LOVE this place!! I've seen it on Instagram and some of my friends have came here before and the desserts look too pretty to eat, but they are very delicious!
I got the mango sticky rice bingsoo, it was way better than I expected. The sticky rice was still warm, and it had the perfect balance of not too sweet and coconut flavor. The mango was sweet and a little tart, just the way I like my mangos!
My sister got their pandan crepe cake and omg, the BEST cake I've ever had! Currently looking for recipes to make a crepe cake bc I live in Oregon and it was really that good!
Highly recommend this place to my family and friends traveling to SF! Please open the next one in Portland :)

Damn one of my favorite dessert spot for bingsoo. Before U Dessert Story it was so hard to find a shaved snow place that was actually shaved snow not ice with big shareable portions. They have all of my favorite flavors including seasonal ones like Durian or Salted Egg yolk.

This place is not only aesthetic but actually taste good. I do like the new one in the Marina district more because of the Japanese brunch, but I'm always down for dessert in the afternoon.

They also have new items during different seasons so be sure to check out their menus for new things!

Cuteness overload!! This place is perfectly decorated for all your Instagram needs (and in October it's also spookified for a perfect Halloween yandere vibe). It looks small in the front but there's actually a hallway+room in the back with a lot more seating. We came at 8 pm on a Saturday and there was no wait (though there was a small line by the time we left).

We got the hojicha bingsoo (shaved snow) and it might be the best shaved snow I've ever tried in America. The roasted green tea flavor was very strong and the snow was shaved super fine. It also came with super chewy yummy boba and a molasses syrup that went perfectly with the hojicha. Also not to ruin the surprise but the brownie bites hidden at the bottom were the perfect way to rejuvenate the flavor in the last bites. And just look at how beautifully it's all presented!

The price isn't cheap but it's totally worth it. The service was good. I can't wait to come back and try more of their items!

Cute little dessert spot and I love the plants that they have in there! The desserts are super IG worthy and it was also really good! But it is quite expensive! I recommend putting yourself on the waitlist thru yelp if you have a big party. It was just my bf & I so waiting in line was faster than waiting for the next reservation that they had. We waited about 10 mins for an open spot.

We got the coconut pandan crepe, earl grey cheese tea, and blue lychee drink. The crepe was SO GOOD. So soft and creamy and it had the right amount of sweetness. It also came with a couple pieces of strawberries and whip cream on the side.

I loved the earl grey tea. It wasn't too sweet where it overpowered the taste of the tea. My bf liked his lychee drink. We paid $35 including tip for the both of us which is super pricey just for a slice of crepe and 2 drinks. But we enjoyed our dessert.

Went here for the first time with my parents to celebrate my mom's birthday. We walked in on a Tuesday night at around 7:30pm and came In during a good time. We got seated right away. 10 minutes after a herd of people came at the door! We got seated, was given our menus, and ordered whatever looked good on the menu.

We ordered the Mango Sticky Rice Bingsu, Matcha Lava Cake, and the Igloos Kakigori. The Mango Sticky Rice Bingsu's ice consistency was nice and fluffy. We ordered a large for the 3 of us and DEVOURED everything. It was good because it wasn't too sweet (on top of the extra toppings on the side). The Matcha Lava Cake has a dark chocolate shell with matcha filling. The matcha filling wasn't too sweet and it complimented the outer shell. My personal favorite was the Igloos Kakigori (limited time only)!!! First of all, I was NOT expecting them to light this up in front of me!! They were all good and not too sweet, which I like. You really get to enjoy the special flavors of each dessert and not just taste sugar--like most desserts.

Special shoutout to our severs that night!! You guys definitely made my moms birthday. I asked for a candle on top of the Matcha Lava Cake and ya'll... they brought out a whole party to our table. They lit up a sparkling candle on top of the cake, brought out drums, a popper, and had the whole café singing happy birthday to my mom! 5 STAR SERVICE!!!! Definitely a spot to hangout with good company.

Very interesting dessert options! Exotic and adventurous to the pallet. It's a lovely small place that has many interesting options to try out from the menu. The desserts are inspired from Asia ( we a durian dessert on the menu). Would definitely recommend this place.

Hands down! This is the BEST place for desserts and a must visit if you are in San Francisco.

Usually this place is pretty crowded and it's a good idea to reserve your place on Yelp before you come here. Otherwise it will take around 10 - 15 minutes inline waiting.

Heads up: The menu is broadly divided into cakes, toasts and ice creams. Toasts and ice creams have good portion size. Would need at least two people to finish them. As far as the cakes go, the position size is usual.

Here is my take on few famous desserts

    1. Thai crepe cake: This cake is delicious af!
The sauce it comes tastes heavenly and is undoubtedly the best of their dishes.

    2. Matcha tea crepe cake: I didn't like this cake as compared to others. Mostly because it is bitter to taste on the outside bland cheesy flavor on the inside.

    3. Sticky Mango toast: Woah!!! I love the toast, I love the mango, I love almonds and a mix of this is heavenly! This is the solution to all problems in life. Lol! :D I love this dessert!

Overall this place has some great desserts. None of the desserts are overtly sweet. Just the right mixture!

    Will always come back!

U will be impressed with the sweets that U Dessert Story has to offer! I came across this place on IG and had to come when in SF. Their desserts are influenced by Korea, Japan, and Thailand.

First off, the desserts are so cute and beautiful. Presentation is on point! It's very picture-worthy and nicely decorated. They have a lot of specialty desserts and drinks to choose from. We came on Saturday at 12PM, right when they opened, so there was no wait. Apparently, people make reservations to come here because it gets busy.

Mango Sticky Rice Bingsoo ($9) - Organic homemade crumble sticky rice, with mango puree and condense milk. They offer the bingsoo in a small or big size. I got the small it was just enough for 2 people to share. I love mango flavor and the server recommended this as the top choice. The snow fluff was shredded to perfection, however, it can use a stronger milk flavor. I love the additional warm sticky rice on the side. Yum!

As for the drink we got, it was a strawberry tea of some sort but I don't remember the name and price. It was very refreshing, but a bit sour. So I do recommend mixing the drink so the taste is even. The color of the tea was sooo pretty!

The dessert was aesthetically pleasing and delicious! You get what you pay for her in terms of quality and display. There's a lot of other items I hope to try in the future. This place gives off feels of dessert cafes in Asia and I really like that. It's the perfect treat on a hot summer day or if you have a sweet tooth like me. I wish I can try everything on the menu. Definitely come here if you're visiting SF!

UMMMMM how do people think it's acceptable to charge $14 for a SLICE of cake. Holy jesus christ. I can't even.

I mean you know I still be gettin that because I'm a fiend for desserts and trying new desserts but WHAT. Ridiculous!!

I got the Hajicha Banoffie because I've heard AMAZING things about it, but twas disappointed :-( It's more of a crumby cake, not necessarily creamy or delectable. For me, it just tasted like Banana with some whipped cream, which I can make at home for like 30 cents. Nothing special or worth the $14 in my opinion. Conceptually and visually, it works. But the taste just didn't blow me away.

The line was INSANE when I went, so we to-goed the cake, but so glad we did because it's absolutely not worth waiting in a giant line for. Can't really speak on any of the other desserts, but I genuinely think everything is very highly priced. Like this shit better have Jesus in it or something.

So many choices!!  I wish I could try everything.  We decided on two desserts and two drinks.  The desserts and drinks were delicious and beautifully presented.

The Mango Sticky Rice Bing Soo was Soo good!!  The ice is very fine and just melted in my mouth and there was a generous amount of mango chunks.  I loved the different items it's served with providing contrasting textures.  The sticky rice is chewy and slightly sweet.  I liked the crunch of the toasted sunflower seeds and coconut.  I also enjoyed the mango purée for added mango flavor.  My friends wanted it more sweet and loved the sweetened condensed milk.

The Chocolate Match Lava cake with Matcha ice cream was delicious and decadent!  I was surprised at how well the two flavors worked together.  Yummy!!

My friends ordered two of the most popular drinks-the Blue Lychee and the Mango Tango.

I will definitely be back to try the crepe cakes and more!!

Yum!  One word says it all!  The drinks, the desserts, the ambiance.  Everything was spot on, save parking.  We were fortunate enough to arrive just before the mad rush of people lining up to get in.  This is one of the few spots in the area that serve the Mille crepe cake.  And these guys offer at least 2 flavors of it!  And their snow items are just as delicious!

I came into U :Dessert Story a huge skeptic, knowing this place was designed for the gram, but boy was I pleasantly surpised. While everything was pricey, it was all so good - can't wait to return!

    * Chocolate matcha lava cake - 5 stars: Absolutely decadent with a moist chocolate exterior and extra oozey chocolate interior. So so delicious and one of the best renditions of lava cake I've had.
    * Mango Bingsoo (small) - 4 stars: Standard but good. Wish there as more than a tiny side of sticky rice, and more mangoes than ice.
    * Hojicha Salted Crema Tea - Tasty, strong, and surprisingly good. Did not expect a quality hojicha from a dessert spot.
    * Glass of plain milk - $5: SERIOUSLY?! Yowzers....

So yes, the prices are ridiculous, but the presentation is adorable and the desserts were delicious!

The desserts here seem so interesting and beautiful, but how do they taste? To start, I got the hojicha latte. It was deliciously sweet and rich. The green tea and milk complemented each other well. This was so good!

Okay so among the ice and cakes, we decided to share a coconut layer crepe cake. Wow!! The side of coconut cream with coconut pieces and  whipped cream. Deliciously sweet...and so soft. I loved this!

Quick to serve but it gets busy here. Make a reservation online to ease the process. This was a win! Got to try the others.

Cute lil place for bingsoo or Thai?? Inspired desserts! The place really reminded me of dessert cafes I'd been to in Thailand in terms of the menu and the decor. It's got a cute vibe where you can tell they're really trying to make it Instagrammable (so it feels a lil stereotypically instagrammable to me).

The desserts are pretty good - we got the matcha crepe cake, mango bingsoo, and Thai tea bingsoo. Everything is pretty sweet except for the matcha crepe cake. The waitress had warned us about it but I decided to go for it because I love matcha. I felt like the matcha was a bit too strong and it tasted kind of powdery. Wasn't a big fan of the matcha crepe cake. However the two bingsoo's we got were good although on the sweeter side.

You can get the bingsoo in two different sizes - a smaller and larger one and to be honest even the small size is great for sharing between two people.

They have the most esthetically pleasing desert. This place is fun, yummy and every persons happy place. It's so hard to chose what to order so each time we come we try something different. The deserts definitely hit the spot and the chocolate lava cake it heaven.
It was pretty busy on a Thursday night but we still got seated rather quickly and waited patiently for our desert. Service was good and we just can't help but come back for more.

Their special durian bingsoo dessert was unavailable because it was "out of season."
    Sad face!
So we ordered the ceremonial matcha and espresso shot and it came out on a gorgeous wood slab sprinkled with rose petals... What a presentation. This place knows how to deliver the WOW factor.

Our go-to spot for creative desserts is always U :Dessert Story! One of the only desert places we've seen that you can get a reservation for. It's hard to order because you want to try every creation on the menu. The Volcano Bingsoo and the Chocolate Banana Cream Cake are our two favorites though, after trying most of the menu...no shame :)

    3.5, rounding up.

The dessert here is good! but nothing I'd go out of my way for.

I generally don't like going to places that focus a lot on aesthetics because I feel like they sacrifice quality for aesthetics, but this place does it right in the aesthetics and quality department.

This dessert place is located next to Kitchen Story, so I'm assuming they have the same owner??

I had a reservation at 4:30 on a Saturday evening, but I'm not sure what reservations do?? They still had me wait in a line to be seated and it was the same line as general patrons. But I'm glad I didn't have to wait too long!

We ordered the thai tea crepe cake, mango bingsu, and an iced americano. Though everything we got was good, the only thing I'd get again is the thai tea crepe! or maybe I'd try a different flavor. Everything's a bit pricey, but we def pay for being in SF in general sooo.. shaved ice was good, but I think there are better places out there.
