I went to Walmart on a busy Saturday afternoon with a clear shopping list in mind. I was glad to see that they had almost everything I needed in stock, making my trip efficient.
However, the store was crowded, especially with families and children around, so I had to be careful navigating with my cart.
At checkout, the lines moved quickly, but there was a slight delay at the exit where only one person was checking receipts.
I managed to find all my basic necessities and left the store feeling satisfied with my experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chefs Daughter D.Silicon Valley, CA1275561949Feb 21, 2024Updated review
zero star (below not good)
Milpitas Supercenter? More like Milpitas UN-Supercebter :)
Now I see why it is overall rated 1.8 as of this writing.
Last time in 2017, I reviewed I gave it two *
With my recent experience it's definitely a zero *
I placed an order for pick up and arrived a few minutes before my pick up time because I received a notice it was ready. Drove into the designated stall and called the number and called the number posted on the board and called the number and called the number. In other words, I spent 15 minutes calling the number, allowing it to ring and ring and ring and ring only to hear no one is available to answer or the mailbox is full. Honestly, I can't recall the recording. Therefore, I called the main phone number and hit four number four to reach the pick up and delivery line, that line just rang and rang and rang. So once again, I hung up and called the main line and hit zero and no one answered that line either.
Finally, I had to get out (in the rain) and run down a pick up employee and let them know that no one is answering the phone. with the frustrating look on his face, he asked for the order number and I gave it to him to punch in his handheld device and then he took a couple steps away, and I said what's the status. He then turns his head and says, "it's in line". I was perplexed and somewhat disgusted of the down right non-customer service, especially how I mention no one is answering their phones.
I don't usually order from the store however, they had a product that was unavailable at another Walmart. And although everyone is working hard, there is no excuse for people, not answering the phone on the pick up and delivery line, the main line, which I was trying to be connected to the delivery and pick up line (4) as well as the main operator (0)
I hope somehow management reads this and sees that the first encounter is phone communication, and in this case it was no phone communication at all. Such a small simple task would've made a big difference in my overall experience with the Walmart in Milpitas.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Nov 7, 2017Previous reviewNO LONGER 24 hrs * sniffle *
Ugggg just found out via a phone call p,us I went last night too that, effective yesterday, this Walmart Supercenter is NO longer 24 hrs. They now close at midnight. I loved coming here for super late night runs as it was your all purpose store from clothing, toys, drugstore items, fresh fruits, groceries, garden center, auto center, home items, footwear, tv/electronics..... etc. I'd think since the holidays are approaching, they would remain 24 hrs. But I guess all great things come to a sad abrupt end :( - Dec 8, 2023
I have seen many of the bad reviews, we must respect them. But this is a Walmart Super Store by Jimmeny! This place is huge! They have the breads, fruits, veggies, meats, poultry & seafood. Plus everything else in the world.
Not going to get into why things are locked up, you already know why they are. This review is not about morality. The store shelves are stocked full of things we all need, priced lower the the other stores. That's a win win plus you can pick up a turkey and all the fixings just in time for the holidays.
If you are tried of driving to 3 different stores, drive here. Merry Christmas!Helpful 6Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Kyo C.South San Francisco, CA025Apr 16, 2024
If you know what to buy, how to check the prices of the merchandise on your smartphone, how to use the Walmart Pay, not in a hurry, and have extremely good EQ, you will have a wonderful shopping experience. If you need something that is locked up and age-checking required, you may need some luck.

Got all 4 tires changed. The guy behind the desk was great and very nice. I gave two stars because all my tires were at a different PSI when I got in. I know it's a simple fix but I drove a long way to have them done here due to the price and I shouldn't have to add or release air out of my tires. I feel like it's a part of the job to have all the tires be at the same correct PSI.

I am used to not getting any help from any employees but was able to find the 3 obscure things I was looking for with some help from the employees. This is a giant Walmart as the name indicates. Parking was a challenge on a Friday afternoon.

I have always been a loyal Walmart customer This last trip was a nightmare checking out. I noticed the self-check was turning away people with 15 or fewer items. They had an employee standing and turning away customers at the self-checkout if they were not a smart shopper or Walmart+ customer. The lines at the check-out stands were 4 to 5 deep and customers with a couple of items were waiting 20 minutes + to check out. So Sad, who the hell came up with this policy? Ridiculous! Please give Jessica (front/end manager ) the worst employee of the year due t her inability to solve a simple problem. She is so incompetent to even call or make sure to get her workers to help someone at the locked medicine cabinets. She offered the customer to wait longer than 20' without any solution. Or go to the other Walmart because she doesn't have the key and didn't seem like she is unable to tell someone to get a key for her.
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 2, 2021Previous reviewI come to shop here numerous time for the last 10plus years. Recently, I had to purchase some fabrics. I must say it's very frustrated to see this employee, Bella when it comes to measurement. She doesn't give an extra cm, or mm let alone an inch extra when she cuts the fabrics. It's very difficult for me because when I go home and realized the patterns are crooked and the lady was trying to save a few mm. The problem arrives when I go home and have to cut some extra length because the print is crooked. I told her that no-one ever done that before and she has to understand about leaving extra space for the clients and she just refuses to listen. She is a nice person but she does what she does. Very disappointed!

This place continues to go down hill. The power is always going out and this Wal Mart ends up wasting tons and tons of food like it's nothing. You would think that being the only Walmart in the area and serving a huge community in a well populated shopping center the company would invest in better back up generators.
Another issue is everything is now behind locked cases due to being overridden but what makes it worse is that none of the staff is willing to help and or readily available. Lines afe black friday and getting someone with a key to unlock enclosed cases is slime to none... you have wait an hour at least before you get help. Staff is rude, location is understocked and now this locations is riddled with transients and encampments..
This location is not safe and is best to go in the morning or with a group of folks.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Nov 25, 2023Updated review
It's gotten worst. For one, most of everything is locked up and need to call the employee. That's if you're lucky to get someone as I experienced an hour ago. Even a $10 iPad case has to be locked up. Ridiculous. Since the review was in the electronics department, the complaint is with the department. They need to hire more folks. Just one is not good enough, especially now during the holidays...Also if you wish to purchase men's and female underwear. What? Why? Doesn't make any sense. Why would anyone grab it out of the store? When there's someone always at the exit checking your receipt.
It's why I choose to drive to Target which the nearest one is about 3 miles away.
Will only buy from the eye department as there is no waiting.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 19, 2012Previous reviewThis Walmart is located closest to my house. That is the only good thing about it. As many others have already said in their respective reviews, it is by far most crowded on the weekends. What none of them said is that this store only has one price scanner. Usually, that is. But, not today. None were functioning. As a matter of fact, I couldn't find one and one that works.
No wonder I rarely buy things from this location.
