I came here to get some studying done as this is the closest library to my house. It was just reopened after being closed for a couple of months to remodel. The remodel is nice, but it is still tiny on the inside. There are no private study rooms, just a big open space with not that many books.
Since I was doing studying and I brought my own laptop I was just going to use their WiFi. Too bad it doesn't work. The first day I was there the librarian said it was just my laptop that couldn't connect, but I couldn't get my phone to connect either. I went the next day, and this time they admitted they were having WiFi issues, but they set up a temporary router. Too bad that didn't work either.
Long story short, I had to drive to a different library to get my work done.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Betty B.Raleigh, NC02Jan 23, 2024
I absolutely love this library. The staff is so very friendly and ready to assist you. Even when calling them, they are always very helpful. You can ask many questions and they have the up most patience.

This library has a good selection of books, a Spanish section with bilingual books and people/child friendly activities.

Work as security officer @ all wake County libraries system must say staff was very judgemental of security staff...and more Concerned with. Protecting the people who we're trouble makers I trespass many...FROM all libraries I was assigned too protected... and serve staff would try tell me how do my job maybe they should put uniform own and walk the lines of security officers and law enforcement peace officers...instead of be so critical. And you have staff that we're ear bugs keep you from...trespass then you become Bad Guy. Because there so violated. Charles Cecil Fleming.

I was only able to hang out here for a half hour because it is a very small branch and there is little room to discreetly take a phone call inside. Oddly, they have a security guard and she seemed to have her eye on me for some reason. Weird.
Periodicals looked good and the wifi worked very well. Not the hugest selection of fiction and non-fiction but I have no doubt that they can order anything in their system to be transferred here quickly if there is something you want.
There is enough parking for the size of the library.

I been going to this library's location for the last 3 month & I wanted to share my great experience starting from greeting me with a big smile, until saying goodbye with an equal big smile.
Beside the cheerful way of welcoming me ,All staff & volunteers are very helpful: to list couple of example, During one of my recent visit, I had to step out to take a quick break and my stuff were all over the table, I asked the lady , who happened to be a volunteer that day on what should I do?
without hesitation, she insisted to watch my stuff until I come back !!!
Another situation , on Wednesday June 28th ,everything went wrong, as soon as I entered the library, I couldn't connect to the server for more than 30 minutes, and I asked "Robert" one of the librarian's for help, who was so patient until I got connect. Few minutes later, warnings kept popping on my screen, alerting of a virus, I tried to follow instruction and I even contacted the number showing on the screen, then I went straight to "Robert" to help me; he tried to distract the person on the phone , while looking up the number, until he discovered it's a scam, then worked on clearing my computer.Thank God, it did work, and to make things worse, same day I was trying to fill up an application online and after finishing the whole application three times , while trying to save it, the whole form will clear, of course I ran asking Robert again for help, and of course he saved the day and saved my application. The best part was that Mr. Robert did all that with a smile .
I really appreciate him and every person who works hard to do his/her job with passion. God bless !!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jiyoung S.Durham, NC232182211Mar 3, 2022
This location of the library is not the largest nor prettiest WCPL, but it's pretty convenient for me as it's close to my work. I can stop by to drop off and pick up books with no issues. Although it is pretty small, it has plenty of books for you to browse around. If you are looking for a specific book, you can always request it online and pick up at this location for convenience!

I come to this library all the time and bring my father. This library is great for him because it is small and easy to get in, check the new releases, and large print books, and then get out. Not the biggest or beast selection, but my Dad loves it here.

I am a student, and I often come here to study. The library is small, and there are no private/ quiet rooms. It is also commonly used for children functions, i.e. story time for little kids. Great for the community/ kids, but not great if you go to a library and expect it to be quiet.
Wifi works great. Long story short, don't automatically expect a quiet library, especially during certain times. It can be quite loud at times.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Veronica E.Raleigh, NC111Jun 30, 2018
Not impressed at all by this library. Before the renovation a few years back there were a lot of books with an extended selection. After the renovation there is more often than not an extremely small variety and selection of books to choose from. There are no quiet rooms to study and the library is one entire room.
There are a lot of children's activities so much so that it could be mistaken for a day care center. If activities are needed why don't they walk to the other side of the parking lot and use the community center rather than tying up much valuable space and causing a cacophony of noise!
I give this library a hard pass. Hopefully if and when they re renovate the library they will get patrons input. The last renovation was a waste of tax payers dollars (in my opinion).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
