This is my go to teriyaki spot when I am in SP. it is family owned and are always very nice and attentive. I love Toyo Bowl! See you guys soon!
Good. Teriyaki located in a busy street intersection but worth stopping by. Healthy well prepared and generous portions.. good sized menu not just teriyaki .. a variety of Chinese soups and curries as well. Vegetables were fresh and not over cooked...great Service with a smile. Come hungry.
New Owners(Same family), better attitude (God bless the Original Owners), same prices, more reasonable portions, new menu items, new options, and better hours. Had to update the review out of respect.
First time at this awesome little Chinese place. I got their 10 piece California rolls and they were both delicious and FILLING. Nice and large rolls was was a perfect meal. I look forward to coming back here when I'm in San Pedro and trying some of the other stuff on their menu. They had a huge variety of my favorite Chinese items and I can't wait to see how the flavor is. Service was very friendly and quick when I visited.
Great hole-in-the-wall restaurant! Convenient to the Best Western San Pedro across the street.
Great food at affordable prices!! The service is very professional and they really care about the food they make.
This review is gonna be simple. Love the food. The owner is super nice. Great food. Gotta try this place if you're in Pedro!
Good food! I love having sushi as a side to beef and chicken. Substitute fried rice for white. Very friendly staff with whom I have had long talks. Ownership is new which seems to be the answer to old mixed reviews. These guys are great and have very tasty food.
Great place with delicious food. The owners are really nice, they let us sample their new milk tea and the relaxed atmosphere makes it perfect to eat at. The chicken plate is my favorite!
Picture grandma cooking and dad reading a newspaper while you wait with an occasional joke here and there. Unless its the lunch rush, then you entertain yourself. I always order the chicken beef combo with CA rolls, its delicious.
Great teriyaki spot. Definitely the best I've had in San Pedro. Service is great as well
This place is average to bland. The teriyaki tastes like bland meat grilled with sauce on it. I got the Thai tea and it was watery as well. The only thing good was the California rolls, and even those were just okay. The portions were generous and the price was right. The people were nice as well. But I'm still going to keep looking for a good teriyaki place!
Their crunchy shrimp rolls combo chicken and beef was so delicious!!! I will recommend it to everyone!
We were here for the Fred Hall fishing and tackle show and used yelp to find places to eat nearby. Went off the star reviews. Was a minute away from our hotel. Cute little mom and pop. The food was amazing. We got the order of pot stickers, the California roll combo with the chicken and the chicken friend rice. All of it was big portions and delicious. Will have to remember this place for when we come back into town.
Admittedly, I come to Toyo Bowl much more often than I probably should. But there are so many nights where my boyfriend and I can never settle on what to eat. When nights like that come, Toyo Bowl is always there for me. Why is teriyaki chicken my go-to when we can't figure out what to eat? Honesty, I have no clue but I feel as though I'll upset the balance of the realms if I change my go-to dinner dish, so best not to question it. Anyways, you really can't go wrong with Toyo Bowl. Everything is a decent price, food comes out pretty quick, and it tastes great. I haven't explored their menu thoroughly because my boyfriend and I tend to stick with the teriyaki chicken/California roll combo. And we enjoy it every single time. If you're looking for a quick bite, craving some Japanese food, or just cant decide, Toyo Bowl will be there for you. Toyo Bowl will be the light at the end of your dark food abyss, guiding you towards affordable deliciousness.
From an exterior view, this place is not somewhere I would eat. I came in on the recommendation of a peer. I decided to go with the CA Chicken Plate. The Chicken was freshly grilled, cooked thoroughly, crispy on the outside, but still tender. The rice was also fresh. The Cucumber in the California roll was crisp, and the avocado was green "not a greenish brown." When in the area craving a quick teriyaki plate, I might stop by.
I have been coming to this place Since middle school and always order the teriyaki chicken bowl w no cabbage and sushi rolls. I am not a fan is sea food or anything like that but this place is the only place I have ate sushi rolls (cal rolls) very delicious and the owners are very friendly ... Now that I have my son he enjoys watching the fish while we wait for the food and likes the chicken as well. Highly recommend this place it's small but it has good food
Love this place. Family owned and friendly people. I get the same thing every time the California roll and chicken are a good meal.
I love this place. Recently started getting their food for parties, and they're great. They have a California roll, shrimp wonton, and cream cheese wonton platter for $25. For day to day lunches, their fried chicken curry is great, too, along with the shrimp fried rice. Workers there are very kind as well.
I love this place! The owners are so sweet and friendly. Their food is amazing but some of my friends find it to be a bit bland, but it's all a matter of preference and what your palette is like. But I love their food!!!
