VF Trattoria is my go-to restaurant whenever I'm in the area visiting friends and family. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and conducive to great conversation - you're not competing with noisy kitchen sounds or blaring bar music. The best part is the food though. It's consistently delicious, and we all have our favorites: chicken Gorgonzola, portobello-stuffed ravioli, Greek Pizza...Yum! Nice wine list too.

I've been there twice with my husband and family and both times we had a very pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and both times engaged my 4 year old in conversation. The food is great, reasonably priced (though had groupons both times I went). On our last visit we ordered the kids pepperoni pita pizza, Greek salad with chicken and the Chicken parm. Portion sizes were great, my husband had enough for lunch the next day and my daughter had her pizza the next day too.
They have a nice lounge area next door, but I have not had the chance to go there sans child, but I look forward to going back and perhaps trying some adult cocktails next time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Allison B.Coopersburg, PA13946434Jun 1, 2012
I've been here for both eat-in and takeout. I have no complaints. The service and food were both good and the atmosphere is pleasant. Our favorite thing to take out from here is the tomato pie. It has a thick crust and a great sauce. Perfect for the summer. Also perfect for the summer is their modest but sufficient outdoor patio. Not much of a view, but if you want to eat outside, it does the trick.
As far as location goes, it isn't the best. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere on the way to or from Phoenixville. The left out of a parking lot is a challenge as other reviewers mentioned, but it isn't so bad that it's a deal breaker.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Connie M.Collegeville, PA02Jan 13, 2019
Charming place...loved the fireplaces!! Sauce was amazing!! It is on the sweet side which I like! Garlic knots were great...not heavy! Our meals were different than we are use to. Although flavorful not the best and pricey compared to other comparable places.. lemon cake for dessert was very good!! Worth a try!!...

I tried their cheesesteak. It was ok, the bun was a decent texture, the steak was average, the cheese was adequate, but the sandwich was not dressed with anything else. The menu said that it comes with mayo lettuce and tomato, but this one didn't.
Since it was for takeout and I couldn't see them cooking it, I didn't know that I didn't have the extras until I got home. Since home was a 10-minute drive I decided to eat it of course. I almost gave this experience 2 stars, but maybe I had to tell them I wanted the toppings, who knows?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daniel M.Phoenixville, PA151Dec 7, 2014
Omg my new favorite restaurant the waiter (William) was absolutely amazing, knowledged and courteous!!! I had the strip steak special I could kiss the chef!!! Please do me a favor and eat here! Great destination for a date with the lovely ambiance! Plus a great looking menu for a simple lunch or a quick aperitif before returning home from a long day at the office.

Had heard good things about it, so gave it a try. Not super busy upon arrival, seemed like a cluster **** trying to get seated. Food was bland, had their tomato soup (tasted like watered down tomato paste)and mussels marinara. Both had only minor flavor. Waitress was newer I believe, as she seemed aloof spread over three tables. I don't blame her for the food, but going a whole meal without asking about refills etc.

Absolute sh*thole, sat down and almost landed on my a$$ because they didn't clean up the gallon of grease underneath our table. We went on mother's day, and everything my mother ordered, they were out of. Started off by taking 20 minutes to bring our drinks, then they tried giving us some brutal grilled calamari, lucked out and got fried calamari (the only reason for 1 star). Also, half the table ordered Penne pasta, pretty common italian pasta, however, they were out of the too... How do you run out of pasta, wtf. Never coming back again

I love Valley Forge Pizza! The staff is always welcoming at the front door and very friendly. Service is prompt, the food is amazing! Love the margarita pizza! I don't know what is in their red marinara sauce but it's probably the best I have ever had. I have asked if I could take a jar home once. haha Pastas, Pizza, Snacks, and dessert (turtle cheesecake=amazing) everything is so good! I love the outdoor ambiance, perfect for a date night or night out with friends. Love that it's a BYOB!
Thanks Valley Forge Pizza (Cronis) for always out-doing yourselves. :)
