Always a good experience here! They found a nail in the tire and took care of it right away. Excellent service here.
Stopped by for my 10K mile service yesterday (2016 Tacoma), which included synthetic oil change, tire rotation. I've got an issue with the driver's side interior door moulding pulling away. Service advisor had to order a replacement and will schedule an appointment when the part is in. I continue to have an issue with the sluggish automatic transmission and constant gear hunting, yet Toyota has not yet addressed the issue despite the fact that a large number of owners are reporting the same issue. Another issue that has not yet been addressed by Toyota is the trip meters A and B inadvertently resetting on their own. Service advisor was not familiar with the issue and had no answer! Both issues have been reported and case opened with Toyota of America and still waiting for a resolution. Hoping Toyota would soon release a TSB and a solution to these issues.
I brought my Scion tC into Toyota West for its 10,000 mile service. I felt very comfortable with my service consultant and browsed at some SUVs in the showroom while we waited. The following week, I heard back about my job interview for the state and was extended the offer for the job! So my husband and I went right back in that weekend and were greeted by Chad. We told him right away what we wanted, why, what we were interested in seeing, etc. We first saw the Highlander, and didn't love it as much as we expected. We checked out the 4runner, and it was love at first sight. We both test drove it, Chad took the time to show us every single feature of the SUV, and things people liked/didn't like about it. After test driving it, we actually drove into another lot and saw the exact same 4runner but in white, and it had leather heated seats. We went ahead and got that one. When we sat down for negotiations, you have to be an idiot to accept the sticker price. They (any dealer) are going to hand you the sticker price and their financing options and be like here you go. No. You do your own research, tell them what you want, and you go back and forth. I think I could have negotiated myself a better deal, but I still feel happy with what we paid. Also, research your own financing before you go. We were pre-approved through our bank, and they beat our interest rate. You have to hold the upper hand when negotiating anything. I'm a 26 year old woman, and they were not condescending, rude, or otherwise ill-mannered towards me. You have to be confident and hold your own. We had to bring the SUV back to get the side running boards put on that we had them order, and Chad was so helpful. He brought me back home since I had to be home to sign for a package, and then he brought my SUV back home to me after it was done. (I live really close). I had such an amazing experience. I love my Toyotas/Scions, and wouldn't hesitate to go back for purchasing or servicing.
I want to start by saying that the sales person we spoke with was great. He listened to what we said we wanted, and although he did try to alter it a bit, he understood when we told him we were sticking by our choices. Even though we did not buy a car here, he was helpful and I would visit -him- again. Inside the building is nice as well, sprawling with creature comforts while you wait. So why the 3 star review? Well, take those things out, and it's just a pretty blah dealership overall. We found the used inventory to be lacking, and the 2018's that they had, while they had a lot of them, were basically just rows of the same models over and over. Not much variety here. In addition to that, their prices just 'felt' higher than a couple of other toyota dealerships we visited. I would assume msrp is the same everywhere, that's kind of the point, but it's not uncommon to see them offered at a lower price. The lack of variety was also geared more toward the higher price models. Long story short, if you are looking for a higher price/optioned car and don't care about the budget, this would be a great place. If you're on a budget, want variety, or need a used car, though, it's probably not the best place to go.
I was planning to get a vehicle on lease. Since the price what they were offering online were pretty good, I visited the showroom. I wish, I would not have !! There was this sales guy with a fancy tablet, who instead of asking me what I need, started upselling me other model which I was least interested of. After telling him multiple times, that I am not interested in anything else but Corolla S, he showed me the vehicle. Now for the pricing phase, since he was not aware of even the high level details, he went back to find out the details for me. After about 10 mins of waiting, he came up with some number. The moment, I asked about the breakup of that number, he got annoyed. I am not sure about the reason. I tried to explain him that if I need to pay that amount upfront , I have every right to know, what I am paying for. Sorry to say the way he behaved afterwords took me off. I did not had any other choice but to leave the place and still this guy was behaving ridiculously. He snatched the paper from my hand. I feel sorry for Toyota West, since because of one person, the review has to be written for the dealer itself. Anyways, it was not my loss. I bought the vehicle next day from another dealer in town. Bottom line is , regardless of the price, you guys should work more on customer interaction and service. Thanks !!
I'm giving Toyota West one star only because Yelp makes it impossible to give less. When my wife was looking for a new Toyota, she began her search at Toyota West. My wife had previously leased a car from Toyota West and wanted to maintain the business relationship. The salesmen and his manager made a few outrageous offers. However, after a lengthy conversation with my wife, they made their final "lowest" offer. When she told me the price she was offered, I got the feeling that the salesman and his manager were trying to take advantage of my wife. Later that week, I called the other four Toyota dealers in the Columbus/Delaware area for the best price they could give us. Of the four I called, the price discrepancy between the lowest and the highest price was 1.69%. In other words, of the four dealers I called, the dealer with the highest price wanted $318.20 more (for the exact same car) than the dealer with the lowest price. Toyota West, on the other hand, wanted 10.3% or $1,933.93 more (FOR THE EXACT SAME CAR) than the dealer with the lowest price. My wife is a Latina and I am white. Draw your own conclusions about why the lowest price Toyota West offered her was $1,615.73 more than the highest price I found at the other Columbus/Delaware Toyota dealers.
Quick to get me started. Took a little longer than i thought it would for a scheduled tire rotation.
My first time being here to purchase a vehicle a sales person came back with numbers but before he did that he yelled out how much more I had to pay on my vehicle I was trading in and to have your business broadcasted beyond made me irate. That's why you get three starts however 6 months later we hoped to not be greeted by some obnoxious loud mouthed salesman. We were greeted by a man named Assad he was phenomenal very personable and intentional with my time and they also worked with better lease payment very pleased to walk away with a new 2017 highlander.
I had a great experience during my last maintenance appt at Toyota West! They were professional, fast and friendly.
These guys were great. Went in simply looking to test drive a FJ Cruiser and within a day, was a new owner. The price was great out of the box. Usually I am one for negotiation, but the vehicle was clean, had everything I wanted, and was better prices than anyone I could find similar. My sales guy Cody was on top of getting me pricing info and updating me on the financing. Milt is the guy in finance that will get you handled. The interest rate he got me in efforts of making the deal work was amazing, not to mention a deal on a warranty I couldn't refuse. No disappointments. Note that I am in the motorcycle sales industry and critical of other sales professionals. These guys have a good handle on it and I wouldn't hesitate to send someone their way.
My Toyota Camry 07 has an "extended warranty" issued for excessive oil consumption. I received an notification letter in the mail to take my car to an dealership to get the "oil consumption test" done. First by buying an oil change and driving for 1200 miles and than bringing it back. The service advisor notified me of an tiny valve gasket leak after the oil changed was finished. And I declined to get it repaired at Toyota bc the price was over an $150 and the part at Auto zone cost $15! No problem with running the test. No precautions or anything. Fast forward 2 weeks later. My car takes 5quarts of oil. After driving 1200 miles but I did a check half way point and notice oil burning excessively. On my dip stick by the end of 1200 miles I had less than a quart of oil my dip stick showed oil under the second dot on my oil dip stick. Mind you a normal working engine can run about 3000-4000 miles and only burn 1 quart of oil. So we have a problem and Toyota knows this is a known issue with this car. I bring it in and they run their test check took them super long to get back to me. Give me issues bc I didn't make an appointment. But I wasn't told I needed to make an appointment just to bring it back to check the dip stick. After taking me out to have a private talk about my car having an valve gasket leak est cost $150 and now an engine cover leak est. cost $850. $1000 in repairs when both parts cost less than $50 at auto zone. How ironic that I never see oil drippings underneath my car. They told me I had 1.5 quarts in the car after driving only 2 weeks. And in order to do an valid "oil consumption test" I have to get these things repaired before they would do the test. I raised a question saying why would you do the test if you knew I had to replace the leaks in the first place? I never had an engine cover leak in the first place so where would that come from? Why send me out with false hope knowing your going to make excuses not to replace the engine? Toyota put an lot of bad products out since 2007-2011 that has the same problem as mines "excessive oil consumption." All they could tell me to do was call back in tomorrow and ask Casey why he set me out on the test knowing I had oil seeping out of the gasket. If you put things in perspective how can an tiny leak and oil seeping cause 4 quarts to seep out in two weeks? I was beyond myself at this point with the service department. I plan to escalate the issue with the corporation. My family has been brand loyal since we came to America in 1981! My whole country is brand loyal in Cambodia. I am very disappointed in my purchase after only driving 161,000 miles I am having this problem with the oil. It's not oil leaking it's the Pistons causing this oil to burn. I paid my car off hoping it to last as the previous products of Toyota. This is what lead me to buy this brand in the first place. From witnessing older Camry's lasting 200,00-300,00 miles.
Had an excellent experience at this dealership when i purchased my 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. I was in contact with Chad (the internet sales guy) for about a week about the truck. Then i was introduced to Dean (the truck sales guys). I kept in contact with Dean for about 2 days before arriving at the dealership. When i got there, the truck was washed and ready to go. Took it for a spin and fell in love with it. Wheeled and dealed with the trade-in value if my Jetta, Dean, got it approved for what i was hoping to at least get for my trade. Dean was very informative and had a lot of knowledge about the truck. The paperwork and process of the purchase was done in a very timely manner. I was only there for approximately 2 hrs and drove my Tacoma off the lot......now i got a 7 hr trip home.
I would give it zero stars if I could. I went there for a new car and they were too eager to sell it to me right that second without me doing any further research. Of course I didn't and made my research... Just to find out that it was $2000 cheaper literally in all the other toyota dealerships. They are dishonest. Be aware.
Brought my vehicle in at lunchtime to get an oil change and tire rotation. Even though I didn't have an appointment They took care of my vehicle while I got some work done in the brand new building. Use the 1st entrance to the facility. The second drive is currently closed while they are building a parking lot
The service department gets 4 stars as they are friendly and great. I called last Monday for recall and the one guy told me that he could get me in. Cole & KC were very friendly and mentioned that my headlight was out when I pulled in. He also told me their price knowing that I probably would rather do it myself or try somewhere else. They even called to update me on the car and did a check-up on the vehicle for free along with the recall. Great Service! -I bought my Prius here as well, which I think i got a decent deal until I was stupid and bought the warranty. Don't fall for the warranty since I could find one online for $500 cheaper. But I liked the service and all of my interactions with employees have been positive. Professional atmosphere with a nice place to sit and wait while the car is being worked on.
There is currently much construction going on here for their new showroom, so call ahead if there's something you want to see--they will clean it up & bring it to the front lot for you. Breandan was ready to help us without being pushy. Since Toyotas hold their value so well, they aren't eager to come far from the sticker price, but overall it was a good experience, and I would recommend buying from them. I bought a Tecoma pickup, got an 8 yr full warranty (paid xtra), Ask for Breandan, he was great and took plenty of time to show us how all the gadgets work.
my lease was about up so I emailed through the website. The sales person was supposed to hook me up with someone since he wouldn't be available but he never did. Thank goodness. When I got there Breandan got stuck with me :) He was patient and helpful made sure I was happy. They didn't have what I wanted but Nick called all over and found my perfect truck in Indiana. it was delivered the next day. Ricky had everything ready to sign and we were out of there in 5 minutes. Toyota West bent over backwards for my daughter a few years ago and my mom only buys Toyota and the reason I bought there 3 years ago and again today. My Highlander is beautiful and was a painless experience.
The hubby and I went here a few weeks ago looking for a pre-owned Trailblazer. We figured that we would stop in to see what they had on their lot. We parked up towards the front of the building and walked over to the Used Car section of their lot. We were almost to the SUVs when a salesman came out to greet us. I wont mention his name, but instead of telling us his first name, he gave us his 'nickname'. We told him what we were looking for and he didnt know off hand what they had in their inventory. Again, we wanted a Trailblazer. He brought around an Envoy. Nope. He tried to get us to buy a Ford Explorer. Nope. Every time we asked a question, it was quite clear that he didnt have all of his homework done plus he didnt sound confident enough to sell a car. When we saw the price of the Envoy, we advised him it was not within our price range. He asked, we told him, then he's like, "oh we can work with that price." It was $2k off of the price. Um, whatever. You can tell that he was overwhelmed with our questions about the vehicles when he took us inside to refer to their dealership website. Yeah, we can look at a website at home too. Its just you trying to get us to buy a car there. Lets just say that we walked out of there and bought our Trailblazer elsewhere. P.S. this wasnt the first time we've been to this Toyota dealership. We were here last summer with my Mom to find her a new car (somewhat compact car, similar to a Honda Civic). Yeah, the other salesman was a little pushy and wanted us to buy right then and there. Lets just say that she ended up buying from another Honda dealer here in town.
I recently went to Toyota West to look for a pre-owned Toyota Matrix. The salesmen that I encountered were cocky, indifferent and condescending. Once they realized that they didn't have a Matrix on the lot, they started spouting off about why I should just get a Pontiac Vibe instead because it's the same car and it's $3000 cheaper. When I explained that I stick with Toyota because of loyalty, great past experiences with Toyotas and resale value, I got the snide comment, "Resale value doesn't matter if you get it for $3000 cheaper." Well...the price or resale for ANY car doesn't matter if I choose to take my business elsewhere and tell anyone and everyone I know to not do business with you and head over to Toyota Direct or Germain. Good luck with your bad Vibes.
*I did not have any experience with trying to purchase a car; 5 stars for the Bob from the service garage. We needed a special tool to take off some lug nuts and they did it for free for us. We went to Germain and they wouldn't help us out. Thanks Bob, you're the fuckin man!
