This is restaurant is absolutely splendid. Affordable & quality Mexican food with a full bar.

I have been here twice...it has always been a pleasure. I've tried their vegetarian options: plantain taco, padron pepper quesadilla & mix pepper burritos.

Quesadillas and the tacos are a must try!

The taste, quality & portion size was absolutely delightful.

And I have to mention the hot chocolate with churros... omg it is one of the best I have had since Madrid.
      Highly recommend .

I've walked by this place many times and by the look of it, really want it to check it out. The place is big, great for birthday parties or get togethers. Also very decorative with music in the background. Finally had a chance to go and the service was good, my time there was very relaxing. However, the food didn't impress me as much as I'd hope for. I guess i was expecting more authentic Mexican food than what it was. Food & drinks were okay but I wasn't wowed. If you're just looking for food with a bit of a Mexican twist, this could be it. But for authentic Mexican food, id keep looking.

A solid yet unspectacular Mexican restaurant. Very friendly and good service, nice menu of margaritas, beer and even the wine is good. We had a Wahaca mixed menu plus some additional dishes we wanted to order. Don't remember each course but some of the highlights to me were the plaintain tacos (nice sweet spicy combo), sweet potato taquito (my favorite), multiple chip combinations (guacamole, salsa and beans)(great chips), cactus and courgette taco (never had cactus before but surprisingly good) and four cheese empanada.

Didn't care for the chilli quesedilla and was disappointed with the pork pibil taco (not bad but not great).

I liked the buttermilk fried chicken taco but it was not marked as spicy yet had a spicy streak that was spicier than anything else we tried.

Gorgeous food and drinks and great service. Not that cheap but worth the splurge for a special occasion.

Greeted by our server for the evening we had a very clear explain action of the menu process and opted for the adventure set menu as we couldn't decide on some food so we let the best do there jobs and pick for us! For £32.50 for two people with a dessert you are NOT left feeling like your money has been wasted.

Tortilla chips with salsa and guacamole to begin and help you mull over menu choices ! Also you tend to find wahaca seem to upcycle a lot of stuff, so in the bathrooms your sinks are what I can only describe as big plant pots!

The food is delivered to table as it ready you don't get it all at once but as you normally get so much that's good !

Beer is good and being a Mexican restaurant you can have a wide range of tequilas!

When living in London I remember googling 'authentic Mexican cuisine', up came Wahaca alongside Lupitas. I've tried both and the one I'm addicted to is most definitely Wahaca.

I came to Liverpool for the first time a few weeks ago. I was surprised at what a cosmopolitan city it is, and at the amount of great eateries. I was so pleased to see a branch of Wahaca! This one has three stories with ample seating and a bar on the top floor. My husband and I came around 3pm so it wasn't busy at all.

As a veggie, I am never disappointed by the menu. I ordered the mushroom empanadas, the plantain tacos, and we ordered some frijoles with tortilla chips to share. I also got a horchata (rice and almond milk with cinnamon and lime). My husband got the same, swap the plantain for winter vegetables.

The tacos were incredible--cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. The smokey sauce they use at Wahaca is delicious. In fact I might as well just say that everything was delicious, though I would have preferred the empanada to be baked, not fried, and the horchata to be a little less sweet.

Otherwise all great and I will definitely return to eat more delicious food. Wahaca as a chain seems to be consistent, as I have had great food and service in all 4 branches I've visited.

      The food is A-MAZING.
First off, the place has a modern and contemporary decor, with alternative looking waiters. -In a good way! And they seem to be pretty friendly too!
I've been twice in one week and the food has not failed me yet. You can order a large meal with sides or create a tapas-like dinner picking from a large selection. The chicken wings are so tasty, and the steak is to die for! The margaritas are pretty good too! I particularly enjoyed the Salted Caramel Ice Cream, which had a good sized portion!
We only had one problem which stopped them getting 5 stars. One of our friend's food arrived much later than the rest of us. This was quickly rectified by the waiter who took the main dish off the menu and offered our table a round of drinks. I would put this down to teething problems as the place is only recently open.
I would most definitely return! There is so much on the menu I want to try! There is also a bar up the stairs for a quick predrink! Cheap for what you are getting! Fabulous Guacamole!

Wahaca never disappoints. This branch was so empty on a Monday late afternoon (5pm) so we were seated straight away. Inside is massive and nicely decorated with several floors, different seating areas and lots of bright colours. Service was a little slow from there on but they were super friendly.
I always opt for the sharing plates rather than the big mains and cross my fingers that whoever I'm going with fancies sharing those as well so I get to try even more. They suggest 2-3 small plates each and this time we went for: sweet potato wedges (always a winner), pork pibil taco (bit dry), chicken quesadilla (the worst dish by far as very bland), their special - confit pig cheek taco (such good flavour), guac and chips (guac was tasty but looked like it had been sitting around a while) and one of their new dishes - cauliflower cheese (very cheesy and the cauliflower had also been charred which was nice but hadn't been drained properly as there was tonnes of water in there).
In total it came to £26 which I thought was good value as I came away stuffed! We just stuck to tap water though so any drinks will obviously bump it up a bit.
