    Tony M.

Since 2009, Trio has been recognized as one of Palm Springs’ best restaurants- a destination for both locals and visitors. In 2023, owner Tony Marchese transformed the restaurant interior bringing a modern subtlety to the mid-century building in the Uptown Design District. Executive Chef Jeremy Loomis merges locality with seasonality and bold flavors inspired by the bounty of California’s ocean catches, ranch livestock and fresh produce. At TRIO we know exactly where our ingredients come from. Our farm-to-fork experience offers a unique opportunity for guests to connect with their food and the local purveyors and artisans who produce it. Tony invites you to connect with family and friends over a shared meal that celebrates a communal dining experience with dishes made from scratch like hot from the oven, freshly baked white cheddar biscuits and house made pasta.

Yes, and apparently it's excellent. A man let my friends and I ahead of him in line to get a table, but made us swear not to order the prime rib. He was very worried they would run out...we got the chilian sea bass instead...sounds like the prime… more

The food at this establishment is delicious, although a little pricey. My parents got the duck and chicken. I got the beet salad, which was also very tasty.

Service was ok. I'd say that they're trying as it is busy.

They are dog friendly here, which is nice. Our dogs did well here.

Great place with smart variations of traditional dishes. The service is great. And the people watching is almost as good as the food. Quite eclectic: and good mix of energetic youngsters, but still comfortable for us old fogies. And, without a doubt, remember this place for exceptional holiday dinners! The wine list has a good variety of selections, and the Bloody Mary's are top notch!
      Bon apetite!

The food was gross and overpriced. I could have done a better job, and I'm not a professional chef. The one thing I really wanted was the croquet and they had onions in them so I couldn't get that. They didn't have French fries, but the waffle potatoes which were basically the small potatoes you get in trader joes boiled and baked. Trader joes about $2 bucks. Here they were charging $14. They were not good.
The tuna tar tar were thinly cut sashimi pieces with some kind of gross green sauce.
The waiter was border-line rude and when I let him know we were ready to order he asked my friend that was male if he wasn't sure he needed a minute undermining what I said. I mean really? The last time I ate here I ordered the salmon and was sick afterward. My friend's pasta was okay nothing to write home about. Our table was chipped in the middle. For these prices the food should have been way better and better service. Way too many food options in Palm Springs to settle for this. Not returning here again.

We enjoyed our dinner here! The half chicken was really good and I loved the balsamic sauce that was on the plate. The chicken itself could have been a little bit more seasoned or salty as it was a bit bland, but the texture was amazing and it was juicy and tender. The ragu was great my boyfriend loved it and he said that his old fashioned was the best one he has ever had!! I loved the triotini it had such a great cucumber flavor.

We both love cheddar biscuits so we had to try them but they weren't our favorite. They had a bit of a burned charcoal taste. It needed a different flavor. I asked for some honey and it tasted better with the honey. Overall wouldn't order these again.

The service was really good and our waiter was very nice and helpful. Very fun to chat with.

This is a pretty good dinner option in the Palm Springs area!

Perhaps it was because we were celebrating a special occasion, perhaps we came on a night that wasn't terribly busy (early evening time on a Sunday)... or perhaps it is just.that.good.

      What we loved:
      - As the restaurant was pretty open, we got our pick of tables. We had a nice booth tucked away from other guests that made it seem like we were the only guests there.
      - The selection and quality for the kids meals seemed equivalent to an adult dinner entree (how often do you see salmon with vegetable pasta on a kids menu?). Being a pasta lover, all our pasta dishes were wonderful.
      - Service was top notch. The server was friendly and funny and went above and beyond to anticipate our needs.

      Will definitely be back!

Went to Trio for their happy hour. I had a great burger and my friends loved their bacon wrapped dates. The food is always great at Trio. I recommend it.

I searched healthy restaurants on Yelp and Trio was one of them. We called to make reservations, and were able to get a table, so we roared on over.

The gentleman who answered the phone had reserved a two person table, but told the hostess to go ahead and seat us at a larger table. She didn't. So with our plates, water and wine on the table, we didn't have much table space to hold hands. Cause we are romantic like that.

We started with the heirloom tomato appetizer, and I can honestly say it was one of the best dishes I've ever had. The balance of flavors and textures with the whipped ricotta, tomatoes and the crunchy farro was so pleasing, I can't wait to try and duplicate it at home.

I had a pasta dish that was delicious, but I can't remember what it was called. My hubby had the scallops and that dish was also amazing.

For dessert we had the Panna cotta, which was good, but we also had the olive oil cake on recommendation of one of the bus boys. It was terrific.

The one downside for my hubby was the coffe. He loves a simple black coffee with dessert. He didn't care for the coffee there.

Our server was Domenic, and he was knowledgeable and personable. He made some great food and wine suggestions, so if you aren't sure what to order, trust his suggestions. The place was packed when we had finished dinner, so definitely get reservations.

I would absolutely recommend this place. As a matter of fact, we did, twice the next day!

Heirloom tomato salad. You have to get this. Seriously.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Trios in Palm Springs on a late June evening, drawn by the positive reviews on Yelp. After a swift check-in at our hotel, my companions and I wasted no time and headed straight to Trios for dinner. Arriving at around 5 p.m., we found the restaurant relatively quiet, which was a pleasant surprise.

From the moment we walked in, the staff's warmth and efficiency stood out. We were promptly seated, and our drink orders were taken swiftly, recognizing our eager anticipation. With our appetites in mind, we placed our orders, and within about 15 minutes, our starters were before us.

The appetizers we chose were the Bay Scallop Ceviche, which I'd rate at (4.3/5) for its delightful freshness, the Coachella Valley Dates wrapped in bacon that balanced sweetness and savory notes beautifully (4.2/5), and the classic Wedge Salad (4/5). The flavors were inviting and set the tone for the main course.

For our main dishes, we enjoyed the Shrimp Spaghetti (4/5), Alfredo Wild Mushroom Fettuccine with Chicken (4.2/5), USDA Prime Coulotte Steak Frites (4/5), Sweet potato fries (4/5) and the Prime Rib (3.9/5). Each dish was well-prepared, showcasing a range of flavors and textures that satisfied our tastebuds.

Throughout the meal, the staff maintained a delightful level of personable attentiveness, ensuring our dining experience remained enjoyable. Notably, both the restaurant and restrooms were very clean and well-maintained, contributing to the overall pleasant ambiance.

I've heard murmurs about a reasonably priced prix-fixe menu available between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., offering a starter, entree, and dessert. Although I didn't have the chance to try it this time, I'm intrigued by the idea and will likely explore it on a return visit. For those interested, I recommend inquiring with your server about this special offering.

Parking was convenient, with options available along the street and in the restaurant's compact private lot situated behind the establishment.

In conclusion, my experience at Trios was a memorable one, highlighted by a diverse menu, attentive staff, and an overall inviting atmosphere. This is an excellent choice for those seeking casual American dining that doesn't compromise on quality, all at a family-friendly price point. With plans to revisit and explore more of the menu offerings, I wholeheartedly recommend Trios to fellow food enthusiasts and visitors to Palm Springs alike.

Had a really great experience at Trio. Made a last minute reservation and came in close to closing time so much appreciate these guys for accommodating us.

Enjoyed the appetizers, including the biscuits which were luscious and the croquettes - a bit over lemony, and the ribs which had a delightful miso flavor if a bit meaty / chewy.

Tuna crudo was a bit bland, but the half chicken was pretty incredible as was the ravioli.

Extra note for the service - our server was awesome - knowledgeable friendly, and read our desire for a fast meal perfectly. Kitchen was speedy as well.

Overall great experience and would definitely give Trio another try.

This used to be our favorite restaurant in Palm Springs before COVID. It was hella gay and packed with people during happy hour. We went this evening and it was close to empty. The newish bartender still makes solid happy hour well drinks, but the food seems to have dipped a bit. We ordered the hamburger and short ribs off the happy hour menu. The burger was delicious but could've used some more vegetable to cut the grease patties. Maybe at least one or two leaves of romaine and a tomato slice? The pork ribs were one degree too spicy and could've used a brush of the glaze on top to make it look more appetizing. All in all we missed the pre-pandemic crowd that used to fill Trio and I wondered if it might have to do with the food. Competition has become fiercer with the addition of restaurants on the strip such as Tac/Quila.
