Uptown Coney Island

Great breakfast, bad coffee, excellent service. This is what you can expect at Uptown Coney. The weekend crowd is loyal and they fill fast. If you have to wait, it will be short. They are masters at turn over. The food is out fast and fresh. Comfy booths, and there is a patio for larger groups. Haven't had a bad server yet.

Jared at the register is hilarious and so upbeat all the time. The owner floats around helping out where he can and greeting ppl. Genuinely happy to see guests.

We love this breakfast spot, even with the bad coffee. Theresa is our favorite server. Don't sleep on the lunch menu though. Tons of comfort food options and healthy items too.

I tried the Super Grilled Cheese. I chose to get a mixture of the American, Swiss, and cheddar cheeses. Also, I added the bacon and tomato, with Texas toast. Overall, the sandwich was a bland and greasy disappointment. It wasn't helped by the additional slice of bread in the middle. Not something I would order again.

The onion rings were pretty good, and I would order these again.

$20 for a dry gyro with piles of onions and even worse fries. Fries were so old and dry they were inedible. $3.35 for a small soda to go (they had one size but it's very small) that was all ice. Rip.off!

When I picked up my order, I asked if there was silverware in the bag and the answer was, there should be. Because I wasn't heading home this was particularly important. I opened the bag (which was tied or I would have just checked to begin with) and there wasn't. I asked then for silverware and she was rude about it. Ridiculous.

Good, solid food done well. Jared, our server was extraordinary. Excellent service, kind & thoughtful. Breakfast was fantastic. Best breakfast in a long time. And a VERY diverse menu. We will definitely be back. No pics bcuz we were starving. I'm not sure a Coney Island can do better than this.

I can't speak to much of their food. Their coffee is bad according to my wife, but we got two coney's and fries and they were great. Service was fast and friendly. Would go back.

Don't go here to eat the food had taken a downturn. I got biscuits and gravy. Thought I was getting the large portion I got four halves and the biscuits were awful. And the gravy was anemic. Not worth the money that's for sure! They used to have chunks of sausages in the gravy not it's pale and teeny tiny almost there pieces of sausage.

A large menu selection. Great service. The portions are very large. Typical Coney Island atmosphere.

The staff is extremely personable. The food is not bad, but the prices are expensive for what you get. $16 for a Western Omelette with their special cinnamon swirl toast ($2 up-charge)). Do realize that prices are up everywhere, but felt this was high. The place was packed though as there are no other sit down breakfast places on the main road.

I've always had good food here. The service is good and staff are friendly. Takeout has always been very nice.

Had great expectations since I hadn't been here in years but was in the neighborhood and decided to do a takeout.

Ordered chicken stir fry. Took it home. So, so salty because it was overloaded with soy sauce. Called the Restaurant not to complain but to suggest that they put the soy sauce, in the future, in a small, plastic container so the customer could add their own to taste. He could have cared less. An offer of a free dessert, etc, on a future visit, would have been nice to lure me back. Not going to happen.
