it was quite a few years ago that I had dinner there. at that time I decided we were going to have our grandsons party there. we arranged for a party of 30 people. friends family from Southern California. it was perfection the food the service was everything I had wished for. Vintage Press might be the fanciest restaurant I've ever been to. My boyfriend's friend's parents treated us for dinner and to celebrate the upcoming new year. It is a three course meal with soup and salad already included regardless. For my starter, I had the escargot which was delightful and delicious. I wanted more! The only thing is that there were only 4 shells that were filled with meat and the other 2 were empty which was a disappointment. After my starter, I had potato soup and blue cheese dressing on salad. I normally do not like blue cheese at any cost but I ate it all! After those two meals, I had the lobster and baked potato for my entreé. The lobster was a little overcooked, hard to chew on but still a very good dish that filled me up.

I forgot to mention my drinks. I had a Strawberry Basil Martini and Lemon Drop! Both were delicious and got me a little tipsy.

Nestled in the heart of the Visalia area, Vintage Press is a higher-end restaurant that promises an upscale dining experience. The waitstaff at this establishment truly stood out with their super helpful and professional service. However, one drawback of our visit was the considerable delay in receiving our food.

As for the dishes, the filet mignon was decent, although it didn't quite reach the level of being the best I've ever had. Moving on to the drinks, the strawberry basil martini had a delightful yet slightly sour taste that was truly delicious. On the other hand, the blood orange ice cream left me with mixed feelings--it was okay, but the bittersweet flavor profile didn't quite win me over.

Overall, it was a decent experience.

But Vintage Press is more than just a culinary triumph. It's a haven for memories. The staff, warm and attentive, danced around us like friendly spirits. The owners, their passion shining in their eyes, treated us like honored guests in their grand, historic home. As midnight chimed, surrounded by laughter and clinking glasses, I knew this wasn't just another New Year's Eve. It was a night etched in my soul, a testament to the magic that unfolds within the walls of Vintage Press. And I, for one, can't wait to return and raise another toast to this Central Valley gem.

Made reservations for brunch. Exceptional setting with lots of history. The details in the interior architecture are beautiful. The food was exceptional and abundant. Definitely recommend to make a great impression for any occasion.

Beautiful! The wood finishing in this place is just beautiful.

Indoor seating is what we took
There is also out door seating

      We had the Dinner menu
I destroyed the filet mignon which was stuffed with mushrooms. I also had the onion soup which was so delicious. Not many places know how to make it.
This place did an amazing job with it
I had two mai tai drinks
And for dessert I have the crisp apple with the little bit of ice cream
      Crème brûlée
And I also had an appetizer, which I forgot what it was I want to say it was tuna with some avocado. This is kind of typically given in Hawaii, so it was nice to know this place had it.

The beginner bread which was made out of wheat, was delicious. Nice crisp outside, soft dough inside beautiful butter, too.

This is a great place to have holiday get together for large companies, as intimate as going on a romantic date
Or simply catching up with someone
I dressed for the occasion super cute place highly recommend

While the food wasn't mind blowing, the ambiance and stellar service made our brunch memorable.

Although we made a reservation, there were plenty of tables available so walk-ins shouldn't have a problem. The outdoor tables were much more popular and upon return, I would rather be seated outside. The interior had an antique scent and the booths didn't seem the cleanest. Our server was incredible, giving good recs and our glasses never went dry.

Each table were presented with a tiered tray of pastries and fruit. The fruit was room temperature and the breads were flavorful but a tad tough. While I liked the included honey, jam and butter, I wished that there was more than just a smidge.

      =ORDERED=
*Perfect Pear: despite being named for its pear inclusion, this cocktail had a prominent orange profile. Unfortunately tasted like a flat mimosa.
*Deviled Farm Eggs, Sterling Caviar: very mustard forward and acidic. I was hoping for $20 there would be more eggs than potato salad. Each egg half was piled high with yolk. It would have been easier to share had it been divided into other halves. The caviar had slight saltiness but it was overshadowed by how strong the mustard was.
*Steak Frites: by far the best dish. Steak was seasoned well and cooked to a perfect medium rare. There was a pleasant char and the French fries were crispy. Once again there was a more acidic flavor given the side of mustard and pickled red onion.
*Duck Leg Confit and Grand Mariner French Toast: the duck was salty and overcooked. I could barely chew through the exterior. The French toast was soft, sweet and smothered in cream. Despite the vibrant orange sauce, most of the flavor came from the candied grated peels. I wouldn't get the duck again and while I liked the taste of the French toast, I would want more of a crunch.
*Creme Brulee: classically creamy with subtle vanilla notes. Topped with tart strawberry slices.

I can see the charm with the Vintage Press, especially during Sunday brunch. While the service and ambiance were there, I hope to see the food be more balanced in flavors and textures. The interior needs to be aired out a bit and if I were to return, catch me outside for some fresh air.

We were there for Easter Brunch.
      Service was excellent.
There were four of us and all ordered different dishes. They were all delicious. Ambiance is amazing. Two of us had been there before (many years ago) and two had not. We all live in Clovis but it was worth the drive.
