I am hesitant to put up this review because I've heard a lot of mixed reviews and experiences about this organization. As this is Yelp here is my experience.
I've donated money to them before and know people who table for them picking up donations. In general I feel that the people who work in the city collecting donations need to be 1. Friendlier 2. Have more information and 3. Tell people where their money is going. There are various "packages" people can donate towards survivors and those going through medical procedures. In general I've heard that this money sometimes goes to the people who collect it.. which is disheartening as alot of other organizations do this AND the donations asked for are not cheap. At a time it will be $150 cheapest package. So I think people should be careful and KNOW who they are donating to. I got the impression that the people asking me to donate didn't care for the cause, or know anything about the organization they "work for" - RiAmour B.San Diego, CA111212/29/2021
I am reading a lot of reviews and it seems that most of the people reviewing are on the giving end. Im not sure how they handle that side of the business but from the receiving end I can attest that they are not a scam foundation. I have been battlng breast cancer for a year and a half and out of all the foundations I can say that this one has assisted me the most. They were a tremendous help in my time of need and have also helped my sister who is also unfortunately battling breast cancer. I cant say enough good things about the good work they do here. Im sorry to hear that their donation prospecting calls are less than satisfactory but I can assure you that your donations are going a long way.

My boyfriend was essentially coaxed to donate on a busy Philadelphia street by a group of marketers/representatives. They were more interested in meeting their amount raised quotas than discussing the organization. That is basically all the gentleman talked about. In fact, the guy I talked to seemed to have very little knowledge about breast cancer or other well known organizations such as Susan B Komen.
When my boyfriend said he would donate $20, that man looked SO visibly annoyed like we were inconveniencing him to a great degree. My boyfriend later tells me that the guy told him to ask me to give him $20. He was SO rude and unprofessional. His true colors immediately showed when my boyfriend wouldn't give him the amount he wanted. Based on the other reviews, this is a disgraceful organization. Shame on you. - Kevin P.Grand Rapids, MI06136/28/2022
Traded my private information with Central Park Conservatory through their third party direct mailer - despite my explicit request that I not be contacted  nor my information not be traded with other non-profit organizations. Super disrespectful, dishonest and craven organization. It's only now a matter of time before I start getting 10-15 donations requests/month from random non-profits.

This group is not a scam and is truly a a Breast Cancer Foundation for those needing help. Â I have partnered with them on supplies for women coming out of surgery and desperately requiring assistance when they can't afford it because their illness has depleted their savings or they can no longer work - like others have posted. Â They likely raise funds through donations, and use phone calling as a method to solicit donations. Â Just know your money is going to someone who truly needs the help. Â They have been fantastic to deal with and always willing to go above and beyond as a volunteer. Â We all need help from time to time, and I am thankful groups like this exist to help others.

I am a breast cancer survivor at the age of 44. I have had bilateral mastectomies, reconstruction and chemo. I have worked and been financially stable my entire life until my breast cancer diagnosis. I reached out to the United Breast Cancer Foundation and applied for their individual grant. The process takes some time, but The United Cancer Foundation helped me financially when I had no where else to turn to help me get back on my feet while concentrating on healing. There are not enough words to express my appreciation for all they do for so many at the most vulnerable times of their lives. I definitely plan to pay it forward when I am able to.

This is a scam! Period. They call at inappropriate hours and are very pushy. They don't like to send pledge cards either. Also, it's true, as another reviewer mentioned, that when they finally get you on the phone the technique goes something like, Â "Hello, Jane?" "Yes, this is she." "Well, Finally, you picked up the phone! You're tougher to reach than the President. Ha, ha!"
Please do your research before donating! - Roe H.Leland, NC0512/9/2018
I receive calls (which fortunately are blocked immediately by my free blocking service) from this so-called charitable organization. They continually use different numbers from different states all over the country and caller id names to trick you into answering. Even if it wasn't blocked, there is no way I ever answer calls from any numbers I do not know, especially unscrupulous ones like this one. If you should call back (I didn't but a friend who also receives these ridiculous calls did) on any number, no matter what the area code and number is, you reach the same exact recording with the same exact voice.
Do yourself a favor and do not answer these callers at all. If you want to really donate, search for a area in your own community and support them. They need it more.
In addition, until the donotcall registry changes its list of those who may not call, charities are exempt, as well as political and surveys. I always thought do not call means just that, do not call for any reason. - H H.Reston, VA384164/23/2018
This sham foundation is the worst offender. They call at late hours using robo call techniques "hello is Tiffany there? No oh don't worry I'll call back" to make sure a human answers, or really inappropriate calls such as "I finally got you on the phone, you are worse than my mother in law" weird hokie conversational stuff meant to catch you off guard. I've done research on them and how they trick people into donating-how much of their money actually goes to cancer victims. Google them online, there is plenty of information-see Charity Report under Give.org, Charity Navigator, etc. they have to report where the money goes, do the research before you give, there are so many other worth while organizations that don't annoy the hell out of you every night on your phone!

If I could give the UBCF no stars, I would. Â I have received multiple calls from them, all from different numbers, soliciting donations. Â I finally - to shut them up - told them to send me a pledge card. Â They didn't want to. Wanted me to donate with my credit card...I told them repeatedly I would not do that. Â Threw the pledge card away when I got it. Â Now I'm receiving multiple calls every day from them. Â I picked one up recently and the person on the other end asked for me by name then said, "Ok, no message. Thank you." Â Until I knew who this was, I was really upset because of the calls where the caller gets you to say "Yes" then uses that recording as a means of identity theft.
DO NOT SUPPORT THIS "CHARITY." Â I am reporting to the FCC and BBB.
