Teresa is absolutely brilliant. Â She is motivating, positive, extremely knowledgable, a really good person and very effective. Â I called her as a mom of 2 young kids who works full time, having put on baby weight and generally feeling not great about myself. Â I have never been an athlete. Â I needed to get myself in gear and had never had a trainer come to my house before.
Teresa came and I immediately took to her style and personality. Â She is firm and won't let me slack, but there's no yelling or making me feel guilty - it's all about helping me be the best version of myself that I want to be - the decisions are mine. Â
In the few months I've worked with Teresa, I have lost weight, I'm much more fit, I have a ton of energy and I feel really great about myself. Â Most importantly (and most shocking to me), she's made me look forward to working out, both with her and on my own. Â She has actually made being more healthy and active a part of my life, not just some special thing I'm doing for a bit while I pay her in order to get a few pounds off. Â This is a life-long change for me. Â I never expected or even hoped that this would happen.
I am not someone who liked to run or wanted to work out, but I now look forward to that because I know how great it will make me feel. Â I think perhaps the most effective thing Teresa has taught me is that I can make being fit and active a part of my life with ease even with 2 young kids and a full-time professional job. Â I work out with her 2 times a week and on my own 3 times a week. She has given me easy work-outs that I can do in a very small room in my very small condo in 30 minutes on the days I'm working out on my own. Â She has also made me like running. Â Outside. Â In Boston in the winter!
The key for my suceess with Teresa really is her terrific personality, her immense knowledge and her approach of moderation - no need to be a hero, no need to starve yourself, no need to work out for hours with expensive, large equipment that won't fit in my home. Â It's all very practical, very do-able and I'm hooked!
If you're considering working with Teresa, I highly, highly recommend calling her. A personal trainer with a master's, Ph.D, black belt, 3-time All American,  Olympic coach...c'mon...no way...YES WAY! For 5 years I have been sweating and whining my way from couch potato to Adonis (yeah right), well not quite, but I have hope. Teresa is not a big club trainer. Her personal approach, delivered to your home, with  warm, humble and compassionate "you can do it" care is the antithesis of big box underwhelming understudies of personal training. Her knowledge of every muscle and how to work it and why you have to work it and how it relates to YOUR life is what separates her from the average trainer who puts you on a machine and helps you count to 10. Yes, she's an excellent counter, but she also sincerely cares about you and how she can help you live a longer, healthier, happier life, with some lifestyle changes and a consistent intelligent approach to working out. No matter how I feel at 7am, when that door bell rings, and I see her smiling face  behind the front door, I'm ready to rock and I know "I can do it."

Teresa is an excellent trainer. She incorporated martial arts in my workout routine to help me stay motivated. I dropped 10 pounds in a month with proper diet and following her exercise routine. I highly recommend her as a trainer. She knows what she is doing and she does it well. She is also kind, refreshing and positive. Not many trainers have the incredible background that she does.
