Walmart Supercenter

The place looks more like a cluttered Dollar General. Inventory in the aisles instead of on the shelves.

Poorly staffed. And most staff there is too busy talking on their phones via ear buds than helping customers. And if you do get their attention, they're typically rude.

Ordering online is just frustrating. It takes them so long to bring your order out. And several times I've had to return to the store due to missing items I was charged for.

Their neighborhood market across town is 10 times better.

I don't recommend the Starkville Walmart. I avoid it now.

The only reason I'm still coming is because it's close to campus. They have 0-3 lanes open at a time no matter how busy it is other than self checkout. After I check out they expect me to show them a receipt although they just took a video of my checking out. Absolutely dumb. If you can't trust us to check ourselves out, open the lanes up.

I mean, it isn't any better than any other Walmart you will go into. Lots of MS State gear at a good price. Sometimes they are very slow to stock up the shelves so they can be pretty empty.

I have been to the Wal-Mart big box stores all across the county and my usual comment is...."Wal-Mart is the same no matter where you are." And while that is true on the surface...they have the same signage, uniforms and basic goods...I have determined that the town and management gives each Wal-Mart it's own personality.

This was my out and about place in my trip to Starkville, I didn't have a lot of time but I did need some necessities at different times and this was my go to place. I tried to buy clothes, and that never worked out LOL! I had several returns and the service desk was awesome you guys get 4 stars ****

Clothing department, friendly staff willing to help! What! At a Wal-Mart?!?! I had the sweetest lady help me on several occasions try to find the right size and color. I wish I had gotten her name...she is a gem.

Downside.. much of the juice/drinks are in half-gallon or bigger sizes (or big packets) so you can't get just one... (unlike bags of chips which come in all sizes).

Also a downside - if you're looking for organic yogurt for the kids, or organic milk, it can go fast (and not many brands), was out of stock for everything other than the Wal-Mart store brand the last time we went.

Also, things tend to be scattered about and duplicated; office supplies and school supplies in two areas, and not all materials overlapping. Then kid's lotion - in both the pharmacy area and the kid's area, two different sizes and prices (different each area). Go figure.

They do not acknowledge you at the cake place they look in your face and walk off. They need a lesson in customer service!!! Very dissatisfied customer!!!

I called Starkville Walmart Supercenter main number to speak to someone in the jewelry dept. No one answered on any extension I tried. I looked on the website and tried the numbers listed there, no answer. I tried the automotive dept., someone answered, but didn't know the jewelry dept. extension. Pharmacy didn't answer, electronics didn't answer, noone answered. I was only trying to see if my son's class ring had come in. I have a nickname for this store.... Evil Place. Name fits.

This is an automotive review:

I initially had a new set of tires put on by WalMart's Starkville, MS automotive center in July of 2015. Today, in August of 2016, I went back to have another new set put on. I got a call when they were done saying that only three were put on because they couldn't get a lug off of my passenger side front tire. They also told me that in order to get it off they would have to break it and I would have to have it replaced. The problem with that is that THEY PUT IT ON! Why do I have to take it somewhere else to get it off?! I ended up taking my car to two other places to see if something could be done. Of course nothing could be done. I am now riding around with three brand new tires and one old one, because WalMart couldn't get off the lug that they put on one year ago. My advice is to shell out the extra money and go somewhere (like an ACTUAL mechanic) because WalMart thoroughly screwed me over.

Typical, but slightly below average Wal-Mart. Since a change in ownership/management/staff selection, it has, however, improved. If you go in the evening, many products are not available on shelves and you have to visit another supermarket to get everything you need.

Shitty store. Stood by the hunting section for an hour waiting for assistance. I asked three workers who all said they will get someone to come help but they never came back. They need new fucking workers who actually will do their job.
