It seems like it stays busy. We had to clean off our own table. The food was really good, made up for the long wait. We had the chicken fried steak and was probably the best we've had. The women cooking know what they are doing.

This is always a great place to eat at, any time of the day. The food is full of flavor and has great pricing. My boyfriend said this place has a great burger, the best in town. I like the small eater portion of the menu. It's cheap and the perfect amount of food for someone. The only thing that I wish was better is the sweet tea. It tastes like it has Splenda in it.

Food was fresh, staff was great, everything was clean. We're planning a trip through here soon and will visit again.

What a treasure, and breakfast served all day! After reading other reviews on the Village Kitchen, we stopped for lunch. Upon walking inside, I felt at home. The dining area was fresh, clean & inviting. We were immediately greeted by a pleasant server who was efficient & just attentive enough. The menu was quite diverse and offered smaller portioned plates for less $. That was a big plus for us! My husband polished off the full meal deal while I was most satisfied with the mini meal! Overall, it was a perfect place for a break in the travel & tasty food that even included some vegetables! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Food is always amazing, I've never had a complaint. The service is usually good, they take care of you.
The ambiance is a lot of things, it's relaxing, and family oriented. I 395% recommend.

We are usually passing through Jacksboro 1-2 times a month heading to our hunting property. I don't know how it worked out that we were able to stop for breakfast once on our way back home, but now it's become a must-do on every trip. An old school diner at its best, and we have had both a table and sat at the bar, mesmerized watching the line cooks keep it all together. We have had struggles finding a good over-easy egg lately, and village kitchen delivers! I love the Cowboy omelette, and everything else we see coming out looks great too. They close at 2:30, so now we try to time our travels to accommodate a great breakfast after a weekend in the country.
