Normally, I'd rate Wasabi 4 stars but I have to up this to 5 due to the large amount of vegan offerings..kudos to Wasabi, which is now my favorite fast/convenience chain in London.
The vegan tofu dish is phenomenal. This dish reminded me of some of the vegan curries I had IN Japan. It has a good level of spice (though I can always have more spice!) and the flavor was very good, savory, and well-balanced. Even the rice was cooked perfectly and was topped with a little bit of kale. I'm shocked at the value received at this quick takeaway place.
This location is also next to whole foods, so you can always pick up some vegan treats after eating at Wasabi.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - F C.San Francisco, CA01Mar 5, 2022
the chicken curry with rice. was not nice at all. reminded me of curry powdered used in fish and chip shop as a sauce, mixed with some leftover vegetables.
The rice was half cooked.
didn't eat it. waste of time and money. never again,Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 35411811555May 17, 2018
Grabbed one of their Bento sushi boxes here and it was great. It was a nice mix of a few rolls and salmon rolls as well. I love how the restaurant is set up as a grab and go, but there is also an area to eat as well. They have a great selection of sushi and bowls as well. The customer service is great and they are happy to answer any questions you have as well. I will definitely be back when I am in the UK.

Had the Chicken Katsu Curry with breaded moist white meat, steamed white rice, & vegetable gravy. Everything was fresh & tasty. There was a little heat in the gravy, perhap a 4 on a scale of 10.
The price was £6.40 & deemed to be a great value given the quality of the ingredients & the size of the portions. The place is clean, & the staff is quite attentive & efficient.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sandy Y.Los Angeles, CA5625017667Mar 4, 2016
If this place wasn't by my hotel room in London, it probably wouldn't have been on my radar as a pit stop to get food at. Surprisingly, I ended up back here 2 times during my trip there. This place is basically a gold mine for people rushing to and from during the bustling busy days of a busy London lifestyle. Mainly servicing Japanese fast food to go in the forms of rolls, sushi, onigiri, bottled teas, and FRESHLY MADE warm foods such as Japanese noodles, spicy Katsu Chicken, varieties of Curries, etc. all in pre-heated bowls for you to either eat there or take to go.
While on the quest to find some quick decent food, this place was packed with people lining up either eating at the restaurant or grabbing food to go. Imagine how a modern Japanese restaurant looks like with the tables lined up against clear long window panels surrounding the restaurant with high chairs for people with busy schedules to eat and go.
The food is not bad... if you have no other options. If you are in a rush and cannot afford the time to sit at a nice restaurant for tea or an actual meal where you're served on nice plates and servers wait on you... this is the next best thing.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ray C.London, United Kingdom312535201Apr 19, 2016
Wasabi on Kensington high street is very conveniently located next to the station.
It offers an eat in area, where you can sit and watch the high street whisk past - although you'll have to pay for this privilege.
I've been to a number of Wasabi's and this one is very similar to the next, the décor is the same in each, white and a tad clinical.
The menu at each Wasabi is about the same... Prices seem standard across the board...
As one of the lesser evils of fast food on the high street. It's not particularly good quality sushi and it's not partially cheap, but it is one of the healthier options if you're in a rush.
Sushi is really an art, and whilst the quality of fish is good here, they tend to bulk this up with rice. Most pieces hold together, but are quite haphazard.
I tend to opt for a meal option and then add some from their self-selection.
I also like the little seaweed triangles and the noodles are just on the side of acceptable if you fancy something hot.
I can't comment on service, you don't really need or have the chance to interact with staff. Although the good thing about this is that the queues are usually short!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Emily L.Indianapolis, IN1401532May 26, 2018
I was shocked at how good this place was. where I live in America we don't have anything like this. The fish was actually so fresh and tasted pretty good. I wouldn't call this amazing sushi by any means but for something I can just pick up after a long day it really did the trick. Would definitely go back.

Had a quick bite here after getting off the tube. There was a nice selection of bento boxes and sushi. The service was pretty good. My daughters liked the ability to select single pieces of sushi. I had a spicy chili chicken bento box. It was ok. Not the best I've ever had and not the worst. They make you pay for the traditional toppings wasabi, soy, and ginger.
