Their youth membership is extremely confusing in terms of whether and how many family members can enter the facility with the child. This policy is nowhere to be found online and it appears that different employees have different opinions on this. So when my wife and I wanted to watch my kid's session, some front desk employee just made up policies to not let me in. Good job YMCA.

New location of the West Chester Area YMCA...

this one has a great pool (two indoor pool areas and a deep diving pool). they do swiming comp. there too...

basket ball gym with indoor track too..

weight room and cardio rooms are large and roomy... 5pm - 6pm it's packed...

the spinning classes are very good, and peak times are packed...

all in all a great gym at a resonable price.

Tried signing up for two teenagers was told one qualified for free membership due to grade, went home to complete the paperwork, came back and was told that was not the case. Get your stories straight. If you don't know the answer, please do everyone a favor and confirm before quoting.

I like all that the YMCA offers to families. It's very family oriented and you provide childcare and great activities for children. The gym equipment is also new/updated and much cleaner than any other gym I've been a member of locally. The employees also keep an eye on members, which is also unlike any other gym. There is also a full sized pool, which is nice for lap swimming.

This might be worth the money if you have very young kids and don't work during the week. The pool hours are very limited. The summer waterpark is only open til 7PM all summer. Just not worth the money. Try the ACAC

It's sad that one employee can ruin a whole company! We love the classes and facilities, but I have had the worst time with their administrators. I believed the Y was in the business of helping, not offending and belittling customers.
Jim's cycle class is the best! He almost makes up for the lack of customer service on the business side.

This is a great YMCA. It offers a variety of classes, has a pool and is clean.

I wish it offered more classes at later times and stayed open later on the weekend because that's when I have the energy and time to work out.

Also the class schedules seem to be geared toward stay at home moms and senior citizens. For example, they always have classes at 5:15 AM but few past 7PM.

Also, sometimes they will close half the pool for people to practice kayaking or to put up a weird floaty bouncy castle.

I love our Y. They have a huge variety of Group Ex classes - which is what I need to stay motivated to work out. The instructors are amazing and knowledgeable. I also appreciate the opportunity to give back to our community through events organized by the Y

Beautiful facility with great classes and staff. Clean, spacious, don't feel like you are in a basement like other ymca locations.

Over priced and not accommodating at all. Charge $100 for two people just to use their gym. Planet Fitness is only $10 and has much more equipment. Only reason I go to the Y is because it is right near my house.
Also, everyone that works there can't make a decision. I have two kids under 3 years old and wanted to try the pool for a day before I paid $400 to join. After being on hold for 15 minutes as she asked multiple people for the answer, I was told that it was against policy and I would have to pay $400 to see what it was like. They wouldn't even let me come in for an hour to test out to make sure my kids like it.
On top of that, there is never any parking.
