After shopping here for 5 years+ I finally had an adequate experience. I keep going between 3 or 4 but since I'm a more positive then negative I will go with 4 stars, lol.
On my visit I purchased a nice a thick slab of salmon. I was making one my favorite salmon recipes, stuffed salmon with fresh spinach, feta & dill. Deliciousness!
Whole Food's still loses a star for unfriendly employees, who must truly hate their jobs.
Oh, also...with my past negative experiences I email as suggested, No Response or Zero Follow-Up!!!!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

May 8, 2022Previous reviewWas having company over for Mother's Day weekend, decided we were going to have an appetizer of Ahi Tuna, one of our faves. Stopped by the WF on Renner Road a little after 3:00. Since the refrigerator section that usually holds the frozen fish was empty...I'm guessing it needs repairing. So I stood in-line to ask the Fish Monger about possibly having some in the back freezer.
The person in front of me is making a rather large purchase, No worries I'm patiently waiting my turn. This other elderly woman comes up to the fish case, steps in front of me, I'm thinking to get a better view, lol. Nope, she's more privileged than me, Not!!!
After finishing with the first customer, the employee asks her what she wants. I politely say, excuse me I was next. Since I had been waiting 10 minutes before the rude woman appeared and had made eye contact with the fish monger...he knew I was next.
Well, I ask about the freezer case & if the frozen tuna was available? It is says the employee.
It's typical of any WF employee I've ever dealt with... he tells me he'll go get the frozen tuna for me but let him wait on this woman first.
OMGosh, I guess my business is NOT as important??!!!
Oh well, it's not going to ruin my day. I proceed to the checkout stand, & cheerfully say to the cashier, hello there how are you? Without missing a beat she turns her head to the left and starts talking to the employee who is bagging groceries and says God I can't wait till my shift is over.
No, friendly response, no acknowledgment. I don't know why I'm bewildered...because it's always my experience with all employees at this location! Rudeness!!!!!!
We had a fabulous dinner last night, yummy food (except for the tuna!) & some tasty wine.
We all agreed the fish tasted fishy, not very fresh.
I shared my experience of WF with my dinner guests. We all believe the fish was bad...maybe due to the broken freezer????
I'll be returning the remaining fish for a refund.
I knew I should have made the drive to Central Market!!!!!!Mar 18, 2019Previous reviewNo one greets me or has a smile on their face. Do the employees hate working here? I stopped by the beverage station, at the front of the store, to ask where the water station was to fill containers for an elderly neighbor. The slender girl could have cared less. Didn't even give me eye contact or a smile. Down this aisle she said...
I've gotten better attitude from employees at Walmart!Aug 14, 2018Previous reviewLet me say No One was More Excited about Whole Food's Market being built close to my Home than me! I defended each and every negative comment made about this company. Be open minded I said...!
This review is a Long Time Coming!!! I have given them numerous visits & many of my food $$$!
They snubbed our Neighborhood from the very beginning by Not having us on their mailing list for Opening Promotions! I called and shopped in person to speak with the upper management...the person in charge was Kim Neu. She wouldn't come down and talk to me, after making me wait for over 30 minutes, nor return my phone calls. After shopping at their Mockingbird location for years, I'm done with this location. The produce is wilted & old and meat less than fresh. I'll drive the extra miles to Central Market to get treated like an appreciated customer! Central Market is where the True Foodie Shops!

My review is for the experience of an Amazon return that required the assistance of an employee at that counter. I usually do my Amazon returns at a nearby UPS store, but this time I mistakenly didn't change the return location away from Whole Foods, so here I am!
I had two items in my return that I had in the box but it wasn't taped up. The employee was very polite and took each item out and scanned the code on my phone and then applied a sticker to each item.
It was very easy and fast and we were on our way. About an hour later I received a text message letting me know that the refund had been issued.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I'm highlighting a feature likely less known in some Whole Food stores. That is a bar, yes, you heard me correctly. The Richardson, TX store has a 16 tap bar with a variety of beers that cycle through with different options throughout the year. In addition, they have wine by the glass. The best part is if they don't have something that wets your whistle, you can pick out a beverage from the store shelves, bring it to the bartender, and they will open and serve it to you. The bartenders are all personable and do a great job of hearing what you like and suggesting options from what they have available. The area has seating to enjoy their in store ready to go food options. They host different events - trivia nights, live music, and tap takeovers. In the nicer months there are even groups who gather there run a few miles and come back to wind down and socialize. This hidden gem has been the highlight of moving to the area and having a place easy to get to and hang out...oh and the ability to grab any needed groceries on your way out isn't a bad thing either!

Smaller than some of the locations I've been to so the selection wasn't as great as the larger stores but still pretty good. The salad bar was probably excellent before the lunch rush but it looked empty when I got there and didn't look like anyone was about to replenish it. At the end of the day, it's a Whole Foods and a gift for someone who is picky and needs vegan options that are healthy. It's my go to when I need to stock my hotel room on travel weeks.

Since we are on a fresh oyster quest Whole Foods on the list. And amazing they just came in and on sale !!! Oyster stuffing back on Thanksgiving menu. I love this store not just because you can enjoy one of many local brews or wine while shopping everyone so friendly. Store set up neat and always clean. You pay a higher price for this great store but food fresh and if prime member lots of perks.

I actually came to this location to return an Amazon purchase. The lady receiving my order never looked at me. She went from her laptop screen to me, handing her the item. I decided to ask her how she was doing, and if she was having a good day, she never looked at me and just gave me a very dry response that she was fine. it was very awkward and she was very neutral and not friendly. Then my daughter and I decided to get food from the food bar. We went to check out through Xpress check out. That person was also not very friendly and did not crack a smile. Fortunately, at the bar I tried a very good Locust peach cider, and the bartender was very nice and very personable . Then we went back to the ExpressCheck out to buy a cookie and the woman was so rude. Renee was her name. She even threw our receipt into her bag and didn't crack a smile. I will not return to this Whole Foods. I cannot believe how the staff behave here!!! I am shocked how rude the checkout staff are! Unbelievable!
Thank you bartender! You deserve 5 stars!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2Business owner information

I recently visited Whole Foods and was shocked by the cashier's condescending and suspicious attitude towards me when I tried to pay with two hundred-dollar bills. The cashier, who was Asian, scrutinized the bills as if they were fake and even asked if I had smaller denominations, making me feel unwelcome and disrespected. As a Hispanic woman, I have always felt valued at Whole Foods, but this incident has left me deeply upset. It's disheartening to experience such blatant discrimination in a supposedly inclusive establishment like Whole Foods. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure all customers are treated with respect, regardless of their ethnicity.

soooooo...i don't really shop at whole foods, but i love the bar :P
i'm not even joking, it's lowkey my favorite bar. Jess the bartender is fantastic and i love her!! no cocktails or hard liquor - beer and wine only, but it's great for a chill time without getting trashed. they have rotating beers, ciders, and sometimes even kombucha on tap as well as some wine. however, you can also buy any of the alcohol and food sold in store and eat and drink it at the bar. they do have a menu of selected wine by the glass - but pro tip, you can buy it by the bottle and 1. it's cheaper (grocery sale price), 2. they'll keep the bottle in the fridge until you need a refill and 3. if you don't finish, they'll seal it for you and you can take it home!
they also have specials and events that go on during the week. thursdays are tap takeovers where a local brewery comes in and has multiple beers on tap and they'll usually bring free merch and will stay so that you can chat and have a beer with them. on the first and third wednesdays of the month they have a 5k social run that starts at the bar and goes through the nearby trails and ends back at the bar for social hour.
there's also free wifi and a 2nd floor cafe eating area. sometimes to get out of the house, i like to work from there and you can see the entire supermarket, and parking lot from up there. let me tell you...the people watching is great. lol
so stop by the bar if you haven't before, you won't regret it. you might see me there hah!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information
