What a wonderful place to explore a wide range of plantlife and explore a nice romantic afternoon. There is amazing representation of plant life from the Pacific Northwest that only amplified other features of Volunteer Park.

I'm shocked I haven't reviewed this place yet... it is truly magical. A little oasis from the bustling city, filled with gorgeous plants of all varieties. Admission is free but donation is suggested, and I highly recommend it, since it goes to keep up this little local treasure. A really romantic spot to visit with a lover, or just a nice place to take the family. Beautiful in all seasons, too, as they rotate the displays. Truly world-class!

This place is the jewel in the crown on the Seattle Park's Department. Still one of the city's best kept secrets, the Conservatory is the sweetest place to reconnect with your spirit. On quiet days you can listen to the waterfall in the newly reopened Fern House, contemplate the universe in the Cactus House, or bedazzle a loved one with the Orchid collection in the Palm House. It is romantic and soulful, without being tiresome. The displays are changed with the seasons and are never boring. Even though admittance is free, try to leave money behind to help ensure this Greenhouse lasts into the future.

LOVE this place! Yes you need to pay (a very small amount, like 4 bucks I think), but hey these beautiful babies need some love and caring and it ain't free!
You can easily get lost in the luscious greenery around you, and witness some of the craziest looking plants. I think the place is very romantic - such a cure place to escape from the city greyness. Also, the location is excellent! You are 5-mins drive to some of capitol hill's best brunch/lunch/dinner/coffee spots.
For parking, we fund a spot by the loop - I think it does get quite packed when it's nice outside but overall not too difficult to find a spot to park. Also, don't miss the water tower while you're there!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
