I recently had a bathroom renovated by Mr. Vogel. I feel compelled to share my experience so that if someone out there needs work done on their home they would consider calling Vogel Builders.
Let me start by saying my husband and I did a complete renovation addition on a home in 2007. We worked with an architect and used a contractor that he recommended. We had a few differences with the contractor but all in all were satisfied once it was over. We moved into another home that needed some work and again used the architects recommended contractor. He once again did an "OK" job. We decided to have a bathroom redone and asked this same contractor to give us a bid. He bid the job uncharacteristically high- When we questioned him he told us to take it or leave it, he said the job was too small and not worth his time. I decided to leave it and look else where for help with the bathroom.
I live in Allendale and contacted Mr Vogel after seeing some of his work in my neighborhood. Mr Vogel and I exchanged a minimum of 40 emails over this bathroom before work ever started. He was an excellent communicator and he even sent me a schedule for the work and what I could expect on each day. He was by everyday to check on the progress and was available to answer my calls at all times.
I honestly wish we had met Mr Vogel earlier and had him do the work on our previous projects. He was pleasant and punctual throughout the entire process. He never once let us feel like we were his smaller job. Which I know we were, he builds custom homes also.
A follow up note.... While Mr. Vogel was here for our bathroom project he happened to notice how poorly our attic was insulated and offered to have someone out to blow in insulation. We knew it was needed so we were open to the suggestion and decided to go ahead and get it done. ABC pest and lawn came out this afternoon to follow up on our annual rodent protection plan. The technician was so impressed with how well the attic was insulated he asked who did it, and then proceeded to tell us how good of a job they did. Another point for Mr Vogel in my books.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melissa C.Round Rock, TX3655Jul 12, 2021
Family owned. They take pride in being the best
Construction is not something you want to take chances with. You must have reliable, honest and talent

A home renovation is one of the biggest projects most people take on, and you hear so many horror stories about contractors. But working with Vogel Builders was an amazing experience. Eric Vogel told us from the beginning "this should be a fun process for you all". We didn't really believe him at the time. We fully expected delays, added costs, and huge headaches, especially since our house was very old and we were doing a major renovation and addition. No part of the house was untouched. They began demo/construction in January 2020, of course, quickly after that came lots of unknowns with the pandemic. But Eric handled it all and, other than choosing finishes, there was almost never anything we needed to worry about. Our project managers, Jake and Kyle, would often let me know who was scheduled to do work, what was back ordered, and how things were going. They were great at checking in to make sure everything was as expected and catching and fixing any mistakes early. Talking with them made me appreciate having a good contractor who could order, schedule, reschedule, reorder, and coordinate everything. There's so much more to finding good subcontractors, scheduling them, and getting them to show up and do the work on time, than we ever realized. And ordering materials during the pandemic was a challenge I was very glad to not have to deal with myself. Eric said in the beginning he'd have our house "back to us" in 6-9 months. We moved in to a practically brand-new house in 7 months, on budget, despite the challenges of the pandemic. Service after the project has also been great. Eric has fixed or scheduled and checked up on contractors for any little things that weren't perfect. Some of the things we've had him fix are very minor and it seems silly to even bother fixing them, but Eric always takes even the tiniest issues seriously and gets them taken care of. In the end, Eric was right, the renovation was "a fun process" for us. Eric clearly takes a huge amount of pride in his work and his business, and works hard to keep his clients happy.
