US Post Office

I came in this morning right behind three other people to get stamps. There was one clerk at the counter helping someone. The lady who was at the head of the line started to complain about the wait within five seconds. The clerk called for help and a second person came out immediately, and called the next customer up. The customer had a return in a box that was not ready to go. The clerk looked at the tag and told her it was a return that had to go through UPS, NOT the post office. The customer asked for tape and the clerk very politely told her that UPS would give her tape when she got to their facility. The customer asked if the post office had tape, and the clerk (again very politely) told her the post office only SOLD tape. This evidently ticked off the customer, as she made a nasty remark. She grabbed the box and turned to address the rest of us in line, saying something to the effect that the service here was always "the worst!" Jeez, lady, get your act together! You were at the wrong place and expected the post office to do something that wasn't their job?? Kudos to the employees there who kept their cool.

I refuse to give it any stars. I have had repeated problems with the Elmwood Park post office. Lost mail, lost packages......not stolen, LOST. The worst part is their total lack of concern. The just don't care, lost bills, bank statements.....too bad. It will show up, or not.
Recently, my autistic
grandson came to live with us after a two month stay in hospital. My son "overnighted" at a cost of $28.60 his meds to me. Three days later they were still not here. The people at the PO were rude, insulting and totally uncooperative. They refused to take responsibility, i ended up driving to a PO half an hour away when they finally found my package after epic temper tantrum. I never received an apology, she rudely said " you're welcome" when I was leaving, to which I replied...how about "we're sorry?"

However, the young woman named Noel in Ringwood Post Office was outstanding. She truly saved the day.

I go to this post office often, usually on Saturday and this is the best location around. been sending my ebay sales out from here for over 10 years. Amazinng staff!!!!! usually I just walk in and use their drop box but if its empty I will go in and say hello... never had any issues here and I have been to all the post office locations in the fair lawn/ elmwood park area this is #1. Usually they are very busy but it is because they are better than everyone else so people come here, including me and I live in Saddle brook.

I was refraining from leaving a review about this post office for a long time. Unfortunately, every time I visit this post office location I leave the place frustrated. Two women working there are anxious and unfriendly. The younger woman especially, always has to make a comment that you did not say exactly what you requested or give her wrong information( even if you did not). Overall very bad experience for years.

This place is right across from my parents so I would come here often due to convenience- but typically the same employees here are miserable, rude and are too busy talking to each other about their personal lives to really care about the next person in line OR the person they're helping that's right in front of them. I do get the occasional employee that's nice.. like once every 6 months though. I literally cringe every time I have to come here. I would just like a friendly hello and maybe a smile... but a hello would just be enough, rather than a stank look.

"Moe" the supervisor is one of the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. He cuts people off while they are speaking and never gives a direct answer to any questions. The only saving grace of this location is Gloria. She is awesome and has excellent customer service skills. Moe should never be allowed to interact with customers as, in my opinion, he has no people skills. #dreadful

having problem with a mailbox on the corner of blvd and Rudolph ave. been using this box for about 40 or more years ,never until recently when mail has been delivered late or someone is tapering with this . I had checks stolen and payments misapplied to other accts!!! . when we complained to the postal supv he said just don't use the mailbox imagine that!!!!there ia sticky glue on the slot and mail is sticking as you drop your mail in box. number of time reported this and still nothing done.! postal supv. told us to call there fraud dept and we did never got a response!!!! horrible situation!!!!
