Urban Landworks is such a disorganized and unprofessional business. They constantly have issues with getting customers set up with automatic payments--even if their account states it's enrolled in auto pay, they're really not. This results in an outstanding balance invoice at the end of the season, which happened to me in July and December 2023 ($688.18 and $1051.27, respectively). The latter ended up being withdrawn from my account all at once, despite being three separate invoices and agreeing upon three separate payments spanning three months (January-March 2024). I was then double charged for the first invoice on March 4th, one week after my final payment was completed--now I have paid for a service I never received, nor did I agree to this particular payment (who would voluntarily offer to pay double the amount for absolutely no reason?) This is technically theft. On top of that, over the last year and a half I kept having issues of my lawn not being mowed when it should have been, and piles of leaves being left in the street in front of my house following a fall cleanup when they should have been collected and removed--and I'm not even completely certain the second round of fall cleanup was ever performed because my lawn sure didn't look like it, but they definitely charged me for it anyway. Stay clear of Urban Landworks for your lawn maintenance needs or you'll deeply regret it.

The following two were under new management. A huge pile of leaves from our yard were left in the street for several days before being collected, which only happened because I sent an e-mail requesting it. On more than one occasion it looked like my lawn wasn't even mowed. Twice in 2023 I received e-mails with significant past due balances (July for over $600 & December for over $1000), despite being set up for automatic payments and receiving an e-mail in July assuring me and confirming that auto-pay was set up going forward after the first issue I encountered. I was told that they encountered an issue with their automatic payment system, but they appatently did not notify clients. That's a lot of money to cough up at once, so we agreed the invoices would be processed separately over three months. Suddenly at the beginning of January I noticed that all of the invoices were processed at once which left my account negative which left me unable to pay my mortgage necessary bills. When I e-mailed Urban Landworks, the woman in the billing department (Patty, whom I had contact with in all of my other e-mails pertaining to auto-pay issues) said she was on vacation and was sorry and to contact my bank--I was not offered a refund at that time, which would have been the simpler solution. Eventually, they did reluctantly agree to refunding two of the invoices. What this tells me is that there is little to no communication within the company, and there's no communication with clients. It's a very poorly run business, and there is no accountability. Yes, I should have been watching my account more closely, but I placed my trust in the company who had assured me my automatic payments were set up appropriately. From what I'm reading here, this is a common occurrence. Steer clear of this business unless you enjoy the headache.

No communication regarding an error on their end. We have emailed and called five times. VERY POOR.

My landlord initially setup the contract for last season. Mowing was timely, snow removal was contracted out to another company. Renewal came around and a new contract was sent with an email that indicated all the other services that were available but weren't an option on the attached contract. Email sent to Mike Draper on March 22nd asking about the other services went unanswered. I decided it wasn't worth it to renew after the lack of communication. Also, the billing is non-sensical. It's supposed to autopay and be paperless but it never does. I always get a bill mailed, usually with past-due amounts because the autopay doesn't work. Overall, the billing and communication is lacking. The snow removal is farmed out so I might as well go direct with them. If all you need is mowing, and can get in contact with them, and are okay with making your own monthly payment, it's acceptable. If you expect the technological options offered to function as intended and ever need to speak with someone, you'll just be frustrated.

I have used urban landworks at both of my homes for weekly grass cutting, small landscape projects and irrigation system maintenance. I also grew up with these guys and know they go above and beyond to create dynamite outdoor living spaces!

Urban Landworks built me a koi pond 5 years ago, it is truly a dream come true. We just moved and I will have them build another Pond or water feature this coming year. I will let you know how it goes! 5 Stars on Matt and the team at urban
