Waipio Rim

This was the best B&B that we stayed at on the whole island. We were on the Big Island for 10 days for our honeymoon and staying at Waipio for our last 2 nights was the perfect way to our time here.

Yes, yes, yes the view is authentic and it is more jaw-dropping in real life. You will be the only guests staying at Waipio. It's also the last property on the end of a private road, so you are really tucked away and get a real nice, isolated feeling with the view. It's one thing to experience the view from the lookout with 10 other ppl snapping photos. It's a TOTALLY different experience to be experiencing it on the deck of Waipio Rim with freshly made pupus and chilled wine in virtually complete privacy.

We had a magical time up there. Steve and Nancy played the perfect hosts and were very, very relaxed, nice, and hospitable, without being overly gregarious. They showed their hospitality while staying "hidden" and making us feel like we had the place all to ourselves.

The bedroom is very large and was meticulously constructed with real hardwood floors. There are high ceilings and windows everywhere. It feels like a beach bungalow or something, really airy, 360 degrees of windows and views of tropical paradise. The space helps to create the perfect "getaway" feeling.

Waipio Rim left a lifelong imprint on me and I will be returning one day!

This has been the best B&B we have ever stayed in. From the beautiful views and room to the kind hospitality and stunning breakfasts, this place absolutely knocks it out of the park. Six stars, if I could give that many.

This is a short review because we didn't get a chance to stay, but we really wanted to. Tropical Storm Darby waylaid our plans to stay at Waipio Rim. The reason for the 5 star review is that Steve, our of concern for our safety, refunded our deposit and suggested we look for a safer place to stay on the western side of the island.

One day we will return and stay at Waipio Rim B&B. Mahalo Steve for your kindness and concern for your guests. It just shows what and exemplary establishment you are.

Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Excellent homemade food. Gracious hosts. View to die for. Perfect for couples. Can't be missed!
