About the Business
Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, "What a burger!" He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, "Whataburger." Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Straight garbage now. I haven't been in a while but when we decided to do a late night run this is what we received. The fries was cold, the so called chili cheese fries looks like it had dookie on them and no cheese. It looked and and disgusting. The patty melt was made from regular bread and this burger supposed to have texas toast. I will NEVER go back here again. Straight BS and poor management. If you going to do a job do it right especially dealing with people food. I hate to say it but McKinney food service went straight down the drain with these sorry workers and management! Smh

I don't write reviews often but I just gotta let y'all know. Everything was absolutely horrible. From the soggy fries that were only half full, to the blt having hardly any bacon, I didn't even taste it all I tasted was soggy bread and mayo. To them giving one of my sons fruit snacks with his meal instead of two cookies like we ordered so they wouldn't fight over it. I do not recommend.

6:00 am 05/26/23. I ordered a #1 combo. The guy rung me up, then came back and told me there were out of the regular buns and he would give me a What-a-Burger Junior combo. What didn't he tell me that before he rung me up. He could of charged me for a Jr combo instead.

If you physically want to watch yourself age at a drive thru- come here. This was the absolute slowest "fast" food I think I've ever received. I got in line at 10:30, and didn't pull away until 11:05. I'm sure earlier in the day the waits are better but dear god. Will not be coming back.

Excellent food. Everything was made quick and fresh and most important to me correct, since I don't like pickles and love jalapeños. Exceptional service these past few months by employee Ruben and Manager Catherine are doing great. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean during my visit.

Breakfast is great and quick like the good ole days before ownership changed. Staff is nice and it feels like they are trying to turn things around. Other locations still suck

There was no wait at all since we didn't come during lunch rush or anything. It was like 3pm. It was my first time trying Whataburger in Texas.
We got the jalapeno and cheese burger, bacon and cheese burger, fries, and onion rings.
The burgers were nice and big, though that is to be expected if a single burger costs $7-8. I just wish there were at least some veggies in the bacon and cheese burger. It was really heavy with the fries.
The fries and onion rings were alright. Nothing to rave about.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Benjamin W.Guthrie, TX141302263Sep 6, 2021
Everyone that reviewed a whataburger sober would give it 3 stars. This is not for you. Stop reviewing this burger place! Haha

I am giving this a one star because I have lost my tolerance for the wait line at the drive thru. This is true of most Whataburgers too. It takes way too long to get your food. I love the product but after today I will do my best to not go unless the craving is stronger. I was asked to pull forward this am (I had two taquitos, a sausage, egg and cheese on a Jalapeño biscuit and five hash browns and a large Diet Coke. I sat out there for 15 minutes. Finally got out of the car walked into the restaurant (literally the kitchen because no one would recognize me an finally in a very loud voice I said "Where is my food?" Finally someone took care of me but enough is enough. Take a lesson from Chick-fil-a, they seem to know how to get it done. Then I was told by the folks we are staying with that this particular one is worse than the others. Figure it out...please!
