Terrible customer service at the pharmacy. Took forever to even get seen at the counter. It should not be this hard to get a vaccine shot!!

My 87 year old mother made an appointment at this dismal Walgreen's and she waited TWO HOURS to get a flu shot! They should be ashamed of themselves for watching an elderly woman sit that long. It's just unconscionable. If I could give it no stars I would.

Staff is perfectly nice, but pharmacy is super understaffed--if you are coming here for a flu shot or Covid vaccine, be prepared to wait an hour.

Literally got charged 200$ because a package of mine was forwarded to this store. When I went to pick up my package they could not locate it however they had the label. I requested my door tag paper back from them since I didn't receive my package and then they told me they lost that too even though I brought it with me. I stepped outside briefly and mysteriously when I came back they had magically located my paper but still not my package from apple. I left my phone number because I was told a manager would be following up with me. That never happened. When I called back a very annoyed sounding assistant manager, I believe mark? (The one I was told would call) Said he was aware of the situation although no one had ever called me. I asked for a note when I left the store with no package simply stating that I didn't receive it and received a ton of argumentative unnecessary pushback. Eventually the security guard had to say "come on guys. She just is asking so she has something in case anything happens..." and something did happen. When speaking with the asst manager today He said "what do you want me to do sir" after telling him several times I'm not a man lol. Amazing.
Filed a complaint with FedEx and a police report for my stolen package in an effort to get my money back from Apple, since the store takes zero responsibility.
This store is really sketchy and the workers are dishonest and impolite. Avoid at all costsHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Luciana T.Oakland, CA0372May 11, 2022
Avoid pharmacy at all costs.
My dose of 1 pill twice a day was increased to 1.5 pill twice a day by my doctor. But Pharmacy reduced the dose to 1 pill, once a day and I paid, accepted the bottle without removing the bottle from stapled bag to read the incorrect dosage. Once home, I saw the reduction and called my doctor who said, no that's incorrect. It's supposed to be 1.5 pill, twice a day.
When I returned to pharmacy for the correct dosage, the pharmacist had an attitude that I was back too soon. I told her the last bottle didn't last long because it was reduced with an incorrect dosage and showed her the bottle. No apology, just said something about canceling that account. Ok, cancel my account because my business is going somewhere else.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan W.Santa Cruz, CA032Apr 9, 2022
"Pharmacy Techs needed!" No kidding! You think?
ONE wonderful young woman who knows people by name, and talks to them appreciatively while helping out professionally, and negotiating colleagues. If my review were for you alone, you would get 100% of all the starts. Thank you! You know who you are, and we love you and your work.
Manager is pleasant and professional, thank you! You each are the stars I can give. But manager, is there nothing more you can do to help train staff?
Kevin, please! You gave us the opposite info 3 times each today. All wrong. We checked on website. You referred to wrong meds, after we talked, spelled them, came in person, and now we get to make extra trips - but not to Walgreens again!!!! Negative 3 starts. You told us the meds were 300.00 but no. They are 5.00, they were last month, and they will be next month. You claimed you :talked to the doctor" Sat night when actually, my husband and I did, last week - um, not Saturday night, no. Please! Help! Improve or get another job. If you have a disability or need for more training get yourself over to the Laney Welcome Center a mile away or the nearest adult school to improve or train for something you can and want to handle. When you make mistakes, apologize. Say thank you. Don't hang up.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 5711661923May 16, 2021
It's a Walgreens, so I was looking for my go to snack of Funyuns (small bag) and didn't buy it because the line was long and there weren't enough sales people. I went next door to lucky's and bought a suitable snack. But, it's dark and dank and not very welcoming when going so I didn't get past the front door.

This Walgreens pharmacy and photo center in particular just cant seem to get things together. Whether it's misinformation between employees or consistent errors in printing photos. It's usually always something. The pharmacy staff is the headache though, mostly. They never seem to be on one accord. One person will say something different all the time. How are all the pharmacy team members not aware of all the same policies and procedures? And they lack major awareness of customer service skills. Wendy Nguyen is a piece of work. Instead of speaking to customers with grace and a service oriented attitude, she either gets someone else to do what she should be doing or she tries to evade the customer or send them away with misinformation. The manager is usually pretty understanding and works to find resolves.

Avoid or risk Delta variant infection. I was shocked to walk into this store today and see several customers without any face coverings whatsoever. I understand that they are not currently mandated (yet) but they can certainly set their own policy like many responsible retailers have. Walgreens positions itself as caring for the health of the community, but with all we now know about the transmissibility of the Delta variant, this HEALTHCARE retailer is needlessly and sinfully putting both customers and employees at risk.

Profiled while shopping after I just got out of work. The security guard let me know the manager wanted me to leave, but said he had no specific reason. I had to show him I was buying a finger splint and candy. Then he waited in line with me. I'm wearing steel toe boots, my company backpack and company hat. I'm wearing a hard hat with my name on it. I have a mask, but obviously the manager had assumptions on me enough to ask security to watch me. I've been going here since I was a child and now that I'm working, I do not appreciate being targeted. I'm not stealing. I'm not running out of your store with steal toe boots on. It's shameful that the management prioritizes a few dollars worth of candy rather then treating customers with respect. Not even, "hey, can you remove your mask/hood?" I know a lot of employees make mistakes here, and a lot of them have been friendly and nice. But the manager needs to rethink his unconscious biases or be smarter about how he handles theft. Because I do not appreciate being followed, watched, and stereotyped.
