The food is probably the best at the airport.
The staff are helpful
Can be busy so make sure you got time before you order.
Try the Mexican hibiscus tea, when cold helps relax the tension and brings the body pressure down.

Rick Bayless does it again and he doesn't where many other celebrity chefs have failed...the airport.

So good! Use the kiosk to order; there generally isn't a line there and I've found the service be pretty speedy.

Cubana Torta is EXCELLENT!
Chips and salsa were stale and unimpressive.
Guacamole was very good despite the stale chips!

Very tasty food (unexpectedly good for ORD). Fresh ingredients abound. Limited seating but there is space along the opposite wall in the terminal.

Be prepared to wait if it's busy. My torta took nearly 30 minutes to make.

My plane was stuck on the tarmac at 5am so I googled bear food at Chicago O'Hare and all websites pointed to Tortas Frontera. I confirmed via a Reddit thread that the cauliflower sandwich is vegan without cheese. I also read that you should order online on your phone in advance. I ordered as I got off my plane in terminal 1 - c gates. It said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I took the infamous light up tunnel to terminal 1 - b gates, and only had to wait a few minutes for them to call my name and "online order." It's by gate B11 and a McDonald's.

I had added a note to my order that said "no cheese - vegan please!" I think they may have also removed the beans. It was cauliflower, some other grilled veggies, and avocado, with some green tomatillo salsa on the side.

Delicious! I would order it again when I have a layover in Chicago. For an airport, pretty cheap for the portion size.

-They could've added more garlic shrimp to my torta.

-Limited seating and sit times can be long.

Overall, I would stop by to grab food from this airport spot, again and again. Check them out, when you're traveling through ORD.

A recent long flight delay at ORD resulted in a food voucher from the airline. Tortas Frontera was the closest restaurant to my gate so I thought "what the heck?" Pretty good choice. I ordered their choriqueso torta and watched them make it in front of me, including avocado scooped from

Big fan of this airport spot. Within terminal B, the torta held me over for a nice lunch.

Torta Milanesa is lightly fried chicken with wonderful pickled slaw and salsa. I'd get it again, but I'm dying to try the others.

Big fan of here! For $16 it's a bit pricey, but much better than the average spot around here!

DELICIOUS!!!! The chipotle chicken torta was amazing!! I never thought I would actually find great food at the airport. I was highly surprised how tasty this was. The bread was soft yet crunchy at the same time. The blend of the black bean smear with the roasted salsa, avocado, cheese and rajas made this the perfect bite!!! I was highly impressed and will make it a point to come back every time I travel from ohare.
