Sewing Incubator

Where do I start (Major FRAUD Alert). I found Rocio and her company via yelp which I have trusted for years. I use Yelp to find businesses to work with, restaurants to eat at, and just about everything in between. I have faith that the companies that are reviewed by them are legitimate and trustworthy.

Sadly, this was not the case after over 8 months of dealing with Rocio and her company. My company is in the fashion and design business, and I had enlisted and trusted in Rocio and her team to create 600 garments for me of high quality and design. I paid up front ($10,000) for the specialty fabric and enlisted her team of designers to embroider the logos and lettering of my brand. I also sent weekly payments of $2000-$3000 as requested for two changes, and continued printing of my garments. As this went on for 8 months, I would check in weekly and started noticing push back. Every conversation I had, the garments were delayed one week, then another, then another.
At first Rocio's team got COVID, then they had to take a one-month vacation, then the printer was too busy, then her Dad was in the hospital (this wouldn't be the first time this line was used), and the weather all affected my order's completion.

Finally, after 8 months of ZERO product, couple samples, and a life savings spent on my company's dream, I received a call from Rocio that 6 shirts would be completed and ready for pickup 1/26/2024 at 5pm. I arrived at 4pm to try and figure out why only 6 of my 600 orders of shirts were ready. I spoke to a few of the workers, and they mentioned the shirts were not made there. Rocio arrived 20 minutes later, had a brief meeting, and left. She then came back at 5pm and we had our meeting. She showed us the 6 shirts which had been in the back of her car the entire time. Which was weird as she could of given me these sooner. None the less, we reviewed the samples, and the fabric was wrong, of poor quality, see through, and not the color I had spent $10,000 picking out. After asking about the printer, she said they were "not reachable, no address, and located in DTLA." I explained she had 8 months to correct this issue, and the "printers" had many months of hand printing to see that the fabric was the wrong fabric. She denied everything and seemed completely lost.
She would not call the printer, not take responsibility for the mistake, and kept saying "OK I Understand." I asked to see the physical product of my 600 shirts, and she said they are at the printer. She then said, they cannot be reached, we cannot go there, and they do not take calls. I realized shortly after this was a SCAM. I asked for my money back and she said I have to talk to my partner. I asked her where was he anyway, she said he was in the hospital with his daughter. This excuse was used prior as you already know.
At this point I have 6 shirts that are wrong, $30,000 in savings gone, and no indication of a refund, the correct product, or any help from the supplier. I have had to contact my bank and start a fraud case, as well as local authorities to report a criminal case. Lastly, when I was at the bank handling the fraud paperwork then recognized the company's name and mentioned they had flagged a $40,000 wire from another client. I truly hope I am the only one who has been duped by this company.

I met with Rocio at sewing incubator to go over my business line she is very professional and thorough. She has great integrity and I would definitely trust sewing incubator with my clothing line.

It was a pleasure working with Rocio at SI. She was personable and transparent about the process from the start.

Since I launched during the pandemic, there were obviously supply chain issues that were beyond our control--but she kept up communication and we got through it as best we could to meet a pre-holiday delivery.

If you're planning to start your own brand, I highly recommend talking to Sewing Incubator because they actually care about your vision. As a small business owner, I found this to be really valuable because we were aligned on delivering a high quality product. Rocio was extremely generous with her time and offered good feedback when tough decisions had to be made.
I wish I had found Rocio when I first started because the company I initially worked with (Indie Source) just wasted my time and resources. That's a much different review for another day!

Moral of the story: Do your research and don't choose a company based off of a fancy logo and fake reviews. Instead, make a smart decision and call Sewing Incubator.

I went into production with UDS for my children's clothing line. I've spent so much time with them in very stress situations but they always help out and try to make it work at all costs.

Rocio is the brains behind the magic and she has a good team working with her. They make patterns, samples and are able to source & do pre + post production.

They sew right infront of you which has always been a dream- if you're "making in America", you want to see it happen!

Rocio and her crew are AWESOME. They really helped with getting my patterns and prototypes made in a reasonable amount of time. Additionally, her knowledge of clothing manufacturing is extremely valuable and can help you avoid some serious issues in the future.

Rocio will tell it to you straight. She doesn't over promise and informs you of possible obstacles and regulations. Her meeting with me was invaluable. She also responds in a timely manner. Pleasure to work with.

Wow! I am not exaggerating when I say this company is TOP NOTCH! I am a start up fashion Designer based in San Diego and have been searching high and low for a trustworthy legitimate affordable company to work with from patternmaking to samples, duplicates, and production. Unfortunately in the industry I have come in contact with so many manufacturers who have burned me and just when I was at my wits end with this process I found Unlimited Design Services. I can cry tears of joy because I know God directed me to them. I just got through approving my 1st duplicates and they are gorgeous.

Not only are Rocio, David and Brittany so professional and assuring but they are also the most down to earth people I've met in the industry thus far.

If you are looking to have anything from patterns to production done( whether small or large quantity) THESE ARE YOUR PEOPLE!!!!!!
Their quality of work is impeccable, the turn around time is QUICK, they are AFFORDABLE and the communication is wonderful!

I am a small start up small business Sewing Incubator saw my potential. Though I appreciate that in itself, I appreciate their honesty and transparency to what is necessary, feasible, etc and their sincerity. I truly felt that my ideas were heard and embraced. In addition, the knowledge that was provided to me within the first meeting was invaluable. If I obtained that much in a couple of hours I can only imagine what's to come throughout this process. In doing research of various businesses around I am grateful to have found SI and I look forward to future business with them.

Words cannot express how much I appreciate Rocio and her team for helping my vision come true for my business! Rocio is a master at this business. The work out of this facility is top notch and customer service with Rocio, Chris and David is second to none.
