and a private room for parties; downstairs is open air on the water and is shaded with a nice sea breeze so it's comfortable even in the summer. There is a full bar upstairs and down with live music on the weekends.

My standby meals are the Shrimp and Crab Gumbo or the Tilapia Marianas. Mother prefers the Chinese Chicken Salad or Chicken Quesadilla. That said, I have never had a bad meal.

The only thing that prevented the 5th star is that service downstairs, where we prefer to dine, tends to be slow, and because I was once told over the phone that I couldn't place a take-out order because the kitchen was too busy. I drove over and placed the take-out order in person and received it before I finished my drink.

      Updated review

Came back to this restaurant since I love taking advantage of the Florida scenery and looking having great seafood.

The server was great. She was pleasant and Knew the menu well with the fact that we were with someone that is sensitive to gluten. The drinks were also great.
      Service was prompt and quick.

Although the mask requirement has been lifted in this restaurant there are still many guest and still some staff that are wearing them.

There was however one downfall that made my experience particularly unenjoyable at the end. One patron came in with a service dog and on this day it was particularly hot. The server went to bring the dog a bowl of water since this customer was sitting outside with the rest of his party. The manager must of not liked this gesture as he pulled the server aside and snapped at her for doing this compassionate gesture. This was done in front of the guest inside the restaurant.
I felt so bad for this server and at this point wanted to get up and leave.

What a great location and great environment, however, the food and service could use some work. I'd love to be able to frequent this place by boat with friends if they get those thing's straightened out.
