I've been around this campus before but don't you worry, I'm a CATS FAN! I bleed blue, but I can't deny that UofL is a pretty good school with lots of talent.
I came here on a very hot day since my friend wanted to see where her classes were at. She's already got her Masters so this ain't her first rodeo.
It's not a huge campus at all. Buildings aren't hard to find and everything felt like a 5-10 minute walk.
There's a lot of school spirit but I didn't see as many people wearing red as I thought I would. UofL is a huge commuter school, so I'm sure lots of students don't invest time in every extracurricular.
I like how historic the buildings are and some of the newly built ones.
With all the large trees, there's tons of shade as well!
Looks like they've got all kinds of resources on campus and orgs to join if that's your thing.
I'm sure it's a fun place to go to school. I've enjoyed a few basketball and football games here. I can't lie. They're pretty good!Helpful 15Thanks 0Love this 16Oh no 0 - Apr 1, 2022
The University of Louisville is a beautiful campus and a great university altogether. I've been a big fan of their sports teams for many years and have been to numerous sporting events and it's always nice facilities and I really enjoy exploring and walking on their campus. They have a lot to offer and a wide variety of public are on their campus. It's definitely worth checking out it's in a nice convenient location it is worth the trip

I am not, nor ever have been, a student at the University of Louisville. I do find myself there for events, the museum, library, and the planetarium. I know they have a robust program, they produce renowned scholars, develop athletes, and have more scandals than you can shake a stick at.
If you have the chance to attend something here you should jump at it. They have a quality program, good facilities, and you always leave having learned something.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Shelby Z.Louisville, KY77318342297Jul 20, 2018
I attended UofL 2 out of the 4 years during my college career. My experience here makes me appreciate my transfer sophomore year.
For the most part, I liked being a student here. Of course since it's UofL, there is a lot of school spirit and involvement on campus, and I like that. There are a lot of wonderful, intelligent professors at this school and there are some bad apples; but you'll get that pretty much wherever you go.
The campus is very large, and most classroom building aren't too far of a walking distance. The SAC offers plenty of fast food options for lunch; I did wish that they had healthier options. They used to have an awesome salad bar, but sadly they got rid of it. I didn't like how as a commuter I was forced to buy a $200 meal plan, but it did last me through the whole semester.
Parking is probably one of the biggest things that they need to work on. I understand that the area does not have much space for anything else and whatnot, but taking a shuttle all the way from Cardinal Stadium is just incredibly inconvenient. They have parking garages right on campus, but it would cost me $4-$6 every day I parked there. There are multiple parking lots all over, but most of them are reserved for faculty only. Their campus police also hold no saving grace for parking tickets, no matter what the situation is.
UofL also held a lot of fun events, always had something going on on campus, and had a club for just about anyone. Overall I'm happy with the memories I have made here and glad I was able to obtain my degree from here.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Julie O.Louisville, KY27207550Jan 23, 2019
I work here. They treat employees badly. Especially ones that have been here a long time. Not a good work environment. Bad morale all around

Save your money and go to UK. I don't like UK but I will give my money to UK before I give my money to the University of Louisville. Rudest employees I have ever had the disservice to interact with. The campus is filthy but want to charge people top dollar for a nickel's worth of education. Low rate staff running it. Save your money go somewhere else.

Disclosure: I'm biased because I got my bachelors here and I'm a die hard UL fan.
The campus is not too big or small and kept clean. It's really pretty during spring and summer when the flowers bloom. The speed museum is free on Sundays and a sight to see.
The gym is fairly new and well equipped. The only downside is parking anywhere; you have to be careful of timing to avoid towing and tickets down to the very last minute.
The library is nice and there's two sides (W&E) with long hours. You'll find it busy during lunch but other times it's not bad at all. The third and fourth floors are the quietest.
There's always someone willing to help whether it's directions or choosing courses, I find that many students and professors are friendly when you actually speak to them. During the semester you can always find something going on somewhere. What I love is that this university is truly dedicated to its message of diversity and fairness amongst all. You can see it implemented and reinforced through the community. I had a great four years here.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mar 26, 2016
Ok so I have 3 degrees from this place so of course I am going to give it 5 stars! I love my Cardinals!
Came to the campus last night for a UL soccer game at the old stadium (still new to me!) and got to see Coach Ken Lolla and his team. The University has really found some great coaches (and yes, some not so great ones) but Coach Lolla is amazing. He has high moral standards and loves his players. As a matter of fact, many know his standards and unless they fit that they don't even apply to play for Coach Lolla. Which basically gives us a whole team of good kids with great sportsmanship!
The campus also houses some pretty great facilities like the natatorium where the swim and dive team work out, the Speed Art Museum in on the opposite end of the campus, and of course, Cardinal Stadium! They also have a playhouse where wonderful plays are put on and a beautiful auditorium at the School of Music with wonderful acoustics. The campus is pretty and there are some nice green spaces on a campus in the downtown area.
Go check it out and GO CARDS!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Carolyn G.Woodland, CA215489215Jul 1, 2015
Beautiful campus in this great city. Came here for the first time this week. I was super impressed by the Rodin sculpture of "the Thinker." Apparently, it's the first cast version of the sculpture ever made. The original sculpture is in Paris and this is the second one! Very impressive.

Amazing university doing things for the community. We are at our second Cards Under the Stars Outdoor movie... tonight we are seeing Inside Out. They provide free activities such as Inflatables, miniature golf, crafts, and also prizes. Tonight bonus Swag if you are a Pokemon Go Player!
