Gonna miss this place (it's slated to close.) I loved bringing clients and colleagues here. This place has ATMOSPHERE! Love the local products, veggies, accessories, coffee, deserts etc, etc. to purchase. They really do BUY LOCAL & list what farms the produce came from.
Great Salads! Best 50/50 (Ice Tea/Lemonade). Local Beer on tap! Good Daily Lunch Specials! Great People!!!
I was NOT crazy about the slow service & the price of their pizzas (for the size given). Sometimes, it's hard to find parking (but it's just away from downtown -so it's FREE!)
That said -I would still frequent & liked to bring people here.
Best Wishes on your next endeavors!
Thanks for the good times!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jun 10, 2018
Jamie W. and I spent the morning at Graceland and went over to the Sun Studio right afterward to take a tour, but we were told we had to wait an hour to be part of the next available group. That turned out to be fortunate since we were hungry anyway and I had this place bookmarked. I had seen a YouTube video highlighting the healthy eats in Memphis, and the Trolley Stop was prominently featured with the vegetable-dominant pizzas considered the must-try. It turned out to be a couple of blocks from Sun, so we strolled over to find this cavernous spot. It appeared to be part market, part social venue, and part cafe and pizzeria. What drew me to the place was the veggie-friendly orientation in their menu.
It was nearly empty in the middle of the afternoon, so we were well served. I decided we should share an appetizer, so I let the server know we'd like the $9 Hummus Y'All, but Jamie laughed at my faux-southern twang. Good thing the fresh warmed hummus was tasty enough to forgive that lapse as it came with toasted pita wedges, carrot sticks, and cucumber slices (photo: http://bit.ly/2y7jayc). For his main, Jamie ordered the $13 Jillbilly Salad, a bountiful bowl with arugula, green olives, marinated tomatoes, red onions, avocado, feta cheese, pecans, and spring mix topped with grilled chicken (photo: http://bit.ly/2JSzdoa). The owners apparently grow their own produce nearby, and you could definitely tell by the freshness.
I was looking for something a bit heartier, perhaps it was the Elvis effect, so I went for the $12 Harvest Wrap, which was a combination of hummus, bean medley, spinach, tomatoes, rice, lettuce, mozzarella, avocado, and sautéed mushrooms, all of it wrapped in a spinach tortilla and seared on a grill (photo: http://bit.ly/2MfNs53). It came with a side, so I ordered the fruit medley, a mix of berries and grapes marinated in a simple syrup (photo: http://bit.ly/2t2QG34). It was quite tasty, and we were both satiated. We had enough time to peruse the local goods and food items lining the shelves against the wall before heading back to the Sun Studio. I'm glad I found this spot because we knew there had to be more than Memphis ribs for sustenance in this great city.

When visiting our daughter in Memphis we always go to this place. My fave has always been the Margherita pizza. We have tried many other items on their menu like the burgers, which are always good, their salads are huge & delicious, cookies, pies, soups, etc.
Now back to the pizza, something has changed & it's not for the better. Their sauce used to be so good you would want to get it in a bowl and just eat it like a soup. However, on this visit, sauce was flavorless, too thick, it seemed like canned crushed tomatoes. Now I know " The Trolley " & their owners pride themselves in "fresh from the farm, organic" eats, but pls. Fix the sauce!!!!! Pizza was NOT THE SAME!!! No flavor, bland, not worth my trip here all the way from MIAMI! I used to eat 3 slices, take whatever leftover pizza we had & eat it again for dinner or breakfast!!! I'm a pizza lover, but on this visit I barely finished my 1 slice. !!! We took the rest back to my daughters house & no one ate it. To the garbage it went. That's a sad thing to say, since this was our #1 place to go for Pizza.
So, pls. Fix this sauce problem so we can go back & enjoy this once famous pizza!! Thank you, pizza lover from Miami.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 431731051Aug 27, 2019
This is my spot! I haven't been disappointed coming here! I love their chimichanga (taco Tuesday) it was full of meat and nice cheese sauce over the top. The tomato basil soup is good and rich. I love their creamed spinach. There taco salad (taco Tuesday) is also really good plenty of toppings and meat and it comes with 2 sides. The black bean salad it pretty good I just added on top of my taco salad. If your looking for good ice, this place has it!

DOUBLE INTO THE IVY AT WRIGLEY TO DRIVE IN A RUN!
This place gives fresh a new name.
I grabbed lunch here with some associates before heading to a meeting at FedEx WHQ.
I had the grilled chicken hoagie and it was KILLER!! Fresh grilled Chicken with Lettuce, Tomato, Provolone Cheese, & Basil Mayo, served on a Hoagie bun. It was solid. Had a side salad with bleu cheese dressing that was delicious as well.
The service was fast and friendly as usual. Love this place.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 331453867Feb 10, 2019
I enjoyed the pizza and local brew selections at Trolley Stop. The biggest concern has always been the parking. If you're lucky enough to get a spot right behind the restaurant, consider yourself lucky. After that, it's a crapshoot of towing signs on private lots. Aside from that, they also have a lot of local food and crafts for sale in their dining area.

What a quirky, unique, delicious joint.
Thank you Yelp! We found this place because of you
We heeded your parking advice and were fortunate to have been able to park in the rear lot.
We got there about half hr before closing. The waitress was a doll! I asked what her favorite dish was (Chicken salad) and went with it. Oh My Gosh, AMAZING!!!
Hubby had the pepperoni pizza. He loved it!!

Ok, so I ordered take out this time. I was hangry and in the area. I ordered another burger (which was great), fries (not so much, but you get so many, so you can pick through them and get the good ones), lemonade, and the banana pudding.
Note to self: Ask to try a sample before purchase.
This was the second worse banana pudding ever. I offered some to a friend before I even opened it and they politely turned it down. As I opened and tasted it and spat it out, he says "That's why I didn't want any, it didn't look appetizing".
The only reason I got it is because the cashier RAVED about it during my previous visit. Maybe it's me, but egg custard and bananas do not a banana pudding make. I am sure a baby would like it. Please contact Ms. Edna Banks Hawkins of Mott & Ed's down the other end of Madison and ask her how to make a real banana pudding. I'm still giving them 4 stars, because other than the pudding, I'll still go back again and again. I'll just ask for samples of their desserts though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 6, 2018Previous reviewThis is going to be my Starbucks without the coffee. The burger is OFF. THE. CHAIN. I had the fruit medley with my burger. The fruit was sooo fresh. Strawberries were actually SWEET!!
Now about the place. I decided to come early for a meeting being held here. I'm glad I did!! The parking is in the rear. When walking in, you will see how huge this supposedly small place is. The eatery has items for sale and I spent quite a bit of time smelling candles, soaps, and gawking at handmade items.
I finally make my way to the bar and this big handsome curly haired gentleman ask me if I wanted my order to go. I guess they have a lot of take out and delivery. He told me of the "best" things to try. I tried the burger with a fruit medley. I don't even eat grapes without seeds, but.... Lawd the berries (straw, blue)were so good!!
I will definitely come here again!! All for less than $10. Give them a try. - Oct 9, 2017
Meh. This place is just alright. Maybe I ordered the wrong meal, but it was just OK. I got a large Protien Lovers pizza so I got 20" of meh. The crust was unremarkable, the sauce was unimaginative, and the toppings were not plentiful like the name suggest. Save a few bucks and go with any of the big three pizza joints. Little C's is DQed from the running due to price point.

Came here on a Tuesday evening. Read reviews about pimento cheese fries. Man, for $10, it definitely can feed a table. Theywere massive. Same for the pickle chips. No idea how they make any money for the serving sizes they provide. Definitely could have been happier with less money and smaller portions, lol.
Pizza was pretty good and the menu is very massive. Have plenty of beer on tap and a nice little bakery section.
As for service, had two guys serving us despite it being nearly empty, and service was great.
Lots of interesting little keepsakes for sale around the walls. I think the picture canvas' were neat, but just way too pricey and won't easily make it home on an airplane.
There is parking in the back. And a trolley stop outside that appears isn't used anymore. What a shame.
Around the corner is high-cotton brewing, where is where we headed after eating.
I'd come back for sure.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
