I get a bit stressed and anxious about going to the doctor, but I am so happy to have found Dr. Batra. She is understanding and patient and makes me feel like everything will be Ok! The nurses are fantastic also!

Dr. Justine Korolyov is the best. So compassionate, office works efficiently, nurses are very friendly. I have received my annual exam here and shots.

I've going to this location for a few years now and I'm always treated well and get into my appointment Promptly. Also I call in for prescriptions and they are called in immediately. I highly recommend this UCLA Location.

UCLA is not as great as it was once. The doctors seem to be so overscheduled that they have no time to talk to you for anything. You are lucky if you can get more than 5 minutes with them. They have no consideration for patients or time that they take out from their day. They have lost the personal touch and are prioritizing having more and more patients. This may work for them for sometime but can already see how this will be UCLA's downfall.

Very pleasant doctors office, nurses are always sweet and welcoming. Front desk has always been nice as well. I've been a patient at this sight for over a year, Dr. Korolyov has been awesome. I've been having all male primary doctors for the past few years and it feels good to have finally found a female doctor that I like! She's thorough and really really takes her time to talk to you and listen to your concerns which is something that I really value!

After years of bad experiences with doctors as a teenager, my trust level is extremely low with the whole profession. Aside from my two pregnancies, I haven't been to a "regular" doctor more than a handful of times in my adult life (I'm 35). I decided this year was my time to finally take my health seriously and worked up the nerves to finally make a new patient appt and establish care with a PCP for the first time ever.

I made my appt online and was actually excited to get medical questions I've had finally answered - my body has changed a lot after two kids & Dr Batra's bio said she was passionate about women's health and preventive care. I thought it would be a perfect fit.

On the day of my appt, admittedly I accidentally went to the wrong office. My appt was at 11am. As I rushed back to my car, my GPS from the wrong office to the correct office said 7 minutes, with an 11:08 arrival time. I called dr Batra's office immediately and told them I would be approx 10 minutes late. I was informed they would "tell the nurse, but I was up to the doctor if they would see me." I thought surely a doctor would be able to work around it, especially with the heads up. I figured I may have to wait because I may get bumped if the following appt was already in the office.

I got to the office to check in & the man at the desk said the same thing "let me check, it's up to the doctor if she will see you." I was informed they have a 5 minute grace period & then they will take the next appt -- I was 11:09 so I missed the 5 minute window. He made a quick call and sure enough... Dr Batra informed him to tell me she could see me for "3-5 minutes" if I had something specific to discuss... my appt was for a new patient annual exam. I'm not sure how effective 3-5 minutes could be. So I left. And I'll never go back to her. I can't imagine she cares much about women's health or preventive care with such an attitude. Never once was I warned about this grace period & if my doctor expects me to be absolutely perfect and make no mistakes ever, I'm no longer comfortable discussing my health with her.

Another patient (the only other one in the lobby, who was leaving after his appt) & the parking lot attendant watched me leave with tears in my eyes. After battling anxiety to make the appt, taking the day off work, and clearing my schedule with two young kids -- to be denied care over 4 minutes was a really hard blow.

I liked the care I received here quite a bit! I was seen on-time, and the front desk staff was very friendly, while the place was clean. Specifically I was there to see Dr. Bier, and he was fantastic. He took his time with me, didn't seem annoyed or rushed, and genuinely listened to me and my concerns. He is very knowledgable and has great bedside manner. I had complete trust in him and I walked out feeling that I was in great hands.

Dr. Sumina is great, but she is never available for same day appointments - it seems as though she took on too many patients. They constantly try and offer for you to see another Dr. I wouldn't recommend seeing the other Dr.'s. Both times I've seen other Dr's, it has been problematic, as the Dr.'s didn't look at my history and/or couldn't help due to it being a Friday afternoon and by the time they set the appointment, they couldn't do any testing. Those appointments also feel very rushed and uncaring.

This place is a scam. As many other patients have noted, they will charge you for your 100% covered by insurance preventative physical. This happened to me last year, and after submitting feedback they told me "that was a one time thing because you were a new patient, you won't be charged again." That doesn't add up, but I went with it and scheduled another preventative physical this year. I informed the front desk, the nurse, and the doctor that I was here for a preventative physical, would not be asking questions, and would expect my bill to be zero. Lo and behold, a week later I get two bills totaling ~$80. Currently having my insurance fight with them, but these are downright deceptive/fraudulent billing practices. Never in my life have I been charged a dime for a preventative physical. Lesson learned -- never in my life will I use UCLA Health again.

Anything you say can and will be used against you... yes, even in the safety of a doctor's office.

After changing insurances, I was looking to establish care with a new PCP. In the midst of the pandemic, I was informed by Dr. Ko's staff that I could either go into the office for a in-person visit or do a telehealth visit to establish care. Given we were in the middle of a global pandemic and state-wide stay at home order, I obviously selected the safer option and chose the telehealth visit as I was only requesting a prescription in a non-urgent medical situation. My visit with Dr. Ko lasted less than 5 minutes in which I described my prescriptions and asked for a renewal. Dr. Ko did not do any medical assessment of my case and simply renewed my prescription. I was surprised how quick this encounter to establish care was but was just satisfied my prescriptions were renewed at the time.

Three weeks later, boom. I get a $450 bill. Turns out, Dr. Ko coded the visit as non-preventative when there was no medical assessment made to renew my prescription. My insurance plan did not cover this bill due to Dr. Ko's coding. After this bill, I contacted her office staff and they went back on their word and said preventive visits are only done IN-PERSON so no telemedicine visits can ever be coded as preventive. I was pretty shocked since this is NOT what her staff initially told me when I scheduled the appointment. Even when asking her staff to speak with Dr. Ko and ask for some compassion and grace due to my recent change in insurance, they denied my request. This really soured my experience. As a first-time patient in what is already an unpredictable health crisis, I was fed conflicting information which was very disappointing and stressful. Why would I go in-person to a doctor's office for a non-urgent situation during a global pandemic and at peak COVID-19 cases in the county? And just because I choose a telehealth visit, I am billed $450? You've got to be kidding me.

This terrible experience has ruined the great reputation I thought UCLA Health had. I've never had such a negative experience at any healthcare facility and am quite scarred at the lack of service, patience and understanding of UCLA Health, especially amidst a global pandemic and stay-at-home order.

Through my experience, I can see that UCLA Health is just another money-hungry corporation rather than a health care facility that truly cares for its patients' well being. Judging from others' reviews, it looks like my experience with their billing and front desk team was similarly disappointing and indicative of the unorganized and contradicting mess going on at UCLA Health. I will no longer be seeking healthcare at any UCLA Health facility and have already switched to Cedars Sinai. The care I've received so far at Cedars has been phenomenal and truly seamless. If you're looking for a PCP, do not go to this facility unless you are trying to get cheated and lied to!

I've been seeing Dr. Sumina for so long I don't even remember when I started seeing her; likely over 10 years. I have referred her to several friends who now also see her and are satisfied with her care. Dr. Sumina is very professional and succinct. She listens and speaks with facts and without judgment. I am a healthy person and really just go in for physicals. I could not say how she treats anyone with a serious health issue but based on my experience with her, I'd say she would take your ailments seriously. I'm about to find out bc I'm about to switch my daughter to her who is not in optimal health. I have no complaints about the front office staff or the nursing staff. Everything has gone smoothly during my visits. Front lobby always feels clean and has never been crowded.
