I recently dropped my Pixel on the floor and (fortunately) had google product protection, which covered the front screen replacement for a modest deductable. uBreakiFix is the only authorized repair facility, so I was glad to find a location near me. I went online to file the claim, got the authorization, and was good to go!
But...the La Jolla location of uBreakiFix had no record of my authorization and was nervous about fixing the screen without it. Apparently, Google sent the paperwork to the Midway location, even though I had discussed using the La Jolla location in detail with the online technician. This was a bit stressful, even though I offered to pay the whole price if needed. In the end, the staff at La Jolla was able to see the authorization and took care of the repair with no issues.
I recommend uBreakiFix if you need your phone fixed. I rarely give anybody a one star and this location I would give a zero star but I don't think that'll show up on the rating scale, they did not tell me how long it would take to fix the battery so I showed up they told me would be two hours or more, it was clearly gonna disrupt my entire afternoon since the phone is the key part of my business, the attitude of the shop staff person was absolutely despicable, the cost is also 30 to 40% higher than the competition, and now I'm getting endless emails from asurion advertising other services, this is their main vendor that supports their franchise operation which is always worse in my opinion than local direct owners

Please do not fall for the charging port cleaning service. There are some reviews on here which mention they did it for free. I recently went in and the gentleman told me he'd do it for $50. Please, find someone with an air compressor and a needle and clean it out in 30 seconds like they do. Absurd

Had an issue with my phone screen. The service tech noticed that it didn't require replacement and was able to remove a piece. He was very busy but made time to do it for free.

My iPhone 7 was not connecting properly--my technological terminology is likely all wrong--so phone call communication was broken almost all the time & WiFi connection often was broken, too--though my iPad functioned continuously. I made an appointment with uBreakIFix (Girard location) & expected to require a battery replacement. Ben, who helped me, explained I didn't need a battery; a new battery would not address my challenges. Ben assisted in completing the most recent needed update, checked on my phone often as the process unfolded, and after 2 hours when update completed, he sent me on my way, at NO CHARGE, declining my repeated request to 'tip' him or the firm for their assistance and honesty.
