Every step, from first contact to completion of the work was superb. Tree Trust's response to my initial request for an estimate was timely. They kept the appointment and Casey, the arborist, was punctual. He was not only informative but also asked a lot of questions so he had a very clear idea of what was wanted and needed. A date was set to do the tree removal and tree trimming. Once again, they came when they said they would. Everyone was professional, pleasant, respectful and took great care while they worked.
I've done some volunteer work for the Tree Trust but had no idea they provided tree related service until a friend suggested them.
I couldn't have asked for a better service provider.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Natalie P.San Diego, CA05Apr 9, 2024
Our neighbors had their giant tree cut. This company didn't alert any neighbors that this was happening. We had our driveway blocked for hours. The tree also fell literally 4 feet in front of our car, with branches everywhere. Completely unprofessional. Plus murders, that tree had nests on it, RIP baby birds. Don't support this place

I have heard good things about Tree Trust from a lot of people and got a quote from them on a tree I needed removed. They were very professional about scheduling and the details in the quote. But I did NOT go with them because their quote was literally twice as much as another quote I got. The folks I went with did a great job, so that isn't the issue. I have an inclination to support the non-profit, but if I am going to donate over a thousand bucks, I would rather do it as a donation so I scan deduct on my taxes.

Greatly discounted trees can be ordered in March and picked up in May. One per household! I had a great experience during my first use of this service. Having ordered a Juniper evergreen earlier this spring, I showed up at the Tree Trust pick-up in the Minneapolis impound lot and grabbed a beautiful four ft. Juniper that was healthy and ready to be planted immediately. There were a whole bunch of trees onsite ready for pickup. Onsite support was superb and there was a wonderful communal feel. I look forward to planting my tree this year and ordering another different variety next time around!
More info on the tree trust program, which operates in an annual cycle.
The City of Minneapolis offers 1,500 trees every spring for only $25 each. The trees are approximately eight feet tall with one-inch trunks. Usually around mid-March, any Minneapolis or St. Louis Park property owner - whether resident, business or nonprofit - can order a tree to plant on private Minneapolis property later that spring. Pick-up dates are usually mid-May.
Past varieties of trees - up to eight feet tall at the time of pick-up - include Bali cherry, bur oak, Black Hills spruce, Fall Fiesta maple, Honeycrisp apple, ironwood, Prairifire crabapple, Juniper, Korean Maple, Serviceberry, Princeton elm, red bud (tree form) and Whitespire birch (clump form). Visit www.treetrust.org to order or call 952-767-3886.
The City Trees program helps meet Minneapolis' eco-focused goal recognizing trees as a solid green investment. Since 2006, the City of Minneapolis has funded the City Trees program, a low-cost way for folks to help build the city's tree canopy. The City Trees program is a partnership between the City of Minneapolis and Tree Trust, a local nonprofit that works to improve the community environment. The free trees program for tornado-affected residents is made possible through a grant from State Farm Insurance and support from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and the City of Minneapolis. In the past five years, the City Trees program has provided 7,500 trees planted in Minneapolis.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
