US Post Office

Thank you for forcing a large envelope containing photos into my mailbox. Glad I have bent photos now, even with the envelope saying "photos enclosed Do Not Bend". Happy to know the employees can't read.

I grew up in a small town in N. CA - population 2,000.

We didn't have street mail delivery... we had a post office box... so I'm very accustomed to and fond of small town post offices.

In a lot of ways, this one brings back some of those childhood memories... but that's just an added bonus for me. On the occasion I *do* need a post office; I prefer to get in, get 'er done, and get out. This post office is great for that kind of thing. It's rarely very busy, and the staff here are friendly and efficient.

Since it is a smaller post office, they don't have all the extra fancy shipping materials and cards and so on for sale... but they do have all the basics covered.

I was very disappointed to find that the Loomis P.O Box pick up lobby was locked. It is a Saturday and the lobby times are generally Monday - Sunday, 24-7. A note should be posted on the outside explaining why it is closed to the public. There is an important delivery I needed to get today.

Your new carrier missed the letter in our box today.

Trying to report this by phone tree was difficult if not impossible. I finally got a real person by going through "small businesses" which I am not.

The survey, that I volunteered to take at the end of my call, for monitoring quality, needs to be run through a control group. Some of the questions are ambiguous. They never got to my issue and it's not found on the website.

Best post office I've had the pleasure of using. Friendly staff that puts in 110% on a daily basis. Sorter named Bruce always went the extra mile for me to ensure i got my mail on time.

The counter guy is trained to say no with an attitude. Apparently they don't do post marking or receipts for package drop offs anymore. Where as the counter lady did it for me several times before. Either their rules changed or this guy was too lazy to assist. All he needed to do was pull out the date/time stamp and the scanner for my package but instead felt that it was his duty to adamantly decline the requests.

I have no confidence in dropping any packages, or time sensitive mail, off at this location as the packages sat on the counter top where other guests can easily walk off with them; especially if there are expensive or priceless gifts going out this holiday season.

Love this post office. Very easy to get in and out and there's never a line. Staff are very helpful too. Win for small town businesses.

Great little post office in a small town. Workers know us by name and we always get great service here. (We do have issues with our substitute postal carrier, and the main office is working on rectifying the situation)
